Creme caramel sundae & regular sundae with Dubai pistachio topping
    Del A.

Food: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 When I saw Boketto had a special Dubai sundae feature with pistachio cream I knew I had to go since I love all things pistachio! My partner and I went on a weekday night and there was only us and another couple there which worked out because there's very limited seating (4 tables of 2 plus a bench). They have signs all around to limit your stay in busy times but I can imagine it would be impossible to find a spot here during the weekend. My partner got the creme caramel sundae and I got a regular sundae with the pistachio topping. Both came out to be around $10 each which is pretty steep just for soft serve in my opinion and while the pistachio cream was delicious I thought the soft serve itself was very plain and not sweet enough. Same thoughts for the creme caramel. This would be great for ice cream lovers who don't have a huge sweet tooth! No complaints on service since the lady working was super nice and made our orders quickly. Overall a solid 4/5 for ice cream - I would definitely try some of their drinks next time!

I first heard of this place from the hot chocolate festival list but I didn't have time to visit. I checked the menu and it looked good with plenty of tea options. I thought it was a bubble tea place until I got there. Then I realized it was more of a tea shop with lots of matcha drinks. Besides beverages, you can get soft serve and parfaits and mochi and liege waffles. Yums! The place is quite small with 3-4 tables for 2. There are 2 small tables outside. I loved the iced matcha latte which is unsweetened but you can request for it to be sweetened. They use whisk matcha. I also tried the matcha soft serve which had a strong matcha flavor. The matcha used reminded me of Tsujiri's and both were good. Now I know I can get good matcha latte here as well as the ice cream if I want something sweet. Good addition to the river district area.

    Ube soft serve

I've heard decent reviews about this place and went to try it out after lunch in the area one day. My friends and I wanted some dessert so it was perfect! We went into the store and it was pretty cute inside! I loved the high ceilings, the wooden planks and decor, and the natural light from the windows. The service was quite minimal since it was only one person working and there was a steady stream of customers. I ordered the Ube soft serve ($7) since it was the special for May. I was super excited because I love Ube! We seated ourselves at one of the small tables and waited around 10 minutes before we got our soft serve. It had a nice swirl and the portions were pretty large. However, I was a bit disappointed by the Ube taste since there wasn't much of it. It was more just sweet and light with a very mild taste of Ube ... or maybe even just sweetness? I don't think I could really get the Ube flavour if it wasn't mentioned, sadly. BUT I did get a taste of my friend's Matcha soft serve and I will definitely say that was superior. I learned they also use Whisk matcha so I hope to return to get that!

Everything Bagel Liege Waffle w/ Dill Cream Cheese + Pumpkin Miso Caramel Cookie + Iced Dirty Pumpkin Matcha w/ Creme Caramel Purin

Boketto has been on my list to visit for a while... I previously tried their (delicious) hojicha latte at Japan Market and I finally got around to visiting the shop. I got an everything bagel liege waffle w/ dill cream cheese and lots of goodies from the Fall Fest menu: iced pumpkin matcha latte w/ creme caramel purin, pumpkin miso caramel cookie, and pumpkin mini mochi waffles (plus one original waffle). Everything bagel waffle: This was fun. The presentation with the dollops of cream cheese in each indentation of the waffle is not just nice to look at but also creates a good texture by really highlighting e mouthfeel of the cream cheese. Pumpkin miso caramel cookie: Delicious! The dollops of pumpkin mixture were like pumpkin pie and the miso added some umami depth. Pumpkin matcha latte: I love the pumpkin and matcha combo and their matcha is top notch so no surprise that this was great. The creme caramel purin topping was really good too - adds more flavour than plain egg pudding. Mini mochi waffles: I took these to go and heated them up the next morning, and I was worried the mochi texture wouldn't be good anymore, but it still worked! I'm sure they're even better fresh, but I really enjoyed the gooey mochi texture inside the slightly crispy waffles. Neither the original or the pumpkin was very sweet which was good for me. In general things are a little on the expensive side but I can say their matcha is definitely top of the line and the waffles and cookie were also pretty impressive, so I felt like I got what I paid for. It was worth the trip to the River District area for sure.

This cafe is adorable & cozy. I got their matcha latte which is so creamy and not too bitter. The service was nice and pleasant, I'll definitely need to visit again!

Cute new BBTea spot in the new River District neighbourhood. I've been patiently waiting for a BBTea spot in my area and was excited to see Boketto's arrival. The first time I visited it was random while on a walk with a friend around the neighbourhood. She ordered the Mango smoothie and loved it. I ordered the original Milk tea with half sugar and got the original bubble waffle too. The milk tea wasn't deep in flavour but it could be because of the 50% sugar. However, the pearls were great. The bubble waffle was made fresh (yay!) but didn't have much taste or flavour to it. Pro tip: Boketto has a Happy Hour special with 25% off all drinks from Tuesday to Thursday from 3pm to 6pm. With the Happy hour in mind, I went on a Wednesday after work and ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte and added pearls ($0.75). With the discount, the drink came to just over $7. They whisked the matcha fresh and you can see how fresh they make each drink and how much care they put into it - definitely a premium BBTea product. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was AMAZING - probably one of my new favourite drinks! The matcha didn't have any bitter taste and there are fresh lychee and strawberry chunks in the drink. It wasn't too sweet and was a great drink! I can't wait to return back and try more drinks and their matcha soft serve ice cream!

Summer flavour: lemon poppy seed, raspberry sauce, shortbread crumbs, & matcha marshmallow
    Beverly A.

The hype is real! Loved the soft serve ice cream! We ordered one of the summer ice cream flavours: lemon poppy seed yuzu with fresh raspberries, shortbread crumbs, and a matcha marshmallow. Soooo good!! Because it's a summer flavour, this won't last long, so hurry and try it now! We also got the mango smoothie, original bubble waffle, and just a plain vanilla soft serve. All delicious! The decor is super cute and Instagrammable. Lots of parking in the River District area. Staff were friendly and nice. Overall, a great option for ice cream if you're in the area!

It's Boketto's first year participating in the Hot Chocolate Fest! I ordered both hot chocolates. One came with a liege waffle stuffed with mochi and the other was served with a light sponge cake with cherries. The waffle and cake were both delicious and I could tell this cafe values quality. I'm definitely coming back to try their bubble tea and matcha soft served ice cream and to grab another mochi waffle.

a hand holding a cup of ice cream with a christmas tree on top

Boketto really spiced up the holiday seasons with some super delicious photo worthy treats. Christmas Tree Sundae ($8.50)~ firstly this was bomb, I love how the matcha was strong and flavorful. I also learned that the matcha is actually from Whisk and it was good. I liked how the matcha wasn't too bitter or too sweet in fact it was the perfect ratio. It was rich and deep in flavor. The housemade cookie crumble was also delicious and paired well with the whipped cream and white chocolate star. Also not to mention super cute. 8/10. Taro days of Christmas ($8.75) ~ BOMB my favorite thing I tried and I hope they keep it on the menu because it was so good. The taro smoothie reminds me of my childhood where it was just like the taro bubble tea I use to get. It was creamy and smooth and I loved how its topped with biscoff cookies and crumbles because it adds such a nice crunch and taste to the taro smoothie. 10/10. Peppermint Hot chocolate ($6) ~ this was good too, the creamy peppermint hot chocolate paired so well with the whipped cream and peppermint candy topping. You have a choice of white or dark chocolate in which we went with white chocolate and it was so worth it. I really liked it and I loved how it wasn't too minty, it was a good ratio. It is indeed on the sweeter side but overall still delicious. 9/10. Also got the mochi waffle ~ this was sooo good you have to eat this in store, as they warm it up for you and the mochi pull was surreal. It was so chewy and the waffle was so crunchy and sweet it was delicious. I devoured this a bit too quick because of how good the mochi texture was when eaten with the waffle. 10/10. Also got the chocolate waffle ~ this was nice it had a decent amount of chocolate chunks and the waffle itself was big and sweet. I liked the crunchiness of it. 7.5/10. We also got the furikake chex mix and it was good. Sweet salty and delish! A nice combination for a nice snack. 8/10. Overall I was super impressed by the desserts here. Location: Boketto (3471 west sawmill crescent, Vancouver bc)

I got their Christmas cookie box. Let me tell you, these cookies were absolutely divine. I especially loved their soft caramels (miso in particular). The area is great and the customer service is good. This is a great spot for boba, ice cream, or baked goods.

Friendly staff who answered many questions about ingredients. The boba pearls were nice and fresh, not overly sweet. Can substitute oat milk for any drinks, which is great for those with dairy allergies. We got unique cool cat drawings on our cups :)

Finally tried out Boketto in River District and loved the overall ambiance on the inside. The lighting was bright and the woodsy themes added comfort. The prices of the drinks here are on the higher end but the quality of the drinks do not disappoint. Both the oolong milk tea with creme pudding and peach oolong tea were a delight! The bubble waffle could have been more crispy around the edges so minus a star for that otherwise, amazing

My Fiance and I went here last Sunday after discovering this place on TikTok. The interior has cute decorations and is great to take instagram worthy pictures, but we were disappointed in the sundaes. We got a matcha sundae that was way too watery and a sundae with strawberry puree and lotus biscuit crumble that tasted better, but the base just did not have any flavor. You are really only paying for the aesthetics, otherwise I would say DQ is better.

Selections are decent. however the menu is very confusing as they have a posted menu online, a digital menu via QR code and some posted menus. Unfortunately the menus were not in sync. My friend saw a couple of things she wanted to try from the online menu and was told they do not have those items. There are combo on the spot which are not their online menu and the digital menu. We ordered the chicken panini, a small mango bingsu and an order of tue mochi bubble waffle and taro milk tea. The food is very good. there is decent amount of ingredients in the chicken panini (which i forgot to take a picture of). The mochi bubble waffle was decent and i liked the taro milk tea as well. The bingsu was very well made but the price is a bit on the high end given the size. Overall service was good too

A fun hole in the wall dessert spot x flower shop!…read more Essentially there's a dessert counter in a shared space with a flower shop operated by the one owner - super adorbable concept, the boss was so nice to introduce his menu to us as well! Located on the same block as quite a few other popular HK dessert spots, I more inclined to go to Rose Cafe because it's quieter and a more comfortable environment to relax and sit around in. The boss mentioned they can make anything for us (!) including ginger milk, the sago desserts and that they event have the pistachio paste (yum!). For a quick dessert run - I opted for the small mango shaved iced, it's served with nice and ripe mango chunks, and a fresh mango shaved ice base. For just about $10 it's worth the dessert stop! They had a nice menu of several classic HK items - from deep fried chicken wings, to bubble waffles to pearl based drinks that only HK locals would order. Worth a try if and when you're in the Nanaimo / Kingsway area! Also (!) - very reasonably priced flowers and potted plants!!!

This is one of the better boba spots I have tried in Richmond where they have some creative drinks…read moresuch as the ones with panna cotta and mochi. I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.
