A local nail tech told us to come here for the best Thai food in the area. She said they're usually busy so it may be good to make reservations for a big party. I'd definitely agree! We were able to make a reservation for 9 but I noticed how busy it got during dinner rush because they are a small restaurant and have limited seating. That being said, I noticed a lot of people also ordered take out which is an option! Staff was friendly, restaurant was small but cute. As for the food, the apps were all really good. The papaya salad, fried tofu, and chicken wings were all a hit at our table, can't go wrong with any of them. I must say, the entree portions are LARGE so unless you eat a lot or intentionally want leftovers,I'd share. My pad Thai was enough for 2 meals but I was happy about it because the pad Thai was realllly good! The perfect amount of sauce and great flavor. I'd get it again. I also got the Thai tea which was good! The rest of my family got the Penang curry, pinapple fried rice, Thai fried rice, tom Kha soup, and lemongrass chicken. The pad thai is probably the best I've had! We were craving Thai food and stopped here around 3pm on a Wednesday. It's a casual place, they wern't overly busy and were sat right away. For a starter we had the shrimp salad roll. We did not like the flavor of the sauce so much as has a vinegar flavor with chopped peanuts. The kicker is the menu says "2 pieces" but is really just one regular size roll cut in half for $7, not impressed with that. I ordered the Tom Kha noodle soup with chicken and my guy had the Pad Thai, where he asked for chicken and shrimp but came out with chicken and tofu. The Tom Kha soup lacked the flavors I was looking for and was a bit on the bland side. We had to ask the server for the chili dishes for seasoning and the container she brought out was basically empty, having to scrape the sides. We waited for her to come back around and asked for one with that wasn't empty. We also asked for fresh lime which I was surprised didnt come for my soup, and it made the taste much better. The Pad Thai, which I didn't get a picture of, was a good sized portion and the flavor was perfect in my opinion! I normally don't even like Pad Thai, but here they don't overly sauce it and has a nice smoky flavor. In fact we both said we would come back just for that. Extremely unprofessional and downright rude customer service. We placed a large takeout order over $300 and even tipped $40+ on top of that. When we got home, we realized several dishes were missing rice including curries and laab. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that serves curry with no rice. When we called to politely ask about it, the owner herself responded with: "That's on you. We didn't ask you to tip." Then she immediately hung up on us. To spend that much money, tip generously, and still be treated with such hostility is shocking. If this is how the owner thinks customers should be treated, it speaks volumes about how little they value the people keeping their business alive. Save yourself the money, the disrespect, and the disappointment. There are far better restaurants that will treat you with basic courtesy. read more

We ordered takeout. I immead regretted ordering extra spicy and Thai spicy. IT IS ACTUALLY CRAZY SPICY. BEWARE. Even with my face burning off this was some of the best Thai food I've had. Only complaint would be the lack of veggies in the panang curry. If you want any veggies make sure you say that. Who knew such an authentic Thai spot existed in the Canadian rockies? I was craving good Thai food out here and was worried the food wouldn't be as good. To my surprise, I really did enjoy this spot a lot and would totally come back here next time I'm visiting Canmore/Banff. We came here on a Friday evening close to 730pm. We got the last table that was open before the crazy rush. It's a small size restaurant, so be patient as there's limited staff. It was a busy Friday dinner, but what helped was that we got started with a couple beers to kill at least 30 minutes between when we order and when we got our food. We ordered beef pad thai gluten free and chicken pad kee mao. Also spring rolls to start us off. The gluten free pad Thai was delicious! Wasn't too sweet and has that authentic fish sauce umami behind the background. The portions ARE MASSIVE! My pad kee mao was enough to feed two people. We definitely had tons of leftovers for the next year. The pad kee mao is SPICY. I didn't adjust the spice level so I'm assuming this is the default spice. They don't skimp! I loved the flavors. I wanted more veggies since I'm a veggies person. Service was super friendly and I love how they keep track of who sat first and takes their order in chronological order. Whenever you hear there is a little hole in the wall spot I always feel the need to check it out. This place didn't disappoint. After reading reviews we went before the dinner rush and only had to wait maybe 10 min for a table. There aren't many tables and it's a small little place so you will have to wait. They were very kind and try to sit everyone as fast as they could. People eat and then take off so the wait isn't long. As we were seated they served us water and took our order cause we were ready and knew what we wanted to try. Their TOM KHA Noodle soup was delicious the broth was so different from what we usually have and it hit the spot cause it was chilly outside. We also had their Crispy Wings with a dipping sauce & Papaya Salad and I will warn you( it's Spicy) but so good we asked for a mild version of it but was still spicy. As our main dish we had their Pad SEE-EW with beef and it was great! Very authentic flavors for sure everything we had didn't disappoint. Service was quick and customer service was great. Very hard workers and accommodate you quick and I loved that. Parking can be a bit tricky but you just have to wait for someone to come out of the little shopping center. When you walk in they don't really have a waiting area so they will ask you to wait outside after you out your name in the list and phone number. Craving thai in Banff? This is the place to go! They have lunch specials that come with a salad and spring roll. Perfect portion size after a good hike in the rockies. We tried the pineapple fried rice, thai fried rice, egg plant with basil sauce. All of the food was pretty good. The hot sauce on the side was pretty good but is extremely spicy. My husband and I were on a trip to Canmore/Banff area. I was craving some Asian food and came across this establishment on yelp. This place did not disappoint! I ordered the shrimp pad see ew and my husband got the shrimp pineapple fried rice. They were both DELICIOUS! If you like spice, make sure to ask for some chili oil, it is not readily available on the tables, they have to bring it out for you. There were only two people working the dining hall, but the service was still quick, and they were both very kind. The Massaman Curry (19.95 CAD) was rich with a generous helping of protein. The meal was incredibly filling because they do not skimp on the ingredients. The only downside was that it did not come with the prerequisite rice and I had to add it on for 3.50 CAD. This place is LEGIT!!! It's a small place but don't let that fool you, it's a place you want to visit over and over again. We started with the chicken satay and it had really good flavor. For our main entrees I had the Penang Curry and my wife had the Pad Thai. Both had great flavor and good portions. Usually they ask you about the spice level, they don't hear. Then we ordered and shared the Panang curry which was spicy without being asked to be spicy but we LOVE spicy! Then we had the pad thai which was ok but not overly great. The dishes were extra large and they also brought rice. I had the jasmine hot tea. Julie asked for unsweetened iced tea but they said that they don't serve it. I told them just bring me a glass filled to the brim with ice and I would pour the hot tea into it. The woman then said, good idea! That was peculiar. One of the best Thai places we've eaten in Canada! It even beats Pai. Who thought a place in Canmore, AB can serve some of the best Thai in the country! We were even comparing to our favorite Thai places in the States and Amsterdam. Truly a gem and if we had this on day 1, I know we'd be eating here every night. It all started when my husband saw Chang's beer which is very difficult to find anywhere. So we already knew we are in for something authentic. We ordered papaya salad and Thai red curry. The lovely waitress warned us not to do spice level 5 as it would be too spicy and she wasn't wrong. Spice level 3 was just perfect and she gave a pretty great chilli oil in case level 3 wasn't good enough. The chili oil is very flavorful. They cannot customize the papaya salad, for example remove fish sauce. But it wasn't too fishy which was good. Service is excellent. Not only do they seat you promptly even if they are busy but the food also comes out really fast which is great for hungry hikers like us. The restrooms are clean and the restaurant is simple and elegant with pictures of Thailand as the wallpaper. If we are back in the area, we will certainly come back here! read more

My family arrived to the restaurant just before 7pm and there was a crowd waiting at the door (many of which ended up leaving or trying to order takeout). Online and in-store, they say they will seat people until 7:30pm. We waited for 20 minutes until almost 7:20pm (there was no one we could talk to the whole time) until they finally came out of the back and told us they ran out of vegetables so there would be a limited menu and they might not be able to seat us before 7:30pm. Frankly, this was extremely disappointing after seeing all the good reviews. I don't understand how a restaurant could run out of all vegetables before they close and how there was no system to communicate with any of the people waiting until it was too late. read more

The food was excellent but we weren't able to dine in at the restaurant unfortunately because it was packed on a Sunday night. It was around 8pm and closing at 9pm so could only do take out. We ordered some soup, noodles and a vegetable dish with shrimp. Everything was good but a bit spicy when we told them to do it at a medium level. I would definitely go back there again. read more
