Enjoyed all their authentic sandwiches and other items they serve. Good choices of rice dishes,…read morenoodles, spring rolls. They have all the choices of sandwiches made from what you would expect: Bbq pork, chicken, pate, sardines, tofu...call ahead and pick it up. Good ratio of meat to veggie and there's options to add extra veggie/meat if you'd like at a cost. I will say the portion size runs slightly smaller but it was perfect for me! Meat was very tender #20 bbq pork with egg roll: huge portions, though a good amount of it was noodle, tender and flavorful meat. The highlight is definitely the fried egg roll! I'm usually not a fan of egg rolls because I don't love things that're super fried but somehow the egg rolls were perfectly fried without being too overwhelming, and the stuffing had some nice spice flavor. Paired well with meat and noodles! Coffee: I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I had a few sips of their Vietnamese coffee and it was yummy! Not too sweet, not too strong. Service: extremely efficient especially with everything made to order. Our banh mi was out in less than three minutes! #20 took a bit longer but that's because they make everything to order. Still less than 10 minutes for it to cook. Seems to be a small mom and pop shop. Person taking our order Joseph was super sweet! Offered for us to call and order next time to go and didn't rush for us to pay at all. Keep in mind it's cash preferred but they have Venmo and zelle too. No credit cards accepted here. Ambiance: more of a grab and go place. They did have one table and a few chairs and we sat down to eat but I'd recommend getting to go and going out for a picnic. Price: good price point! Our food was $28 total. Will absolutely be back!

I've been here twice. First time I got a leg of lamb and more recently some double cut pork chops…read more I'm sure they are helpful if you ask questions but they were pretty busy both times I came in and it felt like you needed to know what you wanted for the most part. For the leg of lamb, I think most people get a whole leg of lamb. That was way too much for me and I think the butcher thought I was confused when I asked for less and asked me what I was doing with it. He ended up saying he could give me a half leg of lamb and I agreed. Thar was about 3 and a half pounds (bone included) which was the perfect amount. I seared it and then braised it and the meat fell off the bone. Delicious and the price was pretty good. I was cooking my first pork chop and decided to come here to get it. Their pork isn't labeled as Berkshire or Duroc or anything but that probably keeps the price down. For chops, they had boneless, bone in, and double cut (which was also bone in). I mentioned I wanted it to be about 2 inches thick and the butcher said to get the double cut.I got 2 beautiful thick pork chops for $6.99 a pound so about $18 total. The regular cut bone in pork chops were the same price though obviously smaller. I brined this overnight and reverse seared it and it was great. The chop was a loin chop- loin and then a tenderloin nugget- not a pure rib chop. Cooked really nicely and was tender which I think was partially the overnight brine and also their pork. They do sell some vegetables and grocery supplies if you want to just make a single stop. They also have a deli with some sandwiches that looked good and prepared foods. I was very focused on buying the things I came in for and getting on with my day both times but I would like to take a closer look in the future as it looked good. Solid butcher shop and clearly loved since it was busy both on a weekend and during the week. I'm sure I will be back.

Omg the sandwiches here are so big and filling. I got the Super Atomic with some avo and pickles on…read morethe side. The avo made the sandwich taste so much better for that buttery bite. This was shared between two people for lunch and it was just the perfect amount. There were a couple people in line but it went by really fast! I think it only took like 5-10 min to get your order in and out. The workers here work really fast. It's a really small sandwich shop but they have lots of parking nearby so it's really convenient. I definitely would come back here for the sandwiches! So yummy :3

It seems there is always a claim to a certain sandwich shop is the best in SF on my social media …read more When it comes to sandwiches it depends how the sandwich is being served and also depends if it's cold or hot. San Francisco deli sandwiches is a dish which is served mostly cold with cold cuts. There is a place in West Portal which has been serving submarine sandwiches for decades in the city and it was serving toasted sandwiches since the year Quiznos was founded and it's called the Submarine Station. On a West Portal stroll I landed on Ulloa. Inside is a deli which is just a place to wait in line to order and wait for the sandwich . I enjoyed seeing San Francisco sports teams like San Francisco 49ers during their championship glory days displayed on walls along with great SF Giants memories. The walls reminded me of a sports and cards memorabilia store .In front of me on the higher part of the wall was a classic menu which has all good sandwiches.I got cheese steak sandwich which came out hot and it was tasty and not too salty like some I seen on my social media feed. It was cheesy with a good portion of meat. I also ordered the meatball submarine which saucy and cheesy and it was delicious. The bread turned a little flakey and crusty like some in SF when I took it home. I have been going to Submarine Station for decades and it is consistently good solid to grab a sandwich in the city. They say everyday in SF is "Halloween" grab a sandwich "submarine" you can add cheese and also add the lettuce and pickles which are "green " a good San Francisco classic gourmet submarine in the SF sandwich "scene" Come to a sandwich place you can see the cheese and the meat get cut by the "slice "and the sandwiches in SF are at the right "price "and if you want my sandwich "advice"I will recommend the Atomic a San Francisco classic combination like Joe Montana and "Jerry Rice"

This is probably the only place where the sandwiches don't taste like the store's essence…read more I mean, don't get me wrong, a store's essence from any given deli/liquor store definitely adds unique character to the sandwich and sometimes I want that in a sandwich. But when you want a sandwich that only tastes like its ingredients, Irving Subs is the spot. Their Dutch crunch is famous for being fresh and actually crunchy. Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. You're not getting skimped, but you're also not biting into a mouthful of a packet of deli meat. They definitely know what they are doing. Service is good and ambiance is a small humble shop on the corner of 12th Ave.

Double pastrami, horseradish, havarti, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and pepperoncini. A lot going on, and it all came together. The horseradish and havarti gave it enough personality to stand apart from a standard pastrami sandwich, and the garlicky mayo tied everything together. The one casualty of DoorDash was sogginess by the time it arrived. That's not a knock on the sandwich, it's just the reality of ordering something like this for delivery. At $14.50 it's a hearty sandwich at a fair price. I'd recommend it, but eat in.

This space was formerly known as the Four Seasons Market. It's located in West Portal on West Portal Avenue in San Francisco and it's called Spanglers Market. On a Winter Stroll at West Portal on a Winters Day in January I finally walked inside Spanglers Market. Inside you will find ice cream by the pint and frozen pies. I had to try their sandwiches. I ordered the roast beef sandwich at the deli in the back and it was a bargain for San Francisco standards at $12. The roast beef was fresh and the dutch crunch was soft and overall it was delicious. This place is a must visit if you are looking for the fresh meats for that BBQ or for that Super Bowl party.
