Excellent burrito bowls. I like that you can order on the kiosk and build your own bowl or burrito.

This place is not easy to find, I found this place simply by walking along the sidewalk and looking down and reading the door. After doing my research I found that this place is open mainly for lunch and dinner. This particular place is located in a sublevel location that you walk down stairs to get to. Once I got there they had a menu of options, they have options of different regions of the world that you can create your burrito. I chose the Bangkok Thai burrito with white meat chicken; my friend got "The Summer" burrito with chicken that included pineapple in it. My Thai burrito included white rice, sweetened or pickled chopped celery with chicken and peanut sauce. I have never had a burrito quite like this and it was a delightful meal. The sweetness from the peanut sauce and the celery was delicious, just to make sure it had some healthiness to it I have it all wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. The size come in mini, small and original; it's about a 2 inch difference between them all. They also make smoothies as well; I chose to have a regular drink. i did like the fact that they had one of those Coca-Cola drink dispensers that had the touch screen and you can chose from like 30 different flavors; always love seeing those around. It seems that Boloco is an East Coast eatery; on the west coast where I am from we have Chipotle which is a similar establishment only they don't have any special sauces or unique flavors; just simple fresh veggies, meat and legumes. I have no doubt that if this place came to the other side of the country it would do very well. I may have to eat here one more time before I leave. read more

The delivery system here is terrible! I am a Dartmouth student so I often order food from local restaurants. Bolocos delivery times and consistency is by far the worst. A friend of mine placed an order about 10 minutes after me and he got his order (which was also 20 minutes after the 45 minute delivery window) while I am still waiting for mine and its now a good 2 hours after I placed my order! 4 nights or so ago my order arrived late and was leaking out of the container. My advice to Dartmouth students is that if you want your food on time, avoid Boloco!! read more

My family & I were at Dartmouth for Alumni weekend & we were looking for something delish & quick; we totally found it here! It reminded me of a Qdoba or Chipotle. There were many choices of toppings for your burrito, salad or burrito bowl. The service was nice, quick & very helpful as it was our first time at the restaurant. This is the best restaurant in the area for a quick bite to eat. The food all tastes of high quality, and there is a lot of variety in an easy to comprehend menu. They serve mainly burritos, but you can also get salads, soups, and smoothies. It's a great place to go before a movie, as you can easily hide a burrito in a pocket or under a coat as you walk into the movie theater. There sizes are quite good considering the very low price of eating at Boloco. All in all, it is a great restaurant that should be visited frequently. read more

I frequently go to Boloco's to get dinner, and I get it delivered even more often. The burritos are wonderful, the restaurant is kept clean, and they make the burritos in a very timely manner. Deliveries are often early, and they always make up for mistakes with free burritos or other menu items. read more

Eh, the burritos here are pretty average, EXCEPT for the buffalo, which can be amazing, as long as you don't bite into it and get a) a bite of all rice, or b) a bite of all blue cheese - it would be much improved if they were to mix up the sauce even a little bit. This place is maddeningly inconsistent. I've had pretty good burritos and I've had burritos like the last 2 times where is basically a wrap with rice and a few chunks of chicken. Total bummer because when they're good, they've been my go to for a quick bite for lunch. And the chips and guac are very good, better than Chipotle. I like my guacamole chunky and they do it right. But come on Boloco, really need to step up your game. Surprised there isn't a Chipotle in town. read more

The food is decent, and the staff is friendly, but the lack of communication and disorganization among the staff is ridiculous. It shouldn't take 15 minutes to order 4 burritos. One of my friends asked to add sour cream to her burrito and the cashier said "We don't have sour cream". She pointed to it on the menu and he still didn't understand. She finally gave up and decided to forgo it. We all ordered together and for some reason they served 1 burrito separate from the others, and kept telling us it was for a different order. We had to tell the staff at least 4 times that we ordered 4 burritos and showed them the receipt confirming the order. Finally they gave us the last burrito. We get to the table and come to find out 2 out of the 4 burritos were made incorrectly. One burrito, oddly enough, was made with sour cream, but go figure it was on my burrito and not my friend's that requested it. The food was ok, nothing to write home about, but certainly not poor quality by any means. It just wasn't anything special in my opinion. Half way through our meal the cashier that took our order came over and asked it we all got our food. I was too frustrated and hungry to say anything, but thought it was really strange because we tried to involve him in the discussion when the other staff kept telling us we only ordered 3 burritos and he completely ignored us. We ordered off the menu, and with the exception of my one friend that wanted to add sour cream non of us were difficult or confusing, or made any special requests. (I've worked in the service industry for 18 years and I make an effort to be very concise and easy, especially when dining/ordering food). Not to mention, we showed up at 3:15 on a Saturday after noon and there were only 3 other customers in the place. If it had been really busy I could sympathize with the disorganization. And the icing on the cake, they charged my card twice. How you charge an order 2 times when you only swiped my card once is beyond me. Not a great first impression, but even if it had been a great experience, the food is not enough to get me to come back. Sorry Boloco. read more

I always get the bowls, which are just fine. The black beans are always too salty, the fajita veggies are soggy and the broccoli is too crunchy. However, I always come here for the guacamole and chips, which are amazing. I doubt the guac is fresh, but it has real avocado chunks and red onion that makes it taste like it was home made recently. If you're hoping for Chipotle you'll be disappointed. Boloco really isn't Tex-Mex, and their only real burrito option (The Classic) isn't very good, but if you're looking for hot wraps, not burritos, you'll probably really like Boloco. If you're hungry, opt for the bigger size, because their regulars have gotten pretty small lately. Also, I really didn't like the breakfast burrito I had there once, but it was the egg and cheese, so maybe their fancier ones are better. read more

I have been here many times and mostly it is good. But I would say that around 20 precent of the time my order has been messed up. In the past month when I unwrapped my burrito all of the food inside fell apart. Another time the cheese was almost frozen. It was cold and 3/4 of burrito was chesse. Also I came and the rice was stale. I have always really liked boloco but this might be the last straw. Next time my burrito is bad I might never come here again. I cant afford to spend this type of money just to throw my lunch away. I suggest that you spend more time to make sure you make the burrito is good. Boloco is a great place if your looking to grab a quick snack. The staff are pretty friendly, and the food is okay. They sell a bunch of different kind of smoothies and milkshakes which are really good! One of them is called the Nutella milkshake which never fails to impress me. I do like this place, but agree with other reviews that say something falls short. If your looking for a restaurant to sit at, and have better quality food, this is definitely not the place. However, if you are looking for a cheap, quick, grab and go sort of deal, Boloco is perfect! Overall, I like this place. read more

it's okay, but it's definitely not mexican food. there's definitely better options for eating out in town.
