Disclaimer: I am not a vegetarian/vegan. However, my family are vegetarians and I've dated a few vegetarians and vegans so I am well versed in vegetarian/vegan cuisine. Black Magic Mexican makes incredible food, even before you factor in that it's vegan. The ingredients are fresh, and the portions are huge! For most people, they would be hard pressed to realize that the food was vegan if they weren't told (although the cashew queso might clue some in). The 3 tacos were more than sufficient for a meal, as I took one home to eat later. The chips and guacamole was another enormous portion. They have a lot of options to please even the pickiest of vegans or the staunchest meat eaters. The marg I had was small for the price, but definitely made up for it in strength and taste. Super cool vibe in the building, and service was insanely fast. Like, surprised me how fast. Black magic is a gem in Leb and overshadows the neighboring restaurants by a long shot in freshness and taste. If price wasn't a factor I'd eat here every other day, and this is coming from someone who loves a good steak. read more

Ate here a couple of times. Food is delicious. Tried the blueberry lemonade. It wasn't good, wasted $6. The place always have a crowd. The to go order are place on table...so u don't have to wait for staff. read more

Nice people but definitely not authentic mexican food, lacking in so much flavor. It was a big portion but that doesn't matter when the taste isn't there. I was curious about vegan Mexican cuisine so I gave this place a try. I was not disappointed! The food was excellent and plentiful. The food was nicely spiced without being overwhelming. The staff were quite kind and helpful. There's space to sit down inside but plenty of people get takeout as well. The ordering system is a bit funky - even if you eat-in, you order either online or at the in-store kiosk. But it worked. You should give this place a try! read more

Amazing vegan jewel in upper New Hampshire. My wife and I heard about this place from a random kind and knowledgeable New Hampshiran named Jane. We were traveling from Burlington back down to NYC and couldn't believe this spot was right on the way. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. We visited this area to camp this weekend and I was so amazed to find this plant-based eatery so close by. The Mexican fried rice was my favorite- the chipotle mayo drizzle paired with the crispy rice and fresh grilled corn- divine! The cashew queso was also very flavorful. The husband and wife team that own and operate this place have brought Lebanon a new favorite place to eat and enjoy. They're working on adding beer and margaritas to the menu soon too. I cannot believe this vegan Mexican food truck exists in Lebanon, NH! It's proof that unicorns exist. The owner is so kind and talented, and he happily answers any questions you might have. The food is AMAZING, and not only is it creative, it's highly nutritious! I love that I can order anything on the menu and know it's appropriate for me. A very cool feature is that you enter your order onto a tablet and swipe your credit card, so no money to handle and you can order that extra item because you don't have to worry that you don't have enough cash. When a friend recommended we try this new brick-and- mortar vegan Mexican restaurant, previously in a food truck near the park in downtown Lebanon, I was skeptical; Vegan and Mexican aren't often used in the same sentence. I have been dying to try Black Magic Mexican for a few weeks (since discovering it after eating somewhere else). I LOVE Mexican food! After talking to the owner Heath for a bit (he's awesome) I ordered the heathen chicken taco salad to eat in the park and I ordered the Chorizo burrito with chipotle aioli to bring home (Heath recommended that one as it is best for reheating). The taco salad was Delicious- the vegan chicken was great and if I didn't know it was vegan I would not of guessed it. It was a big portion- two people could share. Everything was fresh and the shell was also amazing! I saved the HUGe burrito for the next day. Reheated nicely and my hubby and I shared it. We both enjoyed it. PHENOMENAL!!!! Burrito was HUGE. Slightly more expensive than chipotle/chain burrito place but that was well worth the size/quantity, as well as the quality (!!! Ok.... A Mexican vegan place sounded great as I'm Mexican and vegetarian. However, omg, this is not a 5 star place. I gave two stars for the freshly made chips, those were tasty. Generally the flavors were also okay, we had a burrito with the plant based meat and the vegan chicken tacos. The portions are unreal and make the food almost completely inedible. It's nice to have generous portions but this is insane, you can't possibly pick up a taco there is so much lettuce, cream and tomato topping and if that's not enough there is hummus in between the two tortillas that hold the taco. Hummus in a Mexican place???? Just awful. The burrito should come with a heart attack warning as that thing was so big no human should eat it alone. Had the portions been more reasonable the flavors are descent and it would make it easier to enjoy. For a plant based place, giving such large portions just leads to food waste, seems contradictory in my mind. read more
