Stopped here for dinner while visiting family in NH. WOW. The service was fantastic. Jada was our server and she was so kind and accommodating to our group. The food was amazing as well. We visited on Valentine's Day so not only was the space decorated and the staff dressed up but all of the women in the restaurant were gifted red roses and chocolate covered strawberries -- so classy. There was also live music, a country singer playing guitar who was so fun. The experience at Poor House was 10/10, thank you!

Awesome meal, fantastic service and meats were tender and juicy! We really have been back several times and never disappointed!

When my friend suggested BBQ in New Hampshire, I wasn't especially convinced. However, I will say, this place was better than I expected! The space is pretty big and open, so it can accommodate plenty of people. I enjoyed chatting with the staff, especially one individual who brought over a bunch of BBQ sauces for us to try. If you're a party of two, I recommend splitting one of the combos. We got the Three Meat Combo, which was just the right size. The meats were pretty solid, especially slathered in sauce, with the ribs being my favorite. The sides hit the spot, too. Look no further if you're trying to get your meat fix!

A hidden gem in a small town in NH. The barbecue is the best I have found in the area and is worth the drive into the country.

What used to be a sketchy area is now filled with boutique shops, bustling businesses of tech and industry, arts, culture, and restaurants. One such upscale craft cocktail bar is Wolf Tree. If you didn't know it, you might feel as if you'd stepped into a hipster cocktail lounge in Brooklyn as you walk into Wolf Tree. They offer a variety of playful and inventive drinks. My friend was able to get a virgin cocktail but I just wish they had more than one single cocktail on the menu with vodka. With my choices somewhat limited, I went with a drink called "Friday I'm In Love": vodka, citrus, strawberry, mint, and bubbles. It looked beautiful when it arrived to the table and was a palate pleaser with sour, sweet, and minty flavors. They have weekly specials, classic-type cocktails, and what they call "happy meals" - a beer and shot combination. Don't fear, though, they still have Budweiser, Bud Lite, Miller High Life, and other draft beers for those feeling more traditional Upper Valley. We also ordered one of their charcuterie boards that featured local selections of cheese and meats, olives, pickled vegetables, cured mustards, and a baguette. A great selection but like most of Wolf Tree, a little on the expensive side. Overall I enjoyed my first trip to Wolf Tree and I'm glad hip places like this exist in the Upper Valley.

The interior and the cocktail menu reminded me of the cocktail bars that I frequent in NYC. It's quite cute, dimly lit. I think it's a great place for a date. I enjoyed the Night Vision. It's a rum based drink with carrot, ginger and pineapple juices as well as sesame. My friends got the Knife Fight which was a bourbon based drink with lemon ginger pineapple. Tasted like a gingery whiskey sour. If I'm in town again I'll stop by and try something else. Not sure if this is normal or if their AC was broken but it was super hot inside.

Lots of folks were having an evening tipple or dinner and chatting up other customers. Welcoming and convivial! Ten years ago, I would complain about how "nowhere" in Vermont did anyone know how to properly fry chicken. I'm from the South, and while I love the freshness and farm to table options all over the Green Mountain State, the lack of juicy, flavorful, fried chicken in any form was my foodie hardship. Well, I can't complain anymore! Xroads knows what it's about.* The fries and sandwiches are solidly on point too. Come for food, drinks, and friends. Missed ya, Scott! *Before you come at me, Worthy Burger wasn't around in SoRo when I lived there.

Tuesday's they have both Taco Tuesday specials and live music! The music was enjoyable but not overpoweringly loud, we were sitting in the same room maybe 30 feet away and had no trouble hearing each other talk. The taco Tuesday special was great--build your own taco plate! I was worried the ingredients might have been picked over or stale, but those typical buffet maladies were far from the 1764. All buffet options were fresh and well stocked. We arrive just before 6pm and were seated immediately, no wait. The place had a handful of open tables and bar seats available. The whole menu looked great, particularly the burgers and other handhelds (I was in a sandwich mood). Significant entree selection as well, check out the menu.

We ordered a few drinks and appetizers prior to our dinner plans. The wings are a must try as we had both the buffalo and maple sriracha wings. Both were extremely well seasoned and flavored. It was a very short drive and the parking facilities were good .. the interiors and seating were good too. Lots of space inside to sit and drink. Service was good, and the waitress was always smiling and took care of us well. Being a brewery one thing that surprised me was they just had one IPA on the tap.. just one IPA.. can you believe it? I was eager and waiting to drink a home grown New England/Vermont IPA but all we had there was one variety... it was a hazy IPA and don't get me wrong. It tasted really well... but I wish they had more options. They also had a wheat ale and some wine varieties.... Even in the food front, the menu was limited and less options.. We ordered chicken wings, and it was ok. Sauce was a bit sweet .. one of the sauces was really good and spicy . Overall, it fell short of my expectation and wish they had more food and drink options.. 3 stars ...
