EDIT (PLEASE READ): Since I wrote this review, I received an extremely kind response from Boloco's regional manager, who apologized for my past experiences. He sent me a gift card and hopes I come back in the future. I will now be ordering out from here tonight. Well done Boloco! Original review is below, before I heard from the manager. I'm writing this review in hopes that the management will see it and help bring Boloco back into my heart. I used to go here a lot, and the food was always great. But recently things haven't been as good, and they'll appear in the "Negatives" section of my review. Let's go! Positives: Boloco offers everything you need to make a great burrito. They have all the right meats and sides to make your burrito what you want. In addition, there is a new electronic ordering system at the front of the restaurant (no one has mentioned this, so look people!). For those who complained about STAFF: read this! Boloco added two touchscreen monitors at the front of the restaurant that let you order without waiting in line. It can be much faster and let's you pick what you want versus having to stutter and restart with the guy at the counter. They also give you plenty of specials to pick from, and many of which I like a lot. The Memphis BBQ and Chipole Burritos are my favorite. Negatives: Here's where Boloco lost two, yes TWO stars! (they have since gained them back). And they both have to do with something very simple: overcooking and under cooking ingredients. The second to last time I was there, I ordered a Summer burrito with steak. The steak was very overdone and was virtually unedible. I thought that it was just a fluke, because I had enjoyed this place so much in the past. So, I went back. Ordered the Chipole burrito, hoping for the best. And, to my shock, the rice was as close to raw as you can get. Seriously?! I wanted so desperately for Boloco to prove to me that it could still pull off the awesome food that brought me back, but after the last two visits I'm not sure. I really find nothing else wrong with this place (minus the Mexican burrito which is tasteless, but that's besides the point). In fact, I love eating here, and I want to go back. If you guys at Boloco can prove to me you've got what it takes, I'll boost this rating back up to four, where it should be! (You guys did it! Well done!) read more

Boloco has recently changed there whole brand. Now I think it is ten times better! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good lunch, snack, dinner or just a friendly conversation. I will say that they get very busy between the times of 12:00 and 2:00 and that during those time you should order ahead or be ready to wait in line for 10-15 minutes. read more

I was very excited to see Boloco come to Hanover. I usually go to the one in Boston's Financial district. Regardless of the location, the food is always great. I find the burritos to be "lighter" then Baja Fresh or Anna's. I would recommend Boloco over any other burrito/Mexican place. read more

They come so close to delivering something good, but every item I've had here just falls short. Case in point is the buffalo chicken burrito - every time I've had it, there is SO MUCH blue cheese that it totally over powers everything else in the burrito. I think of the owner were to make a few small tweaks to their food, they could double their business, but for now, it's definitely falling short. read more

Boloco is decidedly the black sheep of the Chipolte-Qdoba-Anna's Taqueria family. And oh how I wish little Hanover NH had any of the above. Please? The big challenge with Boloco is the consistency of its product. Go in one day and your server will roll you a fat, delicious burrito or wrap that is hard to argue with. Go in twice after that, and you'll wonder if you've set foot in a different establishment: skimpy protein servings, less tasty filling, and presto, a sad, skinny burrito that looks like it jogged off the set of The Biggest Loser. Their second challenge is price. Let's face it. Boloco charges a premium--almost $10--for a burrito, if you add in extras like guac. That same $10 would easily buy you about 30% more burrito at any of the above franchises. Or, here in Hanover, there are plenty of sit-down, table service lunch *meals* to be had for under $10. Boloco could get its act together. It has such promise but delivers the wrap of your dreams only when it feels like it. But given it's really the only game in town for wraps, and no competitors are pushing it to be better, it will probably continue to serve up mediocre creations in its own private, highly lucrative bubble. read more

Maybe I'm a bit biased on giving this place a great review due to being on the Appalachian Trail the past two weeks and having nothing but trail mix and dehydrated meals to eat, but this place was delicious! It was a bit difficult to find as a previous reviewer suggested, due to it being subterranean, but it has a great atmosphere! Got the summer and Thai burritos, with a peanut butter/Nutella shake and strawbana smoothie, and chips and guacamole on the side. The people were very friendly and helpful, open to my personalizing the burrito and shake. Plenty of seating inside and outlets all around, including on some bench seats. Loved it here! read more

I used to love Boloco so much that I counted down the days until I could have it again. We don't have one of these in NYC, which is a travesty, so I only get Boloco on my trips to Hanover or Boston. I don't know if it was that I built it up in my mind so much, or if the quality has just declined in the year or so in which I last had it, but when I walked into Boloco this past weekend and ordered my go-to (The Summer burrito with steak, and a Soy Berry Smoothie), something was not right. They were out of plain wraps (let's be honest here--getting a whole wheat wrap on my burrito is not going to make it any healthier, and if I'm going to eat a burrito I'd rather go all out), the smoothie took forever to make and they were out of guacamole. By the time I sat down with my burrito, ravenous, my high expectations were somewhat lowered, but I still forged on. And then came the disappointment; The burrito was not great. The mango salsa was cold, and the steak was hot, but everything else was lukewarm leading to a weird mixture of temperatures. The whole wheat wrap was stiff and grainy and the construction of the wrap itself was shoddy. Too bad, I guess I won't be dreaming about Boloco anymore. read more

Actually had the pleasure to eat here after dropping my son off at Hockey Camp. I put away three of those small Burritos and it was so good, that I ended up having one if the big ones. The good was amazing and I highly recommend this place. read more

This is probably one of the worst restaurants in hanover. I have ordered from here many times and they have gotten it wrong every time. The driver is very unsafe and has almost hit my friend. One order the burrito came with a metal piece inside it about twice the size of a staple. The restaurant pays no attention to detail and lacks any quality control. If you're craving Mexican food, Boloco is a good, quick place to get a burrito. There are other options as well such as soups and salads. When I went up to Hanover to visit my boyfriend, I was hoping that there would be a Chipotle. Although it didn't taste quite like Chipotle's burritos, their burritos were just as filling. I am surprised by some of the negative reviews here. Boloco is not supposed to be a traditional Mexican restaurant. Compare it to Moe's, Chipotle, or Willy's. I would take Boloco over those three any day. No comparison. The quality of the meats coupled with the variation of bases and vegetables (quinoa, kale, etc) make this one of my favorite places to eat in Hanover. The pork carnitas is amazing. Value, taste, and convenience blend well here. The cashiers somehow remember my name which adds an extra level of satisfaction. Great place. read more

Bolocco gets the job done. As a devoted Chipotle fan, I have to admit the Bolocco burritos are not as great as theirs although they are good. My primary complaint with Bolocco is that the food is ALWAYS cold. It's very hard to appreciate the food this way. Please crank up the temperature of your food, Bolocco! I do enjoy the Bolocco experience, the touch screen customizable menu and the very speedy service, even at busy times. Haven't tried the shakes but have heard great things. read more

Good place for a healthy lunch at good prices. I originally thought it was a Mexican restaurant, but it actually has lots of variety on the menu. I had a nice Mediterranean salad and the rest of our party had all the different "bowls". No complaints from anyone. read more

Boloco is not authentic Mexican food. However, it has some nice wraps and burritos that taste good (if you think they are bland, ask for hot sauce), excellent quality meat (+tofu), a variety of healthy options, and great smoothies and healthy drink choices (like Honest Tea). Fast, quick service. A lifesaver for college students (probably reduces obesity rate among Dartmouth students just be being an alternative to EBAs, the neighborhood late-night pizza place). Underground "dive" location is very clean and pretty inside, a sense of humor in marketing and menus keeps going back once a week for four years bearable. If you care more about what is in your food than it tasting the absolute best possible, then go to boloco. read more

Boloco is a nice place to get a quick, filling wrap made to your taste in either "mini", "small", or "original" size. While the wrap filling options are creative, I find that they still taste a bit boring unless I add a decent amount of Tabasco (provided at the restaurant). Their smoothies, however, are delicious and the Nutella snack wrap is definitely my favorite menu item. In addition, Boloco has many special promotions throughout the year for those that have the Boloco card and are on the email list making it a favorite quick lunch spot for our lab. read more

First, the entrance is very annoying. It's small/cramped and down a narrow and perilous flight of steps that the door awkwardly opens from - not a good first impression. Although I realize there probably isn't much that the restaurant can do about that, since they're underneath the building. On to the food - which is ok but not great. The portions are SMALL. Be forewarned of the way the burritos are named - an 'original' size is actually quite small. I'm also surprised at the slowness, it shouldn't take as long as it does to make a burrito. This is one of the few 'fast-food' take-out type places in Hanover, but it's not actually fast. The interior is nicely decorated, I've sat down to eat there and it's not bad. A little awkward if you're sitting in one of the booths next to where the line forms and then you have hungry people in line looming over you as you eat. Amazing food and service. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. The town of Hanover doesn't have much variety but this was such a wonderful treat! I ordered a thai chicken bowl and a smoothie and both were very fresh and delicious. Hadn't noticed it before because it's a little hard to find but worth it! The food is good. I love that tofu is available. However , the price is high and portions are small as compared to Moe's and Chipotle. I love the new computerized Coke machine with countless options. I don't believe that it was working today. The soda appeared to lack seltzer. read more

Friends of mine call Hanover home. After every trip they make to New Hampshire, I hear about how amazing Boloco (& Morano Gelato) are. I was so very lucky to be apart of the most frequent trip and got to, not once, but THREE times frequent this amazing establishment. I sample the Summer with Mango and the Buffalo, both full of fresh flavor and filling for dinner, lunch and a late night snack! Boloco original name was "The Wrap", and that's apt, because they serve wraps, not burritos! Almost any other Americanized Mexican chain you can think of -- Chipotle, Qdoba, Anna's -- is more "Mexican" than Boloco. I remember going to a Boloco in Boston five years back, and it was pretty good. I'm not sure what's happened, but the quality has massively deteriorated. Like another reviewer said, there's nothing particularly _wrong_ with the food (except that the tofu sometimes tastes weird). There's just something missing. read more

This place gets 2.5 stars from me. It is one of the chipotle clones that seems to have popped up everywhere. At least it has a bit of a unique menu and some different flavours. For a quick lunch in Hanover it has become my go-to spot - lots of vegetarian selections, relatively cheap for the area and decent portions (if you don't get the regular size which is way too little). My biggest complaint is that every burrito seems to lack flavour. There is virtually no spicing at all (even when burritos such as the yucatan are advertised as spicy) and most run towards bland flavours. read more

I love Boloco. Their food is tasty, affordable, diverse enough to eat a couple days in a row without getting sick of it, and good quality. In the few cases where their food did not meet my expectations (I came in at an odd hour and the rice was dried out), they gave me a gift card and apologized copiously. Members of their staff generally seem to have a good sense of humor, service is quick, and the shakes are absolutely delicious.
