I got a quote of $304. to perform a maintenance service on my Cadillac. When booking I was assured the total for all necessary parts and fluids would be included in that price. I also had a coupon from the Smart shopper for $40 off. When I went to pick up the vehicle I was OVERCHARGED! My bill came to $310 when it should have been $264. I called to complain and they explained that they have been operating this way for years. They refused to honor their quote but said they would refund $5. What a joke. I told them to keep the $5. Extremely bad customer service and even worse sense of honor and fairness. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You have been warned. read more

Scott's is the very best. They do excellent work, and are honest and fair. They are the experts at performance work. Scott's changed the differential gears on my Ford F-150 and "chipped" the engine for more horse power. The mechanical work was first rate, but the chip they installed did not contain the current data for my relatively new 2017, 5.0 engine. Even though the chip unit was installed, they took the responsibility and cost, and refunded the money for the chip in full. Anyone can make a mistake, but it takes good people to own up to it. I rarely take the time to leave feedback, but I was so disappointed with them that I had to speak out. The work they performed in April of 2019 on my vehicle failed in April 2020. It was driven less than a 1200 miles in that time. I contacted them in June, given the current pandemic, and they refused to honor their warranty. They refused to even look at what could have gone wrong. In a town like Bend, I think you should proudly stand behind your work. It was 4:46pm on Friday when a loud noise came from the passenger side of our Honda Pilot. We came from Tri-City WA in hope to reach Sunriver resort for the long weekend. Please read this before offering any business to Scott's! It will take a minute to read but *ALL OF* the following are facts regarding my experience with Scott's... Please read until the end. I am not a fan of submitting negative yelp reviews but, the public really needs this information. In October of 2016 I had my transmission rebuilt by Scott's. My experience then was so bad that I wanted to write a review but decided to take the high road. So let's start there. I first took my Ford Explorer to Wade Bryant where it was diagnosed with a failed transmission. After hearing the quote & sharing the news with a friend, I then decided to take it to Scott's on his (my friend's) recommendation. The job took 13 days. At the time, I lived in another state & the trip I had planned was supposed to take 2 days. During that time I missed work, lost wages, wasted money on hotel rooms (night after night) and even missed my anniversary. These are all facts that Scott's were aware of. Time was a huge concern, but I stressed that communication was an even bigger concern. The worst part of the experience with Scott's then, was the fact that I would be told that the job would be done on a certain day, and not only did the job get delayed every time... THEY WOULD NEVER COMUNICATE WITH ME!!! I even was guaranteed, TWICE!!!, that it would be done the next day, and that guarantee obviously was completely false. Each time I had to call them to get information. Scott's has no issue leaving you hanging, *even when they say that they'll call, *after you have informed them of the importance of the issue. They are not concerned with your needs! To top it off, they incorrectly mounted my muffler... which rattled until I had to pay another technician to fix it! It was already one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered and then, it GOT EVEN WORSE... 13 Months after getting my transmission completely rebuilt at Scotts, the car breaks down again indicating an issue with the power train. Here we go again!!! I called an alternate mechanic (before taking it back to Scott's) to get a second opinion. His diagnosis was all related to transmission ratio's. I took it back to Scott's and was told that they only guarantee, 12 months/12,0000 miles and that it had been 13 months, so basically, we were at square one again *with a blown transmission that was rebuilt by Scott's *13 months prior/1 month after warranty. At that point they said that they would get back to me when they have more information regarding my warranty. 5 days went by and the next question they had for me (when they finally called) was- the warranty company wants you to give us permission to pull the pan so we can diagnose the true problem. So they had my car, for 5 days, and did absolutely nothing with it, even though they F-ed it up in the first place & knew I was already unhappy! I had also asked Sam to have Scott call me the day before I brought it in. Of course I received no call. When I arrived at Scott's with my truck, I asked Sam if he told Scott to call me. He said "yes I did". When Scott came out to speak with me he denied being told that. So you have finger pointing and lying happening right in front of the customer. So here we are, a week later, and we have no official diagnosis. Fantastic! I decide then, that I am going to cut my losses with Scott's and take my truck to A REAL PROFEESSIONAL, WHO IS NOT BURNT OUT ON CUSTOMER SERVICE! I AM SPEAKING DIRECTLY TO YOU SCOTT! YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO INTEGRITY, & IT SHOWS! To worsen an already horrible situation, of course, Scott's had the audacity to charge me $50 for a print out, of what their computer said about the issue my car had. Which I had already provided to them from the other mechanic. Nice way to squeeze every last dime you can out of an already disgruntled customer. **I waited to have the fact that my entire transmission was blown confirmed from Roberson Ford before writing this. Oh yeah, they turned the job around in 5 days. Complete rebuild, *from start to finish. They also warrantied parts and service for- *3 years *Unlimited mileage. A company that stands behind their product and service. However, I was out thousands more due to Scott's obvious incompetence. I would be extremely hesitant to offer any money to this company. EVER. I would also like to clarify that at no point, during any of this, did Scott offer an apology. read more

Top notch service by some awesome individuals!! One of the most important things I look for in a mechanic is honesty, and theses guys have absolutely hit the nail on the head. When I don't NEED something or can go a bit longer without it, they tell me. When there is something I can do to cut costs, they tell me. They've even helped me asses new vehicles for purchase, informing me that the costs of repairs would not be worth the purchase. Never let me down and my go to guys. Highly recommended!!! Well it took Scott's 10 months to notice the review and attempt damage control. The shop is incorrect. The car was brought in for overheating in the winter. The shop diagnosed the issue with a thermostat. The car didn't make it home, over heating. Brought it back, scotts said, blown rear heater hose, charged her for new coolant and hose. Car over heated again. Took to Scotts, I got involved, they said we need $$ to diagnose. I pick up car and took to Grants Pass. My mechanic diagnosed it in 10 minutes, head gasket or head. Thanks to Scott I was able to fix a problem that the previous owner of my car caused. There is no way I wanted to re thread my spark plug hole myself. I took my daughters Mazda Tribute in to Scotts for a transmission flush and oil change., The technicians could not have been more professional and honest, showing me the very dirty air filter and suggestion I replace it, they gave me the price as well. The also noticed a burned out license plate light bulb and again asked before replacing it . Their prices are very reasonable and they were most prompt with their service. Scott ripped me off. took my truck back 3 times, charging me for warranty work. Lied to me about who was working on my transmission. He sent it out to another shop because he didn't have a mechanic to work on transmissions. Took him to court and got my money back. You can't trust him. read more

I have taken my 2010 Rav4 to Scott's a few times now for maintenance work (never had any major work done there) and now I won't go anywhere else. I would highly recommend them. Twice now I have been told by other mechanics that I needed work done, new shocks the first time and then a coolant flush the second time. I took it to Scott's and they have saved me a ton of money by inspecting the problem and deeming that it actually doesn't need to be done. They could easily just do the work and make the money, but instead they do what's right for the customer and the vehicle. That's how you keep them coming back! I brought my 2010 Sprinter Van/RV to have the alignment done after being referred by Discount Tire. The van drove fine but the camber was off so the wheels were tipped in / \. Getting the wheels straight before installing new tires seemed like a good idea. The first alignment appointment they said the camber wasn't adjustable. Really? So, I provided them with detailed instructions via email on how to adjust the camber and re-scheduled to have the alignment done. During the appointment I asked why it was taking so long; the front desk guy gave excuses why it was so difficult and said the mechanic was frustrated (could hear tools being thrown around). I told him I could take it elsewhere if he didn't know what he was doing; he assured me that wasn't necessary. 2.5hrs later they pulled the van around. The typical $78 alignment somehow turned in $217.27. I questioned him about it and said that wasn't right... then finally gave in and paid him to be done. Now, the camber is off the same amount as before just the tires are doing this \ / instead of / \. How hard is it to make tires straight?? Now it wanders and the steering wheel isn't straight. So, it drives worse off than before. I called and confronted them about the issue; he argued that was the proper spec and I didn't know what I'm talking about. Really? Great customer service. Finally he said the owner would call. 5 days later... no call. I emailed. No response. While sitting in the waiting room, I heard numerous other issues with other customer vehicles. They clearly are not professional or skilled. Bottom line: You might be fine for certain repairs. However, they will accept work beyond their ability and won't resolve issues. Take a chance or find a different shop. I've now scheduled to have the alignment done in Portland by a reputable shop I've worked with for years. No idea who would recommend these guys!!! read more

I made an appointment for brakes and shocks for my truck, showed up exactly on time for my appointment, had hired a babysitter to be home with our infant and arranged for my wife to meet me at Scott's during her lunch break so she could give me a ride home - which is nearly half an hour from Scott's. I made this all very clear when I scheduled the appointment to which they said no problem. On appointment day I arrived on time. There was nobody at the front desk but I saw a man in the office on the phone so I lightly tapped on the glass. He glanced my way and then ignored me. I waited another couple minutes, knowing I was short on time as-is since my wife had to get back to work, so I tapped on the glass again. The man came out very annoyed and said he was on two business calls to which I replied I had an appointment with him and was on a very tight schedule. He was extremely rude so I said I would take my business elsewhere, and I turned around an left. There's no excuse for horrible service like this, especially when I had made an appointment well ahead of time, hired a babysitter and arranged for my wife to meet me. I would highly recommend not attempting to deal with these people. read more

They did a great job explaining the type of transmission service they provide and why it's a better route than flushing and filling the system. Service was top notch and completed in under an hour.
