Boda Borg was so much fun!! Each room features a different puzzle varying in difficulty (mentally and phsyically). We went on a Saturday night during a mini-snow storm and the place was fairly packed. Waiting in line per puzzle isn't too much fun but most rooms are worth the wait. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely going back to complete the puzzles we didn't get to finish or "get" the first (or 6) times. read more

I love this place. It would be hard for me to love it any more than I already do. I mean seriously. My husband and I have been twice with a different couple each time. The first time we only went for two hours. The second time we did the unlimited and stayed until closing. A lot of reviews say that two hours isn't enough, but let me clarify. When you are on a time limit, you are anxiously watching the clock. The lines will irritate you because minutes are ticking by. Going to the water cooler is a waste of time because you are spending time away from quests or lines for quests. You practically run through the halls to get to your next line. It is exhausting and thrilling, but stressful. When we went with more time, the lines were an appreciated break, for us to whisper and strategize. We quested for a few hours then sat and had dinner at the taco bar, quested some more, split a soda (needed a dose of sugar) and took a handful of water breaks. That time spent as a break is good for your mental capacity. Its a chance to think and calm down and talk and strategize. We figured things out that way that I don't think we ever could have figured out while we were frantically running around watching a clock. The Taco Bar was good. In terms of food quality its not super-amazing, but its definitely good. For the price, if it were a restaurant, it wouldn't be worth it to me, but the value of having it right there, it being filling, satisfying and tasty, its totally worth it. There were soft tacos, tortilla chips, ground beef, ground turkey and tofu fillings and then a small buffet of your usual toppings... cheese, beans, lettuce, guac, sour cream, onions, tomatoes, salsa, idk what else. So fairly simple, but exactly what you want. The only included beverage is water. Sodas, juices, teas, coffee and things are all extra. They also have power bars and cookies and stuff. What else can I say? Expect to get ouchies. Thats part of the fun, for sure. You probably won't even remember getting them. And you should be proud of them when you get home. And be a team. Some of the physical ones REALLY require it... My brother is tall and a rock climber and for one of the quests he had to wedge himself into place for me and his girlfriend (both petite and not strong climbers) to crawl over him to get to the other side. But it worked. PS. I'd say an ideal group size is 4. It takes a minimum of 3 to fulfill most actions, but having that fourth person to observe and look around and THINK is surprisingly valuable. read more

Unfortunately, Boda Borg demonstrates that just because a challenge is difficult doesn't mean that it's worth conquering. Don't waste your time with Boda Borg. Your time, energy, and money will be better spent elsewhere. Boda Borg set out to create some difficult challenges, and they succeeded. But most of Boda Borg's challenges aren't the type that are rewarding or worth your time. A good challenge is coherent: you understand your goal and you must stretch yourself to the limits of your ability in order to accomplish it. In contrast, many of Boda Borg's challenges are exercises in repetitiveness and frustration, and are lacking in fun. Boda Borg's quests do not provide players with the rules of the game, nor do they describe the goals that need to be accomplished in order to successfully complete the mission. Players who wish to successfully complete a typical Boda Borg quest will invariably need to play through and fail the quest multiple times before they can even deduce the rules and objective of the game they're playing. Playing a Boda Borg quest is like playing an old Nintendo game that's impossible to beat without knowing a secret code. Except that with Boda Borg, there's no reasonable way to deduce the secret -- you just need to keep playing the same quest repeatedly and use trial and error to figure out what you're supposed to do. To add to the frustration, Boda Borg's quests have multiple stages. If you fail a later stage, you'll be forced to go back to the beginning and complete the earlier stages of the quest which you've already beaten. It's repetitive and monotonous. You'll find yourself trying again and again to beat a quest that you've failed -- not because you're enjoying yourself, but because it feels lousy to give up on something without experiencing the satisfaction of beating it. This is the psychological ploy upon which Boda Borg's business model is based. They know that people don't like losing, and many folks will be willing to spend copious amounts of time and money to beat these silly and pointless exercises. Don't fall for Boda Borg's trap. There are far better games to play out there. read more

Lots of fun! We had a reservation for unlimited time for 11am on a Sunday and stayed until nearly 9 pm. During the late morning/early afternoon it wasn't bad to find challenges without lines, but starting around 2 it was just about guaranteed that there were lines everywhere. (still worth it, though) Unlimited tacos means "unlimited while you are sitting here eating." If you want to eat at 1 and at 8 you need to pay twice. Though, after eating at 1 you probably won't want to go with the tacos again. They aren't very good. Like, taco bell has better tacos. Good news: there are lockers where you can drop off some snacks/lunch you packed. Rating of 5 is for puzzles and challenges and fun solving them. Good selection of puzzly puzzles to athletic'ing it up challenges. read more

I didn't know what to expect when my fiance and her friends invited me here but I surely am glad coming here. This is one of the best fun I've had in a while. At first we weren't sure of what to do but after a couple of rooms, we figured what needs to be done to progress to the next state of the adventure. Every room is unique where you sometimes need to put your thinking caps on and most of the time just think for a second before you do anything. I would definitely come back here plenty of times. Bring your most comfortable shoes and sweat pants. To have fun you really need to do some of the physical one. Our group especially loved the "Rat" room (red), "Alcatraz" (black). We only managed to clear 5 rooms out of the 20 or so in there. Hopefully Borda Borq will update some of their quest or purchase a bigger place to add new ones. Otherwise after you clear all the rooms I find that there maybe no incentive to come back here since you know all the solutions. Met the owner at one of the rooms, nice guy, gave us hints. Highly recommend for everyone to come here. read more

Such a great entertainment option when the family is in town. It's a winner! Four of us went for a couple hours and had an awesome time. I wish we could say we had completed all the quests, but in two hours we attempted five, got through a few stages, and #fail completed none! I've been trying to wrangle a third friend to go here with my girlfriend and myself for over a year now, and just made it out last night with a group of five--absolutely worth it, and we can't wait to go back! We quested at the end of the night on a Thursday from 6-10, got six stamps (apparently an impressive feat for both first- and second-time groups according to some of the staff), and made it most of the way through another five or so quests. Physically challenging and mentally taxing, we all had an amazing time. Some of our favorite areas were Farm (lighthearted and a great way to start the night), Platoon, and Tough/Tougher/Toughest, but we enjoyed almost all of them. (Infrared and StepUp didn't quite catch our interest, but they were definitely exceptions to the rule.) Our two suggestions for improvement would be to install more water fountains, and to open the taco bar on more days than just weekends, or offer some kind of area with snacks; after questing for a few hours, we'd have loved a chance to get a quick bite between attempts. Less interruption means more time to spend in the rooms... For every stamp we got, there was another quest that had us stumped despite many attempts. A few quests were under constructions, and we even saw another door with a sign saying a new quest was on its way. All that means is we have many reasons to come back--and a new life goal to become Quest Masters! read more

What an unexpected surprise! I had no idea what I was getting myself into by going here. It's $18 for 2 hours of fun-- which by far surpasses what you'd get if you went to dinner and a movie! We went at 6:30 on a Friday night. The place was a little busy, but rooms were pretty quick to get into if not open right away. There were lots of kids, which was a little annoying if you're in a group of adults. read more

Boss Borg was so fun, and something new for everyone in our group. It was easy to make reservations find the building. It's a bit confusing at first (our group didn't understand that when the red circle comes on we MUST leave the room, we spent our first hour only in the infra room trying to figure it out in vain (but when we said this to one of the guys working there he gave us another hour on our wristband)). Each room we went into was very fun but could get frustrating. The things you need to do in rooms even count as workouts. I will definitely come back to defeat more rooms. read more

More than that, split into smaller groups and you can compare techniques for some of the harder rooms. Expect to feel like you've had a workout, mentally and physically, by the time you leave. Celebrated an adult birthday party last weekend at Boda Borg. Some guests were skeptical as it looks like a kids game, but ended up having a blast. We paid for the two hour quest- which wasn't enough time for us. This was Girls vs Boys teams. The challenges were amazingly fun and I am coming back. This time on an unlimited pass. Must. Solve. Each. Quest. Weekends are little hectic. Parking is available either in a garage or open pubic lot across the street. Recommend this to everyone! read more

It's a Swedish gem! One of the best puzzle house in the New England. Very helpful staff in explaining what will be expected. Intriguing challenges for all age groups. I will recommend buying a day pass as some puzzles can take a long time to complete. People should wear clothes in which they are comfortable doing physical activities like crawling, climbing, jumping etc. read more

Came here for a work event a year and a half ago, and have been back four times since. I had no idea what I was in for when I first went, and ended up spending a good 7 hours questing that first day. Now, be warned, when you spend that much time questing, and especially if you do the more physical quests (which you should), you will spend the next few days finding bruises and feeling sore. Trust me, though, it's worth it. And the feeling you get when you complete a quest after spending a ridiculous number of times trying to solve it... priceless. Go to Boda Borg. Been here five times this year. Place is amazing and so addictive! Went with various ppl - nephews (8 and 11), sister, friends, husband and every time want to come back as soon as possible to conqueur each Quest! Three or max four ppl work best. Physically and mentally challenging, something for everyone, all ages. Dress super casual. Do the all day reservation for $33 pp; two hours for $22 goes way too fast esp if crowded. Weekdays are best (less ppl) even during summers. Great way to get kids thinking and active for short $ and all will be exhausted on way home, incl you. HIGHLY recommend! read more

I went in with a small group of 20 somethings on wednesday. I consider myself outdoorsy and very active and was not at all lookinge forward to coming here. Seemed childish and boring. But after our two hours were up I was bummed we we're leaving and with only 4 completed quests. It is so much more fun than I had imagined after hearing others talk about it. I'm hooked. We made a reservation and planned it out. My nine year old boy was very excited to go because of what he heard about from his friends. When we arrived on the day of our reservation they said that he needed a parent to go in because he was only nine years old. We read the waiver and it stated that he had to be seven or eight to need a parent. We were very disappointed and upset because we weren't not able to go. The waiver clearly stated that he could go without a parent if he was over eight but they would not let him go in. We were very upset because there was a mistake on the waiver and made us believe that he could go. read more

This is a great time. I had an all-day pass with 3 other family members. In 6 hours (minus time for food), we were able to successfully complete 5 quests out of 16, though took at least one shot at every quest. Some of the quests become a sort of obsession, trying to figure out the puzzle. I highly recommend this-be prepared for a workout (mental and physical) and you'll have an excellent time! read more

So much fun! Hours of entertainment and variety and rooms with varying degrees of difficulty. You use your body and mind. My only advice, go during off hours, it'll give you the option to play the same room multiple times without having to wait in line. Fill out the liability waiver online before you go to save time. If your kids are prone to looking up cheat codes on their favorite games, be ready to continue to encourage and praise them for their victories while you're here, as they may find the experience frustrating to start. Some good ones to start with are Farm or Quiz Show. There is long term parking in a parking garage at the back side of the building for $2 an hour. Bring your ticket and find a retailer or restaurant on the street who will validate. The taco bar is only on the weekends, but they sell lots of snacks and drinks and will order a pizza for you for $15. Workout clothes aren't required, but helpful. You definitely want stuff you can move in, crawl in, and sweat in, though. Some of the guys coming out of the black levels were dripping with sweat! Overall, it was a great afternoon. We were there 5 hours and got to appreciate where each family members' strengths lay while having an infuriating and fulfilling time. Definitely would return again! read more

I highly recommend going to Boda Borg and getting the all-day pass!! I went with four of my friends, but I think three might be the best number. You definitely want to have a mix group of ppl with athletic ability and smarts!! I wouldn't recommend kids under the age of 13 (unless with an adult) however, because the quests take a lot of patience, time, and intellect. We went at around 12 on a Friday and the place was empty, so it was perfect! At around 3:30-4, the place began to get crowded so I would consider going earlier in the day on a weekday for minimal lines and wait time:) I would say Step Up and The Farm were the easiest quests, so you may want to start with those to get the feel for questing! Boda Borg is excellent for team/group bonding and, most importantly, it's super fun!! read more

Went here for the second time with some family and had a blast and are already planning our next trip. We went with a total of 10 people so we split into 3 teams and continued swapping throughout the day which made for a fun experience. The quests overall were very innovative and fun. There were several quests that we could not walk away from until we completed them. My favorites were Alcatraz, Platoon, Jungle, and Spook House. Occasionally a quest would break down for one reason or another and the staff would be quick about making the repairs. We were there on a Saturday and never had to wait more than a couple minutes for a quest even during peak times. The hallways outside of quests absolutely need some work as there were many areas of the floor throughout the facility that were duct taped up and looking very mangled. Also there were several people that seemed to get confused and lost in the labyrinth looking for quests. All the walls are painted the same color gray and I feel that unless you have been there before it is pretty easy to lose your bearings. Overall we had a great time and will be going back as it is well worth it. read more

So an amazing thing happened the other day. My 12-year old daughter went to a friend's party at Boda Borg this past Sunday. Another mother drove her home and only on reaching our place did my daughter realize she'd left her less-than-a-week-old, very expensive invisilines wrapped in a napkin in the Boda Borg Cafe. I immediately drove her back to your site planning to sift through their garbage in search of something designed to be "invisible." For the duration of the 30-minute drive my daughter cried in the back-seat of the car. (She *never* cries). "We'll never find them," she kept repeating. "We just have to try," I answered. Then it turned out the Boda Borg manager, who was apprised of the situation, did her own digging and presented us the invisilines on our arrival. Christie, you really went above and beyond to fix my kid's mistake. My daughter knows how lucky she is. And we will never forget your kindness. read more

Would not encourage people to go here at all. We came here with a group of people, we had dinner and had a drink with dinner. (We are all over 30 years old) We were told that because we had a drink with dinner we were not allowed to participate. The employee states that it is in the rules. For the record it is not online nor in the waiver although she insists that it is. We read through the entire waiver and the worker was unable to show us where it said that. It was very clear that they did not want to let us in because it was almost 10 and they wanted to go home on time. Mind you, the woman that worked here tried to bait our group and asked them how was your night, where did you have dinner, did you have a drink. It was clear they were trying to find a way to avoid letting us in. I would avoid this place and their deceitful staff at all costs read more
