Kids running wild coffee was cold. Staff and management ignored kids running in and out a closed patio area. Each time the kids opened the door we got cold blast of air. Kids parents seemed oblivious to their kids unless they were pounding on the locked door to be let back in. We were told our order would be about 20 min. Well it took 16 min. Just to get straws for our drinks. Posting this review at the 30 min mark and still no sign of our food. We had an enjoyable family meal here! The wife and I split a decent pizza (okay, am originally from NYC, so I am spoiled), which I also enjoyed for lunch the next day, I might add. We also enjoyed a tasty cold salad. The place had a welcomely relaxed, casual vibe that was perfect for just hanging out with the family and occasionally peeking at the hockey and baseball games up on the the TVs. Kids had a blast at this location. Busy even at the late hour and obviously filled with tourists (like us). The service was amazing. Nachos and pizzas were the staple food for the kids and Mrs had pasta. For a vegan, not much choice other than a said with some adjustments which was a bit disappointing for me. I went to this place for lunch, and immediately was struck by how gauche it was. Everything from the outside, the menus, the presentation of the food, and the food itself screamed of carelessness and lifelessness. The building is pretty outdated, I would say that it was last renovated in the 90s by the looks of it, and while no lights were broken or letters missing, it just seemed like a mix of Johnny Rocket and Chuck E. Cheese's. Walking in, it still seemed the same way. The menus certainly looked pretty, but they were excessively large and heavy, and the material had an oily residue that felt like the result of years of being shoved in a musty drawer. The food wasn't bad, per se, it just wasn't close to good either. On top of that, they put down a bent pizza plate with remnants of pizza toppings that were clearly not from the kind of pizza that we ordered. The shrimp was applied too liberally, to the point where the pizza was more or less just a dough pie with cooked shrimp on top, as if the chefs no longer remembered what a pizza should actually look and taste like. All in all, I regret having gone here to eat at all, and likely will never step foot into another Boston Pizza in the next several years. read more

Visited here with my mom, aunt, and uncle. We were greeted and brought to our table by a friendly girl. She was able to put up with my mom's bossiness and stubbornness to get our table. That's the only reason why I'm giving this 2 stars. Our waitress, Cheryl, was a different story. She was cold and snobby-not the typical warm and fuzzy Canadian I've encountered. She didn't even thank us when she gave us our check! I did not get a single smile from her. The food was ok. My uncle got a Thai wrap with no peanut butter sauce. My mom was unimpressed with the nachos because she said the cheese was too dry. My salad was prolly a 3/5. Mushrooms were not exactly roasted and the shrimps looked like they were boiled instead. Could not get the deals found online if calling on the phone for takeout. Ended up ordering online and waited 40 minutes instead of the promised 20. Okay, given that it was Father's day but the waitress said I just ordered - when I walked in 20 minutes after ordering as instructed by the confirmation email... I went here on a Monday evening expecting an easy supper in a nice atmosphere but as soon as we got our drinks, my friends and I all agreed they were very bland. The waitress was hurried when she spoke to us and did not make us feel welcome. I proceeded to ask if I could get the mac and cheese without sausage and bacon (as they have it on the menu) and instead chicken, and they gave me the order with all three of the protein options. What really bothers me is when I corrected the waitress she did not apologize or give it a second glance, she blatantly told me that I ordered what she gave me. After this incident a different waitress brought me the corrected order. The rest of our interactions with her were very cut short. Acting on tips from locals, I drove to three different bars, and was denied at every one. Finally, someone suggested Boston Pizza and it was my last hope. I knew I had arrived when I saw "Urlacher" and "Butkus" sitting at the bar! I cozied up to my team mates and was surrounded by all the Sunday games. The Bears were on the big screen directly in front of me...Heaven! Since I don't drink and drive, I had to order something so I wouldn't feel like a total mooch. Went here on a Friday night in Canmore and sat in the lounge which means we sat down immediately. It was almost full but we still got a spot. Awesome! Our waitress was really great. Attentive, offered some good recommendations, she got everything we ordered accurate and the food came out really quick even though it was busy. We had two cocktails each and each ordered a small pizza. All of it was gulped down and really very good. We had the spicy perogy pizza and the deluxe pizzas. Amazing restaurant! We were seated at our table immediately, no wait time. Just a pro tip: kids menu is 10 and under. I ordered the garlic shrimp spaghetti, the portions sizes are huge! The garlic shrimp spaghetti isn't a dish that is super saucy, so if you want a more saucier and heavier dish, get the alfredo fettuccine. Customer service was great! Our waitress was super nice- her name was Dom. She was super friendly and very helpful selection wise. She respected our restrictions and helped us order some of the best foods. We came in as a group of five, and the service was extremely slow. When the server took our order, she asked if we wanted melted cheese on our pasta. Most of us said yes and enjoyed our meals. When the bill came out, we found that there was an additional $3 charge for melted cheese on the pasta, which we did not realize at the time of ordering. Nothing great here but I didn't get food poisoning either so that was cool.... Let me start by saying that I've eaten (and worked) at BP in Toronto and it was definitely not this bad. The service was slow even though there were not many people at all and the staff were not friendly [read: not unpleasant, but not pleasant either]. The only time the waitress was noticeably happy was when the bill came and she was fishing for a tip. To be fair when we got to the restaurant I was happy to learn that they had a special on pastas because I had wanted pasta to begin with so that was great. 2/3 of us ended up going for the pasta specials. That being said, there is nothing 'special' about crappy pasta. I ordered the garlic shrimp spaghetti and basically what I received was buttered noodles with shrimp; it was pretty bad. I couldn't taste (or see) any of the supposed white wine, garlic, pesto or parmesan that was mentioned in the menu. The red onions and tomatoes were also very few and far between. NOTHING like the picture I'm looking at on the BP website now. If you're going to offer things on special and serve bad food just charge the extra couple dollars and give us food that actually tastes like something....anything. On the bright side there was a good amount of shrimp. Neither of my parents were happy with their food either. All in all, this place is a definite dud; but like I said, no one got food poisoning so I'll give it two stars. read more

The pastas themselves were good, and for $20, they should be good. The "peach and beet salad" was missing beets and they were actually canned peaches. The added chicken was dry and burnt in parts.
