I hate paying for boxes but sometimes you need a specific shaped box or a box that holds a certain weight. I had to buy boxes for my move and this was my go to place. They sell good quality boxes and the male cashier was very helpful in telling me not to buy boxes that are too big for my move and helped me find different size boxes for all my needs. read more

I LOVE this place! This is the only place where I can get the perfect mailing tubes for my posters at a great price. The employees are always super nice and friendly. :) read more

This is my go-to for cardboard boxes that are clean, fresh, and new. They have a terrific selection and, if you have trouble locating the size you need, the staff is amazingly adept at finding it amid the well-organized stacks. I have used Box City for all my moving and storage needs. If, G-d forbid, I should ever become homeless, I would go there to find a suitable dwelling. read more

They have boxes on boxes on boxes. Every shape and size, plus they have every kind of tape imaginable. They have private lot parking and a rear entrance so it's convenient to get in and out. They even offer shipping if you need it. What more do you need? read more

This place is awesome. They have literally every kind of box you could ever need from tiny jewelry boxes (they even have the velvet boxes) to huge moving boxes. Some sizes come in various colors and thicknesses as well. They know their products and can therefore help you with whatever you are trying to do. If you are moving, they have packaged of boxes for the various sized houses that petite live in. Boxes are cheaper the more you buy. You can order online and have then delivered our picked up. They have other accessories such as packing materials for cheap. YOU CAN RETURN YOUR UNUSED BOXES! Free parking is available behind the store. read more

Welcome to Caine's Arcade dream store! Seriously, any box size you can imagine is in here. If it's not, well then it probably doesn't exist. I always come here when I have something I want to pack and ship myself, that is an awkward size. Besides boxes, they also supply bubble wrap, butcher paper, and packing tape. So they've got you covered as far as getting your precious items ready to move or mail off somewhere. And if that wasn't enough, they also sell poly bags and gift boxes. I normally find parking on the street, in front of the store. Although they do offer a lot in the back for customers. My only critique of this place is that you can easily find yourself endlessly wandering the store looking for the perfect sized box without anyone offering you assistance. However the sales clerks at the front are normally happy to help you out if you ask them to. read more

Large selection of moving or shipping materials but skimpy on service, professionalism, courtesy and common sense. Bought a butt load of stuff to use in moving, unfortunately movers wouldn't use the roll of bubble wrap. Returned the unopened roll (trying to be green), but was informed that without the receipt from the day before, they wouldn't refund the $5 but told me that they'd issue a store credit. Nice but they don't have a store outside California. Moral = they'll take your money but can't remember they took it. Very personal (said sarcastically). read more

This is the only place in LA that sells poly mailers for shipping at a fair price. You can buy the mailers individually or by the dozen for a greater discount. About 1/3 the price of the office supply stores. Their staff is helpful and friendly. read more

Place is a mess, but mess in a perfect way! They have got all kinds of boxes available for you to choose. I believe they actually have the best price too. Even if it's buying singles, or 100s, they are still cheaper by a bit. Since I have a store, that bit actually helped. If you buy lots, they help you put it in your car or they provide delivery for only $30!! I order them online for pick ups, and they will help you transfer the orders to whichever stores you want to go right away. Professionally done! read more

If you need boxes this is the place to go. They sell everything you need to pack and ship things out. The employees are nice and helpful.

How should I sum this up... This place will have EVERYTHING that you could possible need for boxing/packing - in a small non-assuming retail outlet. Friendly staff and CHEAP! Definitely go here. read more

Amazing selection of boxes, decent selection of packing supplies & materials. Far better prices than anywhere else I have found.

This is a fantastic place. They have ANY kind of box you would need from moving boxes to a nice wedding gift box. Tape, packing peanuts, bubble wrap and wrapping paper too. Everything in the store is well labeled and easy to find on your own although the staff is helpful too. They have packed computer equipment for shipping across the country and they did an excellent job. Sometimes it's worth it to just have them take care of everything. Leave plenty of time because they are thorough and sometimes it takes a while to get it all together. Look here first and skip Office Depot. The only bad thing is that they do not ship FedEx. They only ship UPS. read more

Clean and nice.Very fast service . The guys helped us .I like this store because every time it's empty and you can take what you need fast . read more

This place has any and every type and size of boxes you may need. WHen you first walk in you may go into cardboard overload. But the staff is friendly and will walk you through everythhing you may need or what would best suit the needs you have. They don't oversell you. You can buy individually or buy packages if you are moving. They have someone who can help you load your order in your car. This place is great. They have reasonable prices. Checkout was fast and order pickup even quicker. Parking behind the business or on the street. Park behind the business much more convenient. I love this place and will return again when the needs arise read more

I sold a guitar on eBay and needed a box. I went to Box City, walked in and said, "I need a box to ship a guitar." Guy says, "Here, this is our guitar box." Gave him $10 and that was that. Nice and easy. The guitar fit perfectly too. read more

For the employee that just shut the door as I was walking to this establishment, very rude! I did not realize you guys close at 4 on Sundays, but the employee that was working 2/15/15, saw me walking towards the back door at 359pm, instead of using your words like a human being and letting me know, you shut the door assuming I would get the hint. Well I got the hint AND this establishment also lost a customer and gained a negative review. Taking my boxing needs to Orchard Supply Hardware! read more

THE most versatile store ever. And the staff is always helpful. Seriously, have you ever wanted something to pack/mail/store an object and wondered how you'd get a container for it? this is the place. Prices are amazingly reasonable. Seriously, one of pasadena's gems read more

Very helpful service. A boxes in almost countless combinations of LWH. The staff are pleasant and will package things well that require added support for shipping. I doubt I could ever give a box store a 5, just the thought of a box store that deserves 5* creeps me out a bit. The packaging may not have been perfect, but the workers definitely know boxes! They don't carry the newer air filled long bubble packs, so you'll either have to use large bubble wrap (my favorite for loud pops) or styrofoam (eww, ok ok, I won't comment on our landfills!). I will come again. read more

Every box imaginable. The have fillers and bubble wrap. I only came for a few moving boxes and a few white boxes for projects. They could definitely use new labels for the shelves with a photo of end result. I simply folded a few sizes to see which would work best. Great prices. More boxes, reduced price. read more

Dishonest, Rude and Pricey!!! Examples: a case package listed at .17 cents a pc for 500 a case. Should add to $85. But by the time you paid, they and another $5 to the decimal. Which is 500 @ 0.1789 = That's very dishonest sales method!! They should not cheat customers like that! Bad People! read more

Who'd have thought one could love a box store so much? I love it so much, this is the first time I ever bothered to even write a Yelp review. The assortment of sizes is amazing, not to mention the large variety of miscellaneous items they have and the reasonable prices. Even when they didn't have the size box I needed, they cut some existing boxes down to size for me. Great service! read more

Probably the worst service I have ever received in a store. I stood for 20 minutes while the blonde woman working there had a personal conversation in Spanish. She did not acknowledge me or try to help me. They are horrible and don't care to help customers. Go someplace else. read more

What a selection! Seriously, any packing or shipping need, they've got it. Parking in the back.

Everything you ever need for shipping and packaging! The people that work here are very helpful, and the prices are so cheap! I'll definitely be going here a lot more for my shopping supplies for my small online business! read more

Good place to get every single size box possible. make sure you know what LxWxH you need your box to be. it'll make the process of finding exactly what you need that much easier. read more

Helpful staff with stuff I needed. Dark and unwelcoming space, though: seems like they should get a strong air filter in there, so they and their customers don't get sick from all the particles read more

I ship a lot of stuff and Box City is a pretty great one-stop shop. Packing supplies are inexpensive, at least compared to the ripoff prices of your average office supply store. Good selection of packing tapes, mylar bags, bubble wrap, and peanuts in various quantities. The box selection is also really good. Usually I can find something pretty damn close to what I need. Decently well-organized, huge selection, reasonable prices that get better when you buy in bulk. Sometimes the folks that work here get overwhelmed with the customer load, but otherwise, they're really helpful. Love that I can call this place, rattle off dimensions of what I'm trying to pack, and immediately the employee on the phone can tell me what they have that's close to that size. read more

Great staff. Needed boxes to move my tv, sound bar and a large painting. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes with hard to find boxes, large bubble wrap, etc. read more

This place is great, didn't know there was a whole store dedicated to boxes. It's perfect for people who are constantly shipping stuff out. You can find the perfect size because they have soooo many options. They also have gift boxes and tape, etc. Pretty good prices too. Only reason I took a star off is because it's slightly messy and some boxes are hard to reach so have to constantly try to find an employee to get the higher up boxes. Maybe that's just me though cause I'm short. read more

Need a box? Box City probably has what you need. They have shipping boxes as well as different sizes of gift boxes. Also, they carry supplies like bubble wrap and peanuts. They've moved to another location, still on Colorado, but between Hill and Lake. Kinda across from Michael's. There's not much to say about this place. Buying boxes is a pretty impersonal act. You just pick out what you want and pay for it. read more

They had every box we needed at fair prices and took all of the ones we didn't use back. I couldn't really ask for me from a box store. I'll use them again. read more

Whoa. Just left there and it's pretty impressive. Wall to wall boxes. I wish I knew about this place when I was a college student moving from place to place. They have all the extra things you would need for moving. I also saw at their counter that they had a suggested list/costs depending on what space you were moving from. For example: 1 bedroom, etc. After I showed them my scribbled out dimensions they found the perfect box in record time! I'll keep them in mind for any future box needs. :) read more

If you need boxes for any purpose this is the place to know about. While posing as a storefront operation, when you enter you find ceiling to floor boxes and a great selection of shipping a packaging supplies. The staff is attentive and provides help to locate your items. Parking on Colorado can be tight, but be aware that they have a huge parking lot in the rear with an entrance there. It is much more convenient than parking on Colorado. read more

Jose and the guys at this location were super helpful. Told them what I needed and they went hunting for it and found exactly what I needed. Great selection of boxes of all sorts, not just moving boxes. Will go back for more when they restock since I bought out all they had in what I was looking for. read more

Great selection of boxes and packing materials. They're open early at 9 a.m. makes it easy on the weekends. The only knock is there a lack of customer service it wasn't bad it just wasn't service-oriented. Poor attitude expresses lack of pride in your efforts. read more

Shipping Ceramics? this is THE place to meet the UPS standards of 2boxes, one inside other, with 2"of peanuts around. Every box size plus the most helpful, knowledgable staff!
