Honestly, love this place I feel like they always have an amazing selection of tools hardware building material materials. Everything that I need gardening supplies, gifts, and items you wouldn't expect to see in a hardware store anymore truly old Americana like a hardware store you'd see in a movie because they have everything and they can help you with whatever project you're working on. I actually brought in a knife to get sharpened and they said their machine couldn't accommodate it but they offered two free knife, sharpening in lieu of not being able to do my little large and probably excessive bowie knife. I think my favorite part it is very hard to find a good hardware store in this area. Home Depot could never. I always feel like I buy more than I intended, but it it's all very affordable and high-quality so it's worth the money. read more

I have been a customer at this place since 2013, but recently the service has been the worst. I purchased a deadbolt and when I had it installed it was defective for it protruded on the outside. I went to return it and a woman with blond hair checked the parts 5-6 times. She finally said it was protruding and I explained that it is the reason I am returning it. She then told me it had to look like the others on the shelf for me to get any kind of a refund. Mind you I had my receipt. A man named Victor then grabbed a second deadbolt from the shelf and started demanding it look the same for a return. He then yelled at me a single woman trying to get service. It was so bad that the blond woman had to intervene. It was the worst experience and I was short of calling the police. I was given store credit which was hard for me because I do not plan on returning to this place. They do not stand behind their product and then on top of everything abuse you!!!! I didn't know ..told her I had washers but that might not help. she said it wouldn't. I said I have my car right outside the holes are right there. she said she needs a size. I said you can't come out to my car and check? First of all ive Been going here for years!! Im never one to complain about anything, but i have to speack up on these 2 rude mother F ers working there! Yesterday i show up around closing time to rent a snake. I get this young kid around 23 or so with shoulder length shaggy hair to help get this very heavy machine to my truck. I asked him exactaly the steps to use it& he starts getting angry explaining it! Im like why you mad for having to do your job?? He says "its time to go home" Like wtf!! This is your job your lil prick! Im asking questions & your being a lil Ahole! I told him to just get out my face& i didnt need his help!! Stopped by for a few nuts and bolts to repair my fence and tighten things up. I have not been here for a few years (maybe 3ish years). Totally remodeled, much more presentable. I forgot to ask this young guys name, he was very helpful and asked many questions to help me out. This store is neat, organized and clean. Prices were around the same as Home Depot. Cozy store with pretty much everything you might need to maintain your house. Parking in front of door, parking lot shared with Food 4 Less and street parking. I've been coming to this location for about 9 months for all of my home repairs/projects since I moved into the neighborhood back in Feb 2018. I've dealt with most of the employees, and specifically the store manager on multiple occasions. I've always had pleasant interactions with him and everyone is always very helpful. Today, I had a small issue with a product that I purchased and not only did the manager handle it upon my returning to the store, but went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. It's not the first time this happens, they have this little old mexican guy watching you as if you're going to steal something. Experiences here have been good. I tend to like to buy my nails and screw here, good selection, and I can buy the quantity I want without having to buy a bunch I don't need or want. The prices are generally competitive with Home Depot; some are more expensive and some are better priced, just like any other store. Being able to get in and out quickly is a major good reason to shop here, and the customer service has always been available for me. I recently called in and asked if they had Thompson Waterseal, they got me a quick answer, and the price was in line with what others were charging, I was in and out of the store in a few moments and heading home. Home Depot does not carry that product, and even if they did, the social distancing lines would have been impossible for me to get in the store. This Ace is a good option, worth the trip to buy and compare. read more

Horrible customer service! I had a key cut, returned it because the wrong blank was used and the key didn't work. The employee could obviously see the error instead of finding the correct blank or offering a refund, he placed the key in the cutter pretended to correct the cut and said "that should do it" Dishonest tactic, hostile attitude. As a former retail/business owner, I must write that my experience here was the worst experience I have ever had with a brick and mortar. I came here and had let the person working the front counter know that I was in need of renting the smallest snake possible for a shower drain. They directed me to , what they said at the time was the smallest snake, and so I went with that one. So I get it home and the cable is too big! I take it back and I tried to explain the situation and the owner treated me like I had an hidden agenda. I asked him if they had a smaller ones for shower drains and he said yes. I asked him "why wasn't I given that information before?" He then proceeded to treat me in the worst way I've ever been treated by someone who is the actual owner of a business! He said he thought I was full of "Baloney". I would not recommend this place at all and really ashamed to write that you are better off going to Home Depot or Lowe's. read more

Horrible experience due to terrible customer service. Came here ~2.5 hours before closing and rented a power drill. Normally they charge $10 for 4 hours, but charged me $7 dollars for three hours instead due to the fact that the store was closing soon. Finished using the drill and started heading back to the store. I was literally parking at the store (about 20 minutes before closing, still had rental time remaining) when I received a call from the employee who rented me the drill. First words out of his mouth "What's the deal? Where are you?" What the heck? Talk about rude. Yes, I understand that you may have customers who don't come back on time, but don't lump everybody into the same category. If you want to give me a reminder to get the drill back by four, that's fine with me. Give a gentle and courteous reminder instead of using such an accusatory tone of voice, especially when I've done absolutely nothing to merit this treatment. Since I rented the drill for 3 hours, and I still had an hour left on my rental time, I could have waited until half an hour after the store closed to spite the horrible service. But I'm not that kind of person. I'd rather vent on Yelp. read more

This is a great place to pick up small parts or hardware you didn't realize you needed when you started that certain job. The staff is always really friendly and helpful. Although small, they do have a really good selection of plumbing parts and fasteners. I have picked up parts to mend both waterhoses and electric guitars here. I usually get my keys cut here too and if they don't have what I am looking for, they will offer to order it or they will suggest a place where I can find what I need. They will also suggest a local plumber or handyman if that is what you need. I will usually go there first if I need something for a repair at home, before I try Home Depot. read more

Yet again, I'm suddenly in a bind (the guy fixing my sink is missing a part, the dishwasher being installed is missing a part, I'm having a bbq and I ran out of propane, today I need to get fuses tested because my HVAC just died...in this crazy heat) and Jim - and everybody, always- is unfailingly nice AND has the part, or, today, yes they can check the fuses for me. They always seem to have what I need somewhere or in the one instance where they didn't, Jim (the owner) referred me. Absolutely the worst treatment I have ever received while patronizing a business, by a man named Gabriel, who told me that I heard wrong and was incorrect when I told him that another man told me yesterday (Monday) that my window screens would be ready after 5PM the following day and that they close at 7PM. I had arrived at 6:06PM (Tuesday) and the store had apparently closed minutes before as there was a gate over the door with hours posted showing that they close at 6PM. Gabriel told me that I lucked out and implied that he was doing me a favour by allowing me to pick up the screens which I had paid for in advance the day before. Monday I interacted with a gentleman and a young lady who were both very pleasant, and helpful. The following day the treatment I receive is the dichotomy of the day before, as there was a different woman who stood by while I debated with Gabriel about the lucidity of my recollection. She appeared to empathize with Gabriel, though my perception may have been incorrect. I will never step foot in this place again. Note: even when I told Gabriel, that maybe the gentleman the day before had made a mistake; he was still adament in being negative in our dialogue. I am fortunate the screens were properly made so that I do not have to return to this establishment. I definitely did not express happiness in our communication, but Gabriel's tone and demeanor never afforded me the opportunity too, even though I made it abundantly clear that I was not disputing the store hours, but rather what I was told in relationship to them. read more
