Absolutely amazing! Greeted by the wonderful host/cashier Gladys who took the time to let me know a little bit about the menu. The menu features your choice of legs, bone in or bone out wings, chicken tenders, and sides! You pick what your heart desires and add a side two or three. Sides range from french fries, corn, mac & cheese, and many other options! If you're feeling like you deserve a special treat at the end or before you eat ...please note the selection of desserts, yum yum good! Getting back to the chicken there are three flavors to choose from and those are soy and garlic, spicy, and hot! There's no dry rub so get ready for the wet sauce and to lick your fingers! While you wait on your food if you're thirsty feel free to grab a non-alcoholic beverage or a beer on tap or in a bottle. Sit at a high top or low top table .. this place is good for groups or just by yourself. John and Gladys provided the most amazing customer service. This establishment is squeaky clean from the restrooms to the outside to the inside to the table tops you can just come right in and sit down and enjoy a nice chicken meal. The one thing that I can say most of ... is that I am a huge of bone in! So if you love bone in....order the drumsticks and the bone in wings! There's a thick coat around the bone out and chicken tenders so just be sure to keep that in mind. The corn is great and the mac could be served with more cheese so it's a little more yummy. When it comes to eating here you have your choice of eating with chopsticks or utensils that are featured in the brand for the forks spoons and knives. Tons of selection when it comes to Ice-T's sweet and unsweet and your favorite ice cold fountain drinks with that crushed ice. When you sit down to eat you'll notice that there's a nice selection of music that's playing for your entertainment. So come hungry leave full, and don't forget to take care of the waitress and possibly get some togo. Parking out front is free so just be careful as the parking can be a little bit tight. Time to get real. This is not Bonchon chicken. I'm an OG Bonchon fan. Over the last few years I've probably eaten at eight locations in three states. At least 30 times total. Like the website advertises... the crunch seems impossible... the flavors amazing. It is an addicting wondrous thing. This location doesn't serve that chicken. This was my second visit after giving up on this place after my first. My first visit here was the first bad Bonchon order I've ever had. My second visit here was the second. Recent reviews suggest this location has improved... that was not my experience. They're just not doing it right. Pull up the Bonchon website. Take a look at the wings and note the crags of crisp shattering coating. The crags give it the crunch, and they also provide the surface area where the sauce clings... delivering that powerhouse flavor punch. It's usually still crunchy the next morning coming out of the fridge. Not here. Both visits I received smooth wings with no crags. Basically gummy-skinned BWW wings. It wasn't crunchy five minutes after pickup. The crunch isn't there at all. The Colonel has more crunch. Read the other reviewers about the weak flavors. What's happening is this place can't master the frying technique. Maybe their temps are too low, they aren't double frying or coating properly.. who knows. But they aren't getting the crags. No crags means no crunch. No crags means no surface area for sauce to cling to... the sauce just kinda runs off the smooth wings. The result is a soggy flabby wing with zero of the Bonchon crunch and flavor. That's the complaint here.. it's like a bad impression of real Bonchon chicken. My hunch is they're just undercooking to get orders out fast. That doesn't work. Korean fried chicken is about technique that can't be rushed. It has to be loved and maybe their staff just isn't capable. (Edit: looking at pictures from other reviewers suggests that this location is capable of getting it right, so it appears this may simply be major consistency problems). The crunch and flavor of real Bonchon chicken is unmistakable and addictive. They don't do that here. This location is a stain on the brand where they just can't be bothered to get it right. Avoid this location at all costs and try the one in the Colony. read more

Oh dear. I don't know what happened to Bonchon. I first tried Bonchon about five years ago when they had a location on Greenville Avenue in Dallas. The chicken was tender and seasoned perfectly. I ordered 8 pieces of the boneless wings (half soy garlic, half plain), japchae, and Korean street corn. I kid you not, the boneless wings were like the popcorn chicken from KFC but at the price of over $10... The soy garlic was very salty. The japchae noodles were hard and a bit chewy. So definitely pass on those. If you are looking for good Korean fried chicken, Bonchon is not even close to the mark. read more

I ordered to go, three orders of the 12 Pc boneless chicken. Seeing some of the reviews, totally agree about the complete lack of flavor. The chicken was twice fried, which probably would have been good if they actually put on the soy garlic. But there was barely any, which made it taste like I was eating rocks. This store is nothing like the one in NYC, or even the one up north in The Colony. I really liked the location in Addison since I live close to there, but going to BBQ Olive chicken for my soy garlic chicken moving forward... Unfortunately the address on the map is wrong so it took me more than an hour to get the food(the first driver gave up after not finding the location) The food came cold, i was expecting that and is not Bonchon's fault. Bonchon's soy garlic wings were highly recommended by my daughter after working as a travel nurse in New York at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. We visited my son in Dallas and found the same restaurant here. I've got to say I'm in love with Bonchon's soy garlic wings and Parmesan garlic fries. First of all, the flavors really come through for the wings & the street corn. The pickled radish is actually quite good. However, the quality of the food tasted cheap. It tastes more like fast food than restaurant quality. It was also packaged poorly. Four wings were actually on the paper & 2 wings were hidden under the paper. Was the chicken sandwich good? Yes. Would I recommend this place to a friend? No. The biggest issue with this location is the wait time during lunch. There were very few customers and the wait time was excessive. If I knew I was going to waste 30 minutes, I would have just gone to BWW. I can't imagine what it's like when it's busy. The people that came before me started to get upset (and rightfully so). People that ordered online were also waiting. I had plenty of time but immediately regretted my decision to come here. I always saw this place when I was heading to Jimmy Johns and I should have just gone to Jimmy Johns again. No apologies to any of the customers after the food finally came out so maybe this is the norm. $14 for good chicken sandwich + a boring side of pickled radish + a drink is excessive. Even with inflation, that price doesn't pass the smell test for what you are getting in this Addison area. The sandwich was very good so they definitely have a solid foundation if they ever decide to make necessary changes to this establishment. The pickled radish was weak. I like pickled foods and radish and it was a weak side. Maybe give customer more options for sides outside of this and coleslaw. Also, I didn't see any lunch specials listed. Maybe there are specials but it definitely wasn't clear for a first time customer (and the employees didn't want to put in the extra effort to make it known). Overall, disappointing experience. I hate giving 2 star reviews but this did not deserve a 3rd star. And I don't think I've ever given a 2 star review for a place where the main part of the meal was tasty, but here we are. Came here for a Yelp invite. I got the soy garlic flavor (for the yelp event I revieced a wing, a bonless chicken, a chicken strip, and a large drumstick). Chicken was a little on the dry side, but great flavor. For the side it was a coleslaw. For dessert it was a coconut mochi. The coconut mochi was good, should've actually ate that before I took it to go as it melted on the way home. Over all a little on the pricey side, but great service. the only plus is that the fried chicken is crunchy.... everything else was not worth. We got their corn cheese, soy garlic chicken bowl and half spicy/half soy garlic wings. The corn cheese was very greasy and barely had any cheese. The bowl was not flavorful and did not have enough chicken. It wasn't "korean inspired" at all... no kimchi, gochuchang or any distinctly asian flavors, mostly mushrooms and lettuce. The wings were crunchy but could have used more sauce and more gochuchang in the spicy flavoring. It also took longer than expected, given the quality of the food. Today was my first visit to Bonchon but let me tell you it will not be my last. This place is great! Everyone was super friendly and helpful.
