The name was catchy I've never been so I decided to take my little sister there and get our nails done. 2/23/19 They greeted us and explained prices, offered drinks like all that was good but who ever did my nails didn't do a very good job. First off she was going back and forth between my nails and doing a lady's feet I even had to ask her wash her hands before working on my nails which she did. And I liked how she did my nails ( At first) I even told her that but when I left I really examined my nails and I'm VERY disappointed like she fooled me lol I spent $100 including a tip in total for me and my sister nails and I wish I could get a refund. I had wonderful service here. They give you so much attention you feel spoiled. They offer you a drink when you arrive. I had 2 nail technicians working on me . I got a shellac manicure for 26 dollars and a pedicure for 25 bucks. They ask you questions and seem to want to get to k ie you. They also waxed my lips and my chin. I felt for the services I got they were fairly reasonable. I will be back and get a regular manicure and pedicure next time.I also live the name and location . The color I could not use because it was mushy. They no longer wax the chain. Massage chairs were wonderful and it was very soothing doing the pedicure. I will be back. Mmmm not going here again. I got a GEL MANICURE and they charged me $54 for a GEL MANICURE and my design was a simple French tip. It was not $54 worth. A dip manicure is $54! Gel is like $35. Also the lady doing my nails was kinda rude to me when I was struggling to endure the UV light curing. My nails are sensitive so it burned a little and she was telling me they will peel off if not cured properly. Ummm I already know this. I've gotten my nails done several times so I know the drill. Had to get gel because I was assuming it'd be less expensive and I was low on $$ and wanted my nails to look pretty for my birthday. Stop overcharging people! It's not cute! I love these place and the people that work there!! Everyone is so genuinely friendly and want you to leave happy with your nails. Paul introduced me to SNS dip powder and after years of doing acrylics I'm hooked. I showed them a Pinterest photo and they made my nails look just like the pic! They even stayed 30min after closing to make sure that everything was perfect and they were so nice about it! They also have movies playing and you can see them no matter where you're sitting. So, I was in the area and decided to give them a try. My first impression wasn't the best. Two ladies were working when I went in. Idk, we just did not gel really. But no sweat I guess. I wasn't rushed picking a color for my dip which was nice. I think because they were a bit busy. But I did like that. Lucky for me PAUL walked in. He did not strike me as the typical person I see working at a nail salon. I think I even remember thinking that. This guy is really going to do my nails.... That had me a little worried. What I will say is he did the absolute best job on my nails ever. They looked absolutely amazing and perfect. The nails were perfectly even and shaped wonderfully. I don't do extensions so he works with my natural nails, which can make it difficult to avoid a chunky/flat looking finish, but my nails always look natural when I leave. Update: The owner called me after reading my review and asked me to come back for a refund. He removed the polish and then refunded the money. He was very polite and apologized for the bad experience. ********** I called ahead to ask if I could walk-in for a shellac mani and the man on the phone said it was okay. I arrived and was rushed to pick a color by the nail technician (she never told me her name). I sat down and she was very rude and seemed in a rush. She was extremely rough during the entire manicure. At one point she clawed my palms with her nails when she shoved my hands into the water. She did a terrible job. I have polish under my nails and the entire manicure took about 15 minutes. The massage was 30 seconds on each hand. I had a watch on and instead of asking me to take it off she massaged my hand and called it a day. read more

I was visiting for an event a couple weeks ago and needed to get a full set. I wanted ombré nails with rhinestones. The girl took 2 hrs to do them and they were still very messy. I don't remember her name. They were cute if were standing 3 ft away. Just a sloppy job! And 3 broke off so easily within 2 days of having them. And a stone popped off. I paid over $100 including my pedicure. They charged me for the length which wasn't even that long. I live in California and not one nail place I've been to does that! This is partially in response to a very rude REBECCA R's yelp review As one of only TWO customers who were there til the end of this entire tantrum that she threw I want to clear up a lot of the situation. This woman was clearly very hard to please to begin with by the remarks she was making. Her attitude towards the establishment already seemed sour by the fact that the old nail place she had expected to be there wasn't and was changed to Boss Nails. She started loudly complaining about all the things wrong with her visit when the tech who was working with her had to step away for a moment to check on another patron and her husband. Mind you, there wasn't a lot of staff there at the moment bc they were already about 45 mins to closing! So yes, a little juggling had to be done but insTead of being kind and patient she begins to loudly belittle the nail technician upon her return to her saying things like "ya know it would have been nice to know you were leaving me; a little communication would have been nice ugh, etc etc." Then another customer (the only other one besides myself and this woman) and her bf start having a PRIVATE conversation about yelp. They were explaining to Sammi how it worked and how to look through reviews and how to see the newest ones posted, etc. Rebecca's comment about them being "loud" is ridiculous. They were very close to her and myself and were speaking at a normal volume. Perhaps it seemed "loud" considering again no one was in there! Also, Sammi nor anyone there did anything wrong by asking for them to leave a good yelp review. Places do it ALL. THE. TIME! My car place even hands out pamphlets on how to give them good reviews. It's NORMAL for a business to ask a customer to leave a good review if they are happy with their service! As the couple and Sammi continue to have their conversation, Rebecca butts into it saying how she's an "Elite Yelper" and "all her yelps are put first bc her reviews are important" since she yelp reviews all the time. She then starts stating everything wrong with her time at Boss Nails. The other customer starts to get upset that Rebecca has inserted herself into their conversation and is making everyone uncomfortable and asks her to stop talking. We were all there for a relaxing nail experience after all. Sammi tries to apologize but she isn't listening. Rebecca wants to act like the attitudes of the employees changed dramatically once they found out she was a yelp reviewer and that is not correct. They changed bc everyone was trying to get her to calm down. However things escalate between the two customers and the girl nearest me is having none of Rebecca's sour attitude. Sammi gets up and LEAVES HER customer to go attend this woman!!! Sammi tries to apologize and explain there may have been some communication barriers or a misunderstanding but that she is very sorry. Rebecca is having none of it. She continues to go on and on about her "awful experience" and she and the other customer continue to fight. Finally things settle and everyone is clearly no longer having a splendid time. Once Rebeccas services are done she gets up to pay and starts yelling AGAIN at the other customer. What Rebecca lacks to say is that she actually CUSSED at the other customer, calling her a "a rude disrespectful little b*tch." She was the only one using profanity and as a grown woman I would have expected more from Her than to cuss at a young woman like that. I had had enough at the point she started cussing and told her to leave if she was going to use profanity bc it would not be tolerated in the establishment. Sammi was clearly shocked and upset she had cussed at the other customer out of the blue and apologized to her bc it was rude!! If I was Sammi I would have done the same thing! Rebecca hears Sammi say sorry to the girl and starts going off on how she "Never" got an apology when Sammi literally stood there for longer than needed apologizing to her. Rebecca goes on an on in her review that had she been a "hipster" or whatever that she would have been treated better. False, had she been a nicer person she would have been treated better but even then she wasn't treated bad at all. She ended up getting the most attention out of everyone for her rude behavior. Although she claims to have had such a bad experience she's actually the one who ruined the experience for two other customers. Two PAYING customers who were trying to get their nails done and have a relaxing experience! Now on the good: i have been with Sammi and Paul for over 4-5 years. I always leave pleased and happy!!:) they will take the time to listen to what you want and try to get you just that. Sammi is incredible with nail art too! There is nothing she can't do!! I will continue to be customers of Sammi and Paul no matter where they go bc they have me for life. Thanks to them for their many years of wonderful service!!! read more

Today was my very first time in Boss nails. Walked into a very organize, clean salon. To the right they had a big selection of polishes, that was not blocked by chairs like other places I've been to. Checked in by using their tablet and got seated a few minutes later after picking the color I wanted. I was offered a drink, I accepted a glass of red wine. The lady that was doing my nails seemed nice but wasn't really great at communicating with me. Instead of asking me to move my hand a certain way, she kept on nudging me where she was wanted me to place them. But besides that, I felt like she was in a rush. She didn't even soak my hands to push back the cuticles.... Which I find kinda odd... she just jumped right to it! What actually made me realize that she was in a rush is when she completely forgot to place acrylic on ONE finger nail. She noticed when she was about to file down that finger. I got a full set, coffin with regular polish for a total for $45. Pant job could've been a bit better. As soon as she was done, she got up, quickly grabbed my stuff to move me to the "drying station" So she can move on to the next person. There was no fan to help speed up the process. This is the worst nail salon I have EVER been to. The nail tech had no idea how to even put nails at all. I showed how long I wanted my first acrylic nail and the she proceeds to make all of them much shorter. When I asked her to take them off and put longer ones she got such an attitude about it then after she filed I asked her to even them out then she started yelling at me in front of the entire salon that I had asked her to take them off because they were too short so I went home with uneven nails. I scheduled an appointment for this nail salon based on the good reviews on Yelp. I went in the next day and was told to sign in and then sat down to discuss the nails I wanted done and prices. The amount of money they charge for nail art is out-of-this-world ridiculous! I wanted a shellac manicure with a simple holiday design including plain gold glitter on 2 nails, ombré glitter for 2 nails, and a simple plaid design for 4 nails. The cost of this was $85!!! I have never paid more than $45-50 for a design that simple and $60 max for complicated nail art! This is not even a high end salon. It's new but very basic. The atmosphere is very similar to your average nail salon. The nail artist's nail art is also average compared to many places I have been to in the past. I immediately left the salon in shock and never, ever plan to go back!!! Take my advice and don't go here. For simple nail salons, there are many other options with better prices! read more

Made an appointment with sammi and she was 15 min late to starting my nails then she ran around asking if any other guest wanted anything to drink or a cookie before even starting with me so its about 30 min late at this point. Then she started to soak my nails and when it came to taking them off she had someone else do it because she was scared of hurting me. I agree that comes from a good place but what nail technician doesn't know how to do the basics... on top of that this place nickle and dimes you like crazy!! Charged $10 for tip(which I've never heard of anyone ever charging for) then $10 for shape. And $10 for trimming my cuticles and that's all on top of 40 for nails. So DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOURE LOOKING TO SPEND $70 ON BASIC NAILS. On top of all that the shape wasn't even done well. My nails are not the length or shape I asked for!. And for some icing on the cake sammi the nail technician i has was HORRIBLY RUDE to a sweet little old man who was getting his first pedicure ever! She had the worst attitude ever just because he didn't know how everything worked and needed a little help when he started. I like the job they did originally but I feel like I was lied to. I was told these would last until the nail grew out but it didn't even last three weeks before it started separating from my nail and my hair got stuck in them. When I voiced my concerns on social media where the nail artist was following me (on her page) and I was immediately blocked. My concerns have not been addressed instead they were ignored. Also know where does it say it on the website but they do not allow children.
