Ginger beef, steamed rice, thick noodles with beef

Absolutely amazing. Wish I had photos of the rest of the food we ordered: pan fried potstickers were incredible. Fried spring roll (shrimp and pork I believe) was awesome! Got the ginger beef combo & the thick noodles which were so so good! I get tummy aches very easily but this place was the first place that I didn't get one Happy we came here

We were touring my dad around Banff Village and after the Bow River falls view point, we were starving. It was hard to miss Silver Dragon because it has such a prime location right after the bridge. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that it isn't a tourist trap and they truly serve delicious and authentic Chinese food in Banff Village. My dad and I love Peking Duck so we got 1/2 duck to share. We loved it and it brought me back to our trip to Beijing where we had Peking Duck. We also ordered their special fried rice and lemon chicken. Service was prompt and friendly. Restaurant was full but didn't feel rushed. Ambiance is your typical Chinese resto with private rooms. Now we know where to go when we're in Banff and craving Chinese food.

    Crisp flavor super satisfying!

Bottom line: I'd bring my Chinese relatives here to eat! Service was prompt, few servers were Cantonese so I assume food can be classified more HK/Canton than Sichuan like it said. Went with the dinner for two option since I wasn't sure what I was getting into and was very very pleasantly surprised! Went with hot & sour soup, ginger beef, and the other three standard items. Taste was good, nice wok chi and not too salty. If I went back, I'd venture into their actual Chinese dishes. PRO TIP: ask for their chili oil ... Tastes homemade and yum! Ordered a Canadian brand cider and it was super refreshing and NO HEADACHE (I get headaches even after one from some brands)

Came in craving some Chinese food on our Banff trip and pleasantly surprised with authentic, delicious food and outstanding service. Just a short stroll from downtown Banff. Food we ordered: * Tofu soup - light and flavorful, with small pieces of shrimp * String beans - flavorful and seasoned very well without being too oily * Braised pork - tender, cooked perfectly and this isn't always to do, though a bit salty * Sizzling beef hot plate - prepared at table side, tender and flavorful beef with a sweet hint Excellent, prompt, and attentive service, which honestly is standout for an Asian restaurant (coming from a native Asian). The restaurant was decorated well and also has an inside bar. There is 2 hour free parking at the restaurant. They do ask that you record your license plate number at check-in so they can keep track of the cars in their lot because of how close it is to downtown Banff. Can certainly walk from downtown or drive if you have rented a car.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Right at the base of a mountain. Came here after a long hike in Banff and craving some authentic Chinese food. The owner gave us so many recommendations, which were all delicious!

I didn't expect to find an authentic Chinese restaurant in Banff, but there it was! The owner was really nice and personable - helped our family host 2 nights of 20 & 30 people reunions respectively. One night was a banquet meal - most of the food was authentic and cooked really well. The second night was regular ordering and also very good. The restaurant feels pretty clean and has a high ceiling and modern architectural details.

    Chicken with black bean sauce

I'm really wanted to give this place a 3 stars but opted to give them 4 stars at the end. Business is hard now days for some local owners. We got two items to go and asked for two extra forks on top of the two chopsticks they gave but was told by the woman that she would have to charge extra. What a turn off really. I have never had a business that wanted to charge extra for two extra forks. Honestly just lame and incredibly cheap. We ordered the chicken and black bean sauce and the beef chow fun and honestly both items were pretty delicious. I was surprised by this given we were in a touristy town. When we were there waiting for our take out, there were a big group of Chinese people. So that really tells you that their food is pretty legit. Based on our quick take out experience, not sure if the workers were all that friendly. Overall, I say come if you crave for chinese food in the area.

This place has a welcoming ambiance, with a great view of the mountains. The service was quick and courteous. We ordered from the set dinner combo menu which found to be a reasonably good value for money considering the quantity provided. The food isn't amazing but decent. All in all I would recommend this restaurant if you are craving Chinese food on your visit to Banff.

Delicious food served fast by enthusiastic, attentive, helpful staff, in a nice setting. Ginger beef was amazing and perfectly crunchy. BBQ duck had great flavor especially with the orange sauce. We tried 3 flavors of the ice cream for dessert and they were all delicious.

Two dinners for one (ginger beef and fried chicken balls) with dumplings appetizer.

I would give 6 stars if I could! Absolutely amazing food and service! Everything we tried was simply done to perfection. Highly recommend the ginger beef and fried chicken balls.

Chicken with veggies. I asked for them to make it with black bean sauce.

I ordered the Thai tom yum noodle soup, and my husband got the beef soup. If you're looking for authentic Thai tom yum, this isn't it--it's more like tom yum broth with noodles added, which is different from traditional tom yum noodle soup. That said, it was still good enough for me. My husband thought the beef soup was just okay. The staff was nice and friendly. Overall, it's a solid and convenient stop, but not a must-visit for me.

Very friendly, very cozy, and food came out almost immediately since it was a late lunch time. Service was spot on. They have a good choice of food. Not the usual big serving, it was enough for one person and I like that it was not very salty and just enough seasoning/spice. The Ube croquetas was a good surprise, the Ube itself was almost tasteless but combined with the breaded coating made it hard to put down. The takoyaki was pleasantly good, came out immediately after it was cooked. I recommend that as well. A very good place to enjoy warm soup and what looked like a family owned business. The place was pretty busy when we arrived for dinner. Things we tried: - Agedashi Tofu: fried tofu with a warm dashi. It was light and the dashi had nice flavor. (3.5/5 stars) - Karaage Chicken: the chicken was tender and well-seasoned. (3.5/5 stars) - Edamame: the edamame arrived at the end of our meal which was odd. It was also not cooked well and tasted like it could have been frozen and then warmed up. Disappointing. (1/5 stars) - Shoku Roll: the roll was pretty good with the salmon on top and negitoro inside. I wish they used less of the sauce and mayo on top or put it on the side instead, because it was a lot and was overpowering the fish. (4/5 stars) - Salmon Oyako Bowl: I liked the raw salmon and salmon roe part, however the cooked salmon was overcooked. The bowl also lacked flavor and required soy sauce, though I wish there was a different sauce to add to it. (4/5 stars) Overall for the food, it's okay. I'm from California so we have better food so I'm trying not to be too critical knowing it's in Banff. It's nice to have an izakaya spot in downtown Banff though. Service: mixed. The waiter was nice, however they seemed under-staffed. He had too many tables so service was slow and we struggled with flagging him down when we needed a refill or the check.
