Before you read anything else: Just go! It's a fabulous Thai/Sushi restaurant. The food is amazing. I keep going back because the food is great and the location is relatively convenient for me. I've had the Pad Thai, the Cashew Chicken, and other Thai dishes. We've tasted the Thai Donuts which are gorgeous in their presentation and so delicious. The decor is modern and hip and often you can see who we think is the owner watching over the service (which is hit or miss). I hope this place gets the traffic to make it work. I was in Miami with my parents last week, but this was no vacation. My dad had a recurrence of throat cancer, and so we were at the University of Miami Hospital for his surgery and then a week of recovery. The surgery involved 3 procedures over 12 hours. The rest of the week was spent staying with him during the day while he recovered. Each night my mother and I stumbled, bleary-eyed, back to our hotel and grabbed whatever was convenient for dinner. By Sunday night, we were ready for - no, needed - something else. Something more. We needed a night out for a nice meal and cocktails. She requested sushi. I found Bonding right here on Yelp, and off we went. First, the interior is lovely. We walked in and immediately a lot of the stress was washed away. Your staff is very welcoming, and the decor chic and hip, but also warm and inviting. The flowers. Good God, the flowers. Beautiful. We shared the Brickellpolitan roll and instantly fell in love. For dinner, Mom had the Orange Duck and I had the Osaka Lamb Steak. Everything was perfect. It was just what we needed after the week we had had. Needless to say, we will be back. Tucked away next to the brickle city center is a Thai gem of a restaurant. We had the tuna pizza. The spicy salmon roll, the pad thai, and massama curry. I came here because of the reviews mainly... I loved the ambiance of this place -- the music, the lighting, the fact that it was crowded but not a long wait time. I also really liked the appetizers, drinks, and the presentation. However the sushi isn't great... The flavor combination is just odd: I guess it's a hit or miss and for me it wasn't great. One more thing, the service: the moment we were done w our meal someone picked up the plates and then someone else came and cleaned the 2 tables we were using -- this was completely necessary and I felt like it invaded my space; the table wasn't that dirty to begin with and we had to lift all of our drinks and the center piece (I thought that was a bit too much). Then, after handing our cards, the server took a long time (~15 mins) to bring them back which was odd as well. The menu is small, so if you're picky, check in advance -- this is not the large Pan-Asian menu we are accustomed to seeing in Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Red curry with chicken is often (but not always) excellent. Flavors are very good, portion is large, and "spicy" really does mean spicy. The red curry has a great amount of vegetables, which are well well cooked. The chicken was well cooked when we ordered today. However, on a some previous occasions, we've found the texture of the chicken "off" and a bit rubbery. I've previously ordered the pad thai (quite a few times), which tastes best spicy. All the same, it is at best ordinary. Today, I departed from my typical order and instead had the thai basil chicken, spicy. This was substantially better than the pad thai, which had been my previous go-to order. A good amount of vegetables, and here, too, "spicy" really does mean spicy. My wife reports that the sticky rice with mango is very similar to the sticky rice with mango she would eat when abroad in Thailand (albeit, Bonding's was more bland). We were in the area and decided to try this Thai/Sushi place in Brickell. This place is located where the old Tobacco Road use to be, for the those that have been in Miami before 2000. The staff is friendly and the service is good. We had the Bag of Gold (stuffed golden fried shrimp dumplings), Seafood Clear Noodle (lobster, shrimp, scallop and calamari served with rice noodles), Spice Tuna Roll, Volcano Chicken (fried chicken marinated in sweet Thai chili sauce). I was surprised that the food was average in taste and that the Seafood Clear Noodle, with comes with a lot of Seafood, was not as good as it could have been, due that the dish was over saturated with Soy Sauce. For what we paid for, I could go to other places nearby, that have way much better Thai/Sushi. It is unfortunate, I have only been impressed with a couple restaurants in Brickell to eat at. read more

This place is just great overall. The ambiance is fun, classy and hip. We were immediately greeted by the owner, a funky and fun young man who seemed very interested in making our experience a great one. We started off with Passion Fruit sake, it was delicious and addicting, we ended up with a small bottle and ended up wanting a lot more, so we got a large bottle. For apps, we had the garlic edamame, which was flavored generously and perfectly. We also shared a tuna tataki, which is one of my favortie plates in Asian cuisine. I probably could've ordered two more of these and just had it as my main meal. The tuna was fresh and the seaweed salad was refreshing. I had the Dancing Spider Roll, which has slices of tuna on top. I ordered it specifically because the tune tataki was so fresh, I just wanted more and more. I had a taste of my friend's Massaman Curry, delicious!! I almost wish I had ordered that one... I'm not even a huge fan of curry but it was very tasty and light. For dessert, we had the thai donuts and Ice cream tempura. I've had better donuts but they weren't bad and wasn't a huge fan of the ice cream either. Next time I'll try the sticky rice with mango. Overall, great, fun ambiance and fresh asian food. The decor is cute. The owner is always there and a character. The food is on point. What's not to love. It is pricey but that's what happens when you live in Miami and especially in one of the more pricey spots of Miami. My favorite dishes have to be the lobster roll and the seafood salad... The lobster roll is fried goodness covered and spicy mayo all in one role. If I could I would eat this every day and be a happy camper. The seafood salad is also amazing... Don't think it is healthy though. It is an arrangement of fried seafood on a bed of spinach, if I remember correctly. Yeah, it is definitely not healthy but so worth it. There pineapple fried rice is also delicious and worth trying come here with a group of people, the rolls are big enough to share and it is a very fun environment. I tend to come here for girls night out, we always have a great time. There is hardly any street parking in this area but they do have a parking lot located in the back. To make things easier though I would just walk here if you live in the area or take an Uber. read more

Meh, this place is okay. I saw it had good reviews so my friends and I gave it a try. The place itself is nice and my favorite part of the evening was the lychee sake. Our appetizer, bag of gold, my dish, drunken noodle, and my friend's dish, pad see ew, were okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't amazing either. The service was not very good. The place was fairly empty but we often had to flag down our server (who was very nice) to get service. Another thing that I didn't like was they brought each dish out one by one. The tempura ice cream was good but the spoons were very small (think espresso spoons) so we ended up grabbing silverware off of the neighboring table. The end question is "Would I come back?" and the answer is maybe. I wouldn't actively avoid this place but I would try somewhere else first. read more

I LOVE BONDING! I just moved to the area and this has quickly became my favorite place to eat. The service is awesome, they refill your water almost every ten minutes. The ambiance and decor is fabulous. Even the owner is fabulous, you can't miss him and his sensational hair. The sushi and thai are amazing. Get ready for a unique experience! Best Thai in the area; hands down. I have been to Bonding several times both for dinner and lunch. The food has been consistently good and the service wonderful. For lunch, the prices are hard to beat. The food is great and if you like your Thai food spicy, you can tell them and they don't hold back. It does get crowded during dinner hours because of the small area but, it is always worth the wait. I have ordered about 5 different menu items so far from their menu plus their sushi and all have tasted great and different. Gladly, it is not one of those places where all the dishes taste the same. I would definitely recommend Bonding to anyone in the area who is looking for some good Thai.
