This facility has MOLD, NO CARTS, and water leakage in units, which is absurd for a 10ft x 15ft space that costs $539 per month (up from the original rent of $356 monthly). I've rented a storage space here for about 1.5 years, and I recently found water leaking into my unit and damaged personal belongings. I had to pay for a second storage unit so that I could move my items out of the current space to prevent more damage. The staff and management are very unhelpful. There is rarely anyone in the office, and no one answers the phone. I even reached out to the district manager, who arranged for a few technicians to help me move units, but twice they were no-shows on the agreed upon time. read more

I tried getting ahold of someone here so I could cancel my storage unit. There is never anyone working there. Each time I went nobody there no matter the time. The only way to contact them is by phone message. No email, nothing. So I asked the girl who showed up at 10am that I wanted to leave and she said well you would have had to have been out yesterday and that I'm locked in another month. I had called the day before and they didn't call me back. So that cost me $350. Oh and the rent just goes up and up. Scam artists. This place makes me sick read more

I contacted customer service seeking some empathy with matter after my mother's place flooded back in December thus had to rent a storage unit for her belongings. She has now moved in to a new place and vacated the unit but went over a few days in to May because the new place was not ready on the 1st. I had (already) contacted the property manager here at the Lincoln facility back in December and explained but was told the month had to be paid in full. I cannot believe the poor customer service and greed of this company just to make money and not empathize with the hardship some people might be facing. I will definitely NOT recommend this business to anyone and will make sure not to return ever again. I will make sure to share my experience on all review platforms so that others can think TWICE before doing business with Public Storage. Oh, and by the way RED ALERT*** ridiculous that they have increased the rental price by almost a $100 in less than 4 months. Since Negative ratings are not available I will give them a One Star. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU AVOID RENTING STORAGE SPACE FROM PUBLIC STORAGE. I have been a customer for nearly 20 years and my location at 511 S. Fair Oaks in Pasadena, CA has been having a lot of Robberies according to the local Pasadena Police Dept. Yet the other current tenets have never been informed and warned. I suffered a break into my Unit space some time in January and was robbed of Family jewelry and priceless mementos from my family of my deceased mother and father and sister.. These family things are irreplaceable and to this date I have had no contact to solve the crime whatever from the location management nor Public Storage Corporate to help file a Police Report nor help me find the thieves and get my things restored. In fact. The only call I have had was to inform me that if I don't continue with my payments, PS would lock up my space again and place a Lean to sell what is left. They also said they would not review the security tapes and only work with the Police. As it turns out the indoor Video Surveillance System .does even work according to the Police. It is abdominal and cruel and the management could not be ruder nor less concerned about the safety of their units . Public Storage is a perfect example of PATHOLOGICAL CORPORATE CAPITALISM and GREED and they don't give a shI*t about their customers. Period. AVOID THEM FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, This is MY OPINION AND BASED UPON MY EXPERIENCE. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about this matter. read more

The bait and switched us. They offered us a great deal, we moved in, 6 months later they raised the price 25%. We complained, and were told by the regional manager, "If you don't like it, move." They continued to raise the price until we are not paying about double the original rate. They won't work with us. We have to move all our stuff to another company's facility now. A clean and quiet storage facility in Pasadena. I wouldn't say it's an amazing deal or anything (I pay $117 per month for a 5x5 foot unit), but it's also pretty standard to other other units I've used in LA. The gal the front desk is friendly and helpful, and I do like that the units are drive up so you're never lugging your stuff too far or up a flight of stairs. The hours are locked on the Yelp page and I'm guessing they're for the front office, but the facility is actually open from 6 am to 7 pm to get inside the gate and access your unit. To be honest, I wish the gate would stay open a bit later--I use this strictly for work and often want to drop things off after 7 pm, but have to wait until the next day. I don't think they have carts onsite--I have a dolley so it's no bigs, but it would maybe be nice to have access to carts for bigger stuff. The dumpster is always locked so if I end up with empty boxes I always have to take them with me. So, yeah. Not the most convenient place ever, but not the least convenient either. read more

A very clean and convenient facility! Some of the best prices in the area too. Love the addition of accessing the property with the app remote. The app makes billing very easy too. All the info is at your fingertips. Lisa, the service manager, is full of info and very happy to help with any of your requests and questions. When I arrived to check into my new unit, she helped me to arrange an even better unit than the one I reserved. She's so helpful and genuinely happy to do her job. She is one of the many reasons I will continue to use this facility again and again. read more

BEWARE. IF YOU start to rent in Pasadena, you begin with a great rate. My unit started at 239 per month. A year later it went up to 319, and now, this month (yes almost a year later) it has gone up to 439!!!! They can legally do this at any time, if you see in your contract .... they can raise the rent for any reason at any time!!! Go elsewhere for long term rental. Conveniently located close to the 210 freeway, this public storage is great because it is single level and you can literally drive right up to your unit and load/unload. The staff at this office is excellent, Belinda is the main office manager and she is always extremely nice and works with you to find the best unit. She is easy to get a hold of too. There was a person covering for her one day on her day off, and the person working had a question and she was available to talk by phone. Sign up was easy and fast. I also have to give props to Dennis (covering manager), there was an issue with my door going off track and even though he was technically on lunch, he abandoned his lunch to come help with the door and get it back to where it is supposed to. My only complaint is that you have to be out of the gate at 7pm, I wish the hours were just a little more extended, this makes coming on a weekday difficult as I don't get home until after 7. Belinda is a customer service superstar. We just moved here from Seattle. I had a rental truck full of our stuff and a trailer with a car I'm restoring. On a Sunday afternoon we found out that the apartment we were moving into wouldn't be ready on Tuesday like we were promised - in fact it wouldn't be ready until possibly the following week. Yikes. Penske was going to charge me $136/day to keep the truck and trailer past the due date (which was that night). I decided to try and scramble and dump everything in storage. The first storage company I called wouldn't even let me store my car there because it's not registered. I called Public Storage and they sent me to Belinda for the $1 first month's special. When I arrived my son was asleep and I was carrying him (he's a tall 3 1/2 year old). There were people in front of me signing contracts, so Belinda got me a chair to sit in while I held my sleeping son and waited. I was so relieved. It was a stressful day. When it was my turn, Belinda showed me the 10x15 unit I thought I would need. Immediately I knew it would be too small. She told me they had one 10x20 unit but it wasn't eligible for the $1 first month special. I asked to see it anyway. The regular price was high enough that I wouldn't have saved any money renting it vs. paying Penske to keep the rental truck, which already had all of our stuff in it, packed and ready to unload. Plus I was running out of time. By now there was no way I could unpack the truck and get it back to Penske in time to avoid getting charged by Penske for the first extra day. I talked to my wife then went in and told Belinda we would have to pass and why. Instead of just saying goodbye, she offered to call a friend at a nearby Public Storage that she thought had a 10x30 unit that did qualify for the special rate AND she offered to call a friend of hers who worked cheap and could help me unload my truck while my wife took the kids to a hotel. I ended up with the unit and the help I needed thanks to Belinda. I think of her as a friend. Thank you, Belinda. read more

Not a happy camper. Had to wait 45 min (with two people in my car charging by the hour) to get into the office. I was so late that I trusted the on line as that said a 5x10 fits one room of stuff. I did all the paperwork and after I paid I drove back to see it and BS. There is NO WAY it fits one room of stuff. So I went back to the office and rented the next size but They will NOT give me a refund on the first one that was too small. The paperwork is a nightmare. But even though the woman knew I was in a hurry, she took two calls while doing my paperwork -- which delayed us longer. We are all victims of these storage places that charge you a ton for virtually nothing. read more

Day 1. So far so good . Belinda was extremely helpful. And I appreciated her 1st come 1st serve customer service. She did offer this older lady, regular it seemed, a little extra attention But the lady knew Belinda's priorities and insisted on waiting. The facility is what you'd expect from PS. I do miss some features of other PS facilities I've used in the past. This one is one level only and walkways can get dusty. But Belinda has this handled with regular maintenance schedule. And if you get a bigger unit, you won't have this issue as your entrance is a driveway. I highly recommend this location. read more

This Public Storage raises insurance at least twice a year at twice the amount! I don't need their inflated insurance (which I believe all the fees doesn't go for insurance). My entire bill went from 112.00 in Febuary 2017 to $122.00 in June 2017! I'm begining to feel ripped off. In fact I am taking my business elsewhere. I was told the increase was to set off renovation costs. Well, let new customers pay that, not loyal customers! BEWARE OF THE INSURANCE SCHEME!!! read more
