Food so hot that I was breathing flames like the dragon in The Hobbit Movies. This is a small Thai restaurant in the back of a large indoor shopping mall. All malls are indoors deep in the Canadian Rockies. Our tour group was attending a meeting by a local ammolite specialist, when we passed this place. Hole in the wall place, with tables both inside and outside in the corridor leading to the outside of the mall. Nice décor above the cashier box, with the standard lady mannequin dressed in traditional clothes to greet us. We get a table inside, and order the $16 CAD pad thai with shrimp, and the $19 CAD basil chicken, my favorite at home. Service is so slow that I wonder if the middle aged Asian waitress is also the cook, as she is darting in and out of the kitchen for lengths of time. Takes a good 25 minutes before our meals come, and the place was barely filled with only a few white folks. The pad thai is somewhat bland, with a handful of tasteless shrimp, shredded scrambled egg, over dry chicken, that looked liked it had been thawed and then heated up, combined with peanut crumbs over a bed of noodles and some bean sprouts. Not enough vegetables, and not spicy enough. Looks like all the spicy was somehow displaced from the pad thai and dumped onto the basil chicken. This dish had tons of cabbage, carrots, red peppers, broccoli, onions over a few strips of chicken -usually the chicken is ground up for this dish. Not enough chicken, and instead of red chilis, they had tiny red flakes of chilis. Red hot, I drank the water and the wife's water while panting, with my tongue hanging out! We ate everything but the cabbage, as the red flakes were too hot to eat, and too tiny to separate out of the cabbage. $2.50 for rice, and mandatory 15% gratuity added to the bill, to bring the lunch total to $45 CAD. Another unusual restaurant with 107 tripadvisor reviews and only 18 yelp reviews. Most of their clients are older out of town tourists. 2 stars for the service and 2 stars for the food. So why three stars? 4 stars for ambiance. I've had many a meal ruined by crying babies. On entering the place, we heard a crying baby at the table outside. Prominent sign says "no stroller inside please", with the silhouette of a stroller, within a circle and diagonal slash. My kind of place!

This family-owned restaurant is my hidden gem in Banff - Especially if you are craving something other than the usual steak, veggies and pasta. You'd miss it if you are only looking from the road (main restaurant is indoors but also have a patio). Recommendations: -Shrimp salad rolls (the mint and dipping sauce are to die for) -The soups 100%, they have kick -Korean wings -This maybe a thai restaurant but do not leave without ordering these! Best thing I had and now will be a staple anytime I visit

This is NOT See Ew. Really not.

The chef may have to know better the dishes he makes. That is not See Ew, and too salty.

    Thai tea

I've been eating at this restaurant for a long time. Strongly recommended Thai Fried Rice with the peanut sauce. If you come during the winter time, they have the best bubble tea in town. Staffs always nice and tips are included in the bill

Food: 7/10 Service: 5/10 Value: 7/10 Ambience: 6/10 Took a while to find this place, which located inside a shopping building. Food tooks a while to prepare and definitely not even close to being authentic, ingredients-wise. Taste-wise, it's not overly sweet like 90% of Thai restaurant in North America, so that's a plus. Price was not too terrible. The portion and taste made up for it.

My friend and I did take out here. It took about 20 minutes for them to prepare and we did some shopping while we waited. Park in the back. There are steps there that take you downstairs and the restaurant is right there. The spicy coconut soup was delicious! I got a peanut dish which was quite delicious. My friend got the pad Thai dish. It was good but a little on the drier side. We would go there again.

Had pho here. Pho was mediocre -- soup slightly too salty, and the beef was too dry and tough.

We went to Thailand twice each year, but the taste here is really delicious. Ordered pad tai and sliced beef and coconut rice. Sooooo good!

You'll need to walk downstairs to get in. It's an order-at-the-counter spot, and they bring the food to your table. They offer a variety of noodle dishes ranging from Thai and Japanese to Malaysian. I ordered the Thai tom yum noodle soup, and my husband got the beef soup. If you're looking for authentic Thai tom yum, this isn't it--it's more like tom yum broth with noodles added, which is different from traditional tom yum noodle soup. That said, it was still good enough for me. My husband thought the beef soup was just okay. The staff was nice and friendly. Overall, it's a solid and convenient stop, but not a must-visit for me.

Very friendly, very cozy, and food came out almost immediately since it was a late lunch time. Service was spot on. They have a good choice of food. Not the usual big serving, it was enough for one person and I like that it was not very salty and just enough seasoning/spice. The Ube croquetas was a good surprise, the Ube itself was almost tasteless but combined with the breaded coating made it hard to put down. The takoyaki was pleasantly good, came out immediately after it was cooked. I recommend that as well. A very good place to enjoy warm soup and what looked like a family owned business. Check them out!

For a starter we had the shrimp salad roll. We did not like the flavor of the sauce so much as has a vinegar flavor with chopped peanuts. The kicker is the menu says "2 pieces" but is really just one regular size roll cut in half for $7, not impressed with that. I ordered the Tom Kha noodle soup with chicken and my guy had the Pad Thai, where he asked for chicken and shrimp but came out with chicken and tofu. The Tom Kha soup lacked the flavors I was looking for and was a bit on the bland side. We had to ask the server for the chili dishes for seasoning and the container she brought out was basically empty, having to scrape the sides. We waited for her to come back around and asked for one with that wasn't empty. We also asked for fresh lime which I was surprised didnt come for my soup, and it made the taste much better. The Pad Thai, which I didn't get a picture of, was a good sized portion and the flavor was perfect in my opinion! I normally don't even like Pad Thai, but here they don't overly sauce it and has a nice smoky flavor. In fact we both said we would come back just for that. All in all this place has decent food, minus the salad rolls, the portions are enough and the service is ok. I would say give it a try.

When we got home, we realized several dishes were missing rice including curries and laab. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that serves curry with no rice. When we called to politely ask about it, the owner herself responded with: "That's on you. We didn't ask you to tip." Then she immediately hung up on us. To spend that much money, tip generously, and still be treated with such hostility is shocking. If this is how the owner thinks customers should be treated, it speaks volumes about how little they value the people keeping their business alive. Save yourself the money, the disrespect, and the disappointment. There are far better restaurants that will treat you with basic courtesy.
