I want to start off by saying that the staff here is extremely helpful, funny, friendly and courteous. I've been to some KFC's (Korean fried chicken) places where I felt like I was a bother to the staff but not here! I felt extremely welcomed and both the manager and lady working the cash register were inviting and gave really good recs on what I should order based off my palate. Service here was extremely fast as well, I think I waited a total of 5 to 6 minutes for my food. When I went back up to purchase sauces for my fries they just gave them to me without purchasing, which I thought was just so sweet of them! I Love it when staff care like that. It's always the little actions that make a difference for me. NOW TO THE FOOD. I wish I could have recorded the crunch sound when I took a bite of the chicken leg. It tasted SO GOOD and CRUNCHY yet the meat was perfectly cooked and juicy and not dried out. I choose to get the soy garlic flavor (I usually get spicy so this was completely 180 for me) I genuinely enjoyed the flavor of it. There's no kick to it and the sauce is slightly on the sweeter side but since I got the Spicy Mayo sauce it was the perfect balance. I also ordered the Mac n Kimcheese and HOLY MOLY SO FREAKIN GOOD. I could honestly eat that all day EVERYDAY! It wasn't spicy at all but still SUPER flavorful. The seasoned fries were also perfect however slightly on the colder side but still smacked! Y'all I had been dreaming of a repeat of the delicious wings that I first tried at Bonchon. Unfortunately, I was woefully disappointed. Now, the cashier was as nice as could be, truly pleasant. I ordered 6 pc wings half original and half soy garlic. The soy garlic were fine. But the original didn't have any seasoning on it-not even salt. So imagine, plain double fried wings and there you have it. The mozzarella corn dog was good but I really had my heart set on some yummy (at least) salted original wings. Been here once before and sampled a variety of different things on the menu. It's fast casual so you order at the counter and they bring you the food. Got the 20 wings for $20 special for their 20th anniversary. Not sure how long it lasts but it started on 9/12/22. Normally it's $28 for the same order. Half soy garlic and half spicy. It's Korean fried chicken so double fried so it's pretty crispy. The first bite into the spicy wings I thought it was pretty spicy but then I got better. Half and half was a good choice. Bob chon literally DOES NOT MISS.. They cook their chicken to excellency and the sauce on it is mouth watering.. They are right by my office and I have to convince myself some days not to go there for lunch every single day (because it's obviously fried).. I always get the spicy chicken with ranch and the flavor is some of the best I've had for a "fast food" place. Curiosity got the best of me, and I am glad it did. I was craving some wings and heading to a wing restaurant, and I remembered seeing this place offered Korean wings, so I stopped by. I ordered 5 drumsticks ($9.99) and a side of seasoned fries ($3.49). I chose the soy garlic and the spicy sauces. Both were delicious. The spicy one WAS spicy, but very flavorful. The drumsticks were huge and the fries came in a good portion. I was full with 3 pieces, but kept eating because they were that tasty. Came in for take today. There were 2 people at the front counter. One was waiting on a couple while the other seemed to be doing nothing. After the young lady finished with the couple, I waited for them or at least 1 to invite me up. That never happened. Instead, they both entertained each other. So the young man goes behind the register, stares me down, and never says anything. Our go to korean fried chicken spot! We always get the 20 piece wings in spicy flavor and it's more than enough for my bf and myself. I love that the spicy flavor is actually spicy for people like us who enjoy the burn :p One thing that I love about bonchon compared to some of the other KFC places is the texture of their glazed wings. I really like the harder crunch of the glazed batter on their wings compared to some of the more "soft" crispy texture a lot of other places have. I feel like this retains the texture of the wings better than other places where the wet seasoning will make the wings super soggy really fast. That's really what it comes down to for me that makes bonchon my go to KFC spot. Special shoutout to Tyler who always makes sure we get our order out fast and accurately! read more

First time going to bonchon in years, but this experience was pretty good. Restaurant is super nice and clean, good location along with a bunch of other places on belt line in Addison. Friendly attentive staff. Down to the food, we got to sample a bone in wing, boneless wing, tender, and drum stick. I also got a side of seasoned fries and a vanilla chocolate chip mochi. I'll say my favorite was the bone in wing. The fries were really well cooked and the mochi was tasty! My least favorite is the boneless wing, that might be a personal preference since I don't like that anywhere. I got the soy garlic flavor and it was solid. Its not quite the other Korean wings that have popped up locally but it's worth getting if you are in the area and want some wings! read more

Love it! I was so sad it went away from Dallas so I was thrilled when I heard it was back! The batter is crispy and the chicken is tender! I did a to-go order of soy garlic and spicy wings. Both were delicious, although I would lean toward the spicy one more (the soy was a tad bit salty). I definitely need to go back and try the other menu items soon! YES. You need to try this place. You owe it to yourself. This spot is packing some serious flavor and great customer service; all in a comfortable, small little corner of a shopping center in Addison. I had their wings, half spicy, half soy sauce flavor. Along with these tasty little flappers came some pickled daikon radish, and I also ordered a side of Mac and Kimcheese. First of all, the chicken is VERY crispy; which I believe is suppose to be part of their thing. Well done. They weren't overcooked, just juicy and attractively crispy to the bite. The flavors were also amazing, I could not even pick my favorite if I had to lol... but let me tell you, with that pickled daikon radish... LORD HAVE MERCY! It pairs insanely well. The Mac and Kimcheese, again, very well executed. It was just creamy enough to enjoy with the bits of crispy pieces they top it with. The kimchee is subtle and not overpowering, so don't be afraid of it. It's DELICIOUS! While enjoying my meal I was also visited at my table by Carlos, who I believe is the manager of this place, and he took the experience from good to great. He asked how my meal was, chatted a bit, then went about his way to check on the restaurant. I ended up taking some food home as well, and when I tell you that the chicken was still crispy like right out of the fryer, man... I really want some now. Today's experience was good. The wings are double fried. I like the crunchy aspect but they're almost too Well done. I think this takes away from the juiciness of the wings and gives more of a dry taste. The flavor of both ( sweet chili and spicy were good but I almost couldn't differentiate between the two. The spicy wasn't as spicy today. The street corn was good too experience but it was flavorless and the corn quality didn't seem fresh. I had the veggie dumplings. Everything has changed with new management. Chewy fatty chicken, stale rice and flat drinks. I was not allowed to mix sauces anymore or have extra on the side, even if I paid. Was excited to try this new location in Dallas since I'm from Bean town and it's pretty good where I'm at. The setting and decor looks pretty nice and settled. Small and not as big as the one in east coast. We got the half spicy and half garlic combinations and it came out pretty quick. Was really disappointed that's it's not spicy and flavorful as expected . Not even a kick of spice or garlic soy flavor. Maybe it's still new so might have to give them some time to improve on it. I tried the chicken strips and regular fries. The food tastes great but it doesn't hold heat well. A 5 minute drive home and I had to reheat the food. Was so excited to go to the new Addison location after moving to Dallas from Manhattan! But ugh, it was so disappointing! Firstly, the fries tasted good but were essentially a kids-sized portion! Next, the fried chicken. It was nice and crispy, but left an oily aftertaste. We also found the spicy to be too spicy. The main disappointment was the bulgogi fried rice. It missed on all elements! There were maybe 3 pieces of meat in the dish, which didn't taste seasoned at all. The rice tasted oily and there was a layer of oil in the bottom of the dish. The rice was not crispy at all. It was also in one of those small round containers, which would be a perfectly sized portion for one person... only problem is it's almost $13 for a small bowl of rice and 3 pieces of meat, just a rip off! Nothing worse than an overpriced meal that doesn't even taste good! The restaurant was clean but had an odd smell... hopefully that's just paint or something that will go away after the restaurant is open for awhile. read more

Great taste, good service. Unfortunately, this past week was a huge let down. They used to serve ample fried chicken drumsticks. 4 wings, 2 drumstick was my usual order. They gave me what looked like 6 wings for $12 and change. I asked the worker that I thought I ordered drumsticks. He said their new supplier gave them the smaller size and they are looking into a new supplier. In knowing that information, it should have been fair warning. There was no discount for the size difference. I would have ordered something else if the workers were transparent about the change. By a mile, my favorite fried chicken in DFW. Like, it's not even close. When Bonchon first hit Dallas years ago, I loved it - maybe too often. When they closed the location nearest to me, I was crushed. Recently, I found out they have a store in Addison, and I've been back WAY more than I should. Both chicken options are amazing. Flavors and crunch abound! The kimchi, pickled daikon, season fries, and coleslaw are all perfect sides to match that chicken. I'll be back for the rest, and can very highly recommend this restaurant wherever yiu find it. EDIT: I am allergic to sesame, and that means most of the Korean food I eat is something I've made at home. No chin has a lot of wonderful food I can eat without worrying, and the staff was super-helpful in telling me what was safe. read more

Can I just say "mic drop" and call it a day? It was extra crunchy the way Korean wings are supposed to be. Perfect amount of sauce and the texture of the sauce was on point. Love bonchon and this is the chicken you've loved growing up, however every experience I've had at this location has managed to be worst that the previous.. my family loves this chicken and is high requested by the entire family when I do our weekly carry out night but the headache is not worth the time money or disappointment we face when it take sooo long or when Someone didn't get their part of the order etc. Stick with tacos pizzas or the bucket guys .. %60 of the time they it get right every time. read more
