This was the only fully vegetarian spot we found in Banff--though not entirely vegan, as they serve eggs and dairy, most dishes can be made vegan. The host mentioned it could be hard to get a table in the evening, but we decided to try our luck. Even though the place was almost full, we didn't have to wait at all. The staff was incredibly friendly and walked us through all the specials. We ordered the Watermelon Sugar High and the Green Tea Gin and Tonic--both were excellent. For food, we tried the ramen, which was a bit underwhelming, and the wild mushroom ravioli, which was much better. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options and the warm, accommodating service, though the food itself was more on the average side.

Service: amazing Ambiance: casual and cool Food: 1) world famous Nachos: it was ok 2) kimchi burger: no kimchi flavors - patty was hard and tasted more like potato, sweet chili dressing and side of fries were the best part 3) tempura broccoli: it came highly recommended by our waitress but it was essentially broccoli drenched in chickpea flour with too much carom seeds. The final product was very drying and oily. I would skip this place for the above items, maybe something else might be good, but I haven't tried them.

Omelette and potatoes. The potatoes were awesome, the omelette really good despite being meatless.

I'm pretty much a carnivore, so I was skeptical about having brunch here, but it turned out well. Service was good, the outside patio was a great place to eat, and most importantly the food was yummy! I had an omelette with cheese and mushrooms, which was good, but the best part was the potatoes - each cube was slightly crunchy on the outside and melty on the inside.

Came here for cocktails and olives. Love the big green olives, served warm - has pits. The menu no longer had the one I wanted but once I mentioned this to the bartender he said he could make it as they have the old recipes! - Kyoto Sunrise 12/10 best cocktail in town. Anti-everything - 8/10 Gone south - 10/10, was really surprised how much I liked this one too. In the weeds - me 6/10, boyfriend 9/10 wayyy to strong flavor for me but i admit very unique taste.

Busy Skijoring weekend in Banff. The folks couldn't have been more pleasant under the conditions. The ambiance is groove and the food to match.

Lovely place! Enjoyed tasty vegan menu items sitting outside under and umbrella whilst people watching. Staff is super cool!!!!!!! Kimchi vegan burger is dynamite. Vegan poutine was nice. Many vegan options- all are good! MUST GO HERE!

We arrived around 8pm for dinner on June 9th. While most of the staff were friendly, there was one waitress (wearing all black, backwards cap & pigtails, & a gruff voice) who made it very unpleasant for us. I thought she might be playing real life diner dash because she performed drive-by service (asking us and other tables "Is the food good?" While walking fast and we barely had time to answer). When we mentioned to her that the mushroom ravioli was undercooked and pointed out the white hard bit of pasta that hadn't been cooked, she said "I'll see what I can do" and stepped inside for half a second before coming back to our table and saying, "No, nothing I can do sooorrry." It made us question whether she was wanted to create the illusion that she was doing something about it. After that, without even telling us, she stopped serving us and another waiter began to serve us. It was so bizarre. The food itself was OK. We wanted to support a vegan/ vegetarian restaurant but the experience left a bad taste in our mouth.

Half restaurant half bar? Either way, the service was very friendly & the food was good. It's all vegetarian or vegan but there are so many options. The portions were also very generous. I had the kimchi burger & it was very flavorful, which I think mostly comes from all the sauces they have to use. My friend & I shared the poutine & it had a little twist to it.

I came here for a nice birthday lunch and it was such a wonderful meal. The ambiance here is wonderful with all of the unique lighting and fantastic music. We ordered several appetizers including the gyoza, hummus plate and nachos. They were all so good but I really loved the vegan nachos! For my main course I had the ramen salad with tofu and it was wholesome, refreshing and tasty. Even though we all gorged ourselves, we all felt amazing after! Vegan food is always so satisfying and the food at nourish is especially satisfying and leaves you feeling revitalized afterwards. Our server was very kind, down to earth and offered great hiking suggestions. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, whether you're vegan or not!

100% recommend going to this restaurant even if you're not vegan/vegetarian. The vibe was chill and the ambiance was beautiful! The owner was really sweet. The service was fast! Coming to the food part, I would highly recommend getting the Kimchi burger. It was so flavorful and good size burger. Loved every bite of it. The fries that came along with were freshly made. We also ordered the Avocado smash with side of Chickpea omelette. It was really yum too! I had the iced chocolate chai. Again so refreshing and a great drink to pair with burger. Definitely going back next time we visit Banff!

I had the ravioli with them, mushrooms and a lot of decorations, including some strawberries. It was excellent and then I had the house salad, which was maybe even better-- beet and carrot carrot strings and house dressing.

Blown away by how delicious the food was! Our server, Jack, was incredibly friendly and made great recommendations. We got the gyoza, kimchi burger, nourishment bowl, and fruit bowl. Everything was amazing and presented beautifully. It's such a happy feeling when people care about the food they are making. I wish we could have tried more from the menu.

It was also delicious and had little tiny mini salt crystals on it which gave it a lot of flavor. My only slight disappointment was the choice of background music. It had too much of a 12345678 up beat to it. When they play music with this kind of a tempo, you can definitely see all of the waiters and waitresses walking to the beat of the music, but I think it also rushes people in eating and digestion. It makes people hurry up because you could literally see people chewing to the beat of the music I don't even know if the Restaurant realizes the psychology behind the choice of music But overall, I enjoyed everything I came there to eat and everything tasted good for me. I just would've had a different choice to music preference

We were on our honeymoon and ended up dining at Juniper three separate times during our trip. That alone should say something. The food quality, consistency, and service were exceptional every single visit. Our server, Hera, delivered service that genuinely surpassed what we've experienced at multiple Michelin-starred restaurants. Attentive without hovering, warm, knowledgeable, and effortlessly professional, she made each meal feel special and memorable. On a honeymoon, that level of care matters, and she nailed it. The food deserves its own spotlight. The Eggs Benedict is the best we've ever had. Perfectly executed, balanced, rich without being heavy, and clearly made with intention. The Churro French Toast is unforgettable: indulgent, crisp, soft, and expertly seasoned. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, not just "good for a hotel restaurant," but genuinely outstanding by any standard. We came here on a whim to find a nice place to eat as we were on our way to Lake Louise. We walked around town to find a place to eat and my wife loves Italian, so we tried to walk in at about 6pm. Luckily for us, there was an open seat (reservation are highly recommended.. it was packed). We were greeted by the waiter who gave us the choice of sparkling or still water. Fancy schmancy. We got the still house water. The place was packed, full, and a bit loud, but also romantic given the atmosphere and the views. Good place to take a date, but not a good place if you wanted a private booth/moment. I ordered the seafood linguine, and my wife ordered the spicy rigatoni alla vodka. We also ordered the little gem caesar to share, and she also go the coffee martini for her drink. I got soda. The caesar came out and it was one of the best caesars I had. It was presented by having two baby heads of romaine lettuce covered with caesar dressing. Very tasty and creamy. Very very good! Next time, I am going to order one for just myself! Only eating one baby romaine head left me wanting more! After the salad, the pastas came out and the seafood linguine was remarkable! Presented as a bundle of linguini with seafood on the sides, all covered in white wine/clam sauce. One of THE BEST seafood linguines I have ever tried! My wife's spicy rigatoni was spicy and had a kick (I am Thai so take that for what it's worth). My wife thought it was a bit too spicy for her, but overall the dish was meh. Reminds me of the pasta alla vodka at Cheesecake Factory, but without the sausage. I do believe if there was an option to add sausage, the dish would've been 100x better. The dish just got bland the more you ate it. And because of this, I ended up eating the rigatoni, and my wife ate the linguini lol. Just kidding.. kinda. We shared our plates :) I highly recommend this place. The rigatoni was nothing special, but everything else was spectacular. We were even contemplating going back there on our drive home, but it opened at 4pm that day, and that was too late on our schedule to wait. Nevertheless, we'll be back again!

All the different textures and flavors worked really well together and the salad served as a nice break between bites of pizza. The Wheeler Hut pizza has mushrooms, ricotta, truffle oil, pesto, and mozzarella. If you're a fan of truffle flavor you'll enjoy this pizza. As soon as it was brought out I could already smell the truffle. The Mediterranean has olives, feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, red onions, chili flakes, spinach, mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. A little busier than the Wheeler Hut, but it was equally delicious. I'm not sure which pizza I liked more. Both pizzas had a fantastic crust with some char. Substantial enough to stand up to the toppings but still a little doughy for a nice chew. The char gives a nice crunch as well. Service is quick and friendly and the prices are fair, especially in a tourist area. I definitely recommend Bear Street Tavern.
