Came here with a group of 10 on a Saturday and it was really fun. I would come back for another round now that I got the hang of the bow and arrows. It took a bit to get used to, but once you get it, it's fun. Dodgeball with arrows. Instructor was quick and easy to understand. He changed up each round as different games which helped switch the paces around. My friend did get a pretty bad bruise on her arm after the game due to the bow, but maybe ask for a arm guard prior to playing just in case! Everyone was sweating and sore by the next day (lots of squatting). So prepare some water and maybe a towel. Water was $1 so that's not bad and there's a dollar general next door too for any other snacks you want to pick up! FYI the entrance is in the dollar general. Huge parking lot.

First time every attempting archery and I had a blast! It's like playing dodgeball but with bow and arrows instead. Instructors were informative and patient during the lessons and games. We played 4 rounds with varying rules, increasing the difficulty. There is plenty of protection as the arrows have a foam marshmallow at the end and helmets are required when on the field. Forearm barriers were also available for use which I wish I knew earlier as I had a massive purple bruise the next day (see photo). Everyone came out dripping with sweat after which was evident of the masks which could have used a good spray down in between uses. Would love to come again.

Fantastic experience for all ages. My 17-year old loved it. Jennifer Rosa, Christine, and Sarah made the experience for us TOP NOTCH. You can tell they love what they do. We are from out of town but will be back when we visit Boston again.

Very poor experience, we signed up for a public game couple days in advance, and in the confirmation email we were told if there was not a minimum of 6 players, we would be informed to either cancel or move our booking. Not only were we not informed, and not only did the booking disappear from there website, but when we called, they avoided answering simple questions and just kept repeating themselves. Would not recommend

The group of 23 of us had a GREAT TIME! Staff were great and super accommodating to such a rowdy group of kids and adults. Ages ranged from 12-70 years old, and everyone had a blast. Bring waters with you, you get pretty winded with all the running and squatting.

Came here on Sunday, when they had the $20 deal per person. I went to 2 times. The staff was good at explaining the rules and game mechanics, the first time. The second time, it was a different staff and people were break rules because if was not explain correctly. Overall, the experience of the game was fun and intense. If you want to try something different with a big group, then this is your place.

A fun activity for any group

Lots of fun. Equipment in good condition. It doesn't take long to get the hang of it and our referee was engaging and encouraging. Would do this again in a heartbeat.

Then, I couldn't find my way around and a woman with glasses ran out of the back room asking me in a paranoid voice CAN I HELP YOU WITH SOMETHING?!?!?! looking me up and down like I was going to rob the place. Super uncomfortable experience. I hope they don't treat everyone like that.

I got interested in archery kind of by accident. When I was in middle school, we had a…read moreShakespearean festival, which included archery among other things. The bows they had were these cheap compounds (with the wheels) intended for children... which in fairness, we were. Well that, and one step up is five times the cost. At some point many years after, I found this place. I was excited to try my hands at archery once again. Even though this place is a little out of the way, I still venture out here when I want to have a go of being a sort of Robin Hood, only one who is not nearly as good of a shot. I. Cost - Their rates are extremely reasonable for what you get. Shooting on the range is $12/hour if you bring your own equipment, and only $14 to borrow theirs. This cost includes instruction too! This is not a private lesson, but they will help you along the way with stance, aim, draw, and other such basics. II. Staff - their staff are some of the nicest, most patient people I have met! Whether they are telling you the 1st time or 101st time to bring your hand to your ear, they are just as patient and calm. Also, during my time shooting, adjusting the draw weight (on the compound) as well as the sight to my ideal levels was a non issue. III. Range - The range is pretty nice! It is well lit, fairly spacious, and they have targets at two different distances, although, I couldn't tell you what they are. I can however tell that the shorter distance is great for beginners... not so far that it becomes discouraging, but close enough that it is fairly challenging. When you are shooting, do be careful of obstacles like pipes or columns... but if you stay in your lane, you should be fine. IV. Equipment - Out of the bows you are able to rent there are recurves (think Robin Hood) and Compound bows (with wheels). I am fond of the latter, but must say the Genesis bow (make of compound) is not my favorite thing in the world. The reason for this is (don't quote me on this) compounds have a let off in weight when fully drawn. The Genesis bows do not (at least not a very significant one). I will not penalize this place for that because these are fairly cheap (~$100), durable, easily adjustable, and according to online markets a great entry level bow for people of all ages. When it comes to equipment, think of it in parallel with bowling . If you are just there to bowl for a bit of fun, you have entry level equipment (balls, shoes) that are durable, and good for those who don't take the sport too seriously. Same thing here, the bows and arm-guards aren't spectacular, and there is no mechanical release provided. If you come to shoot for an hour for fun, you probably don't care that much. As for me, I'd like to keep it casual for now... but even if I end up taking archery more seriously, I will not hesitate at returning to this place to practice!

Three friends and I…read morespent approximately ten hours here one Sunday taking the NRA safety certification course required by MA for gun licensing, and somehow the instructors made it (and by "it" I don't mean just the hands-on shooting range stuff, because of course that part of it isn't dull) something other than dull. Also, when you arrive they cook you a great breakfast complete with coffee that will get you through the morning. For anyone interested in getting any sort of gun license, or in learning more about gun handling, safety, or recreational shooting, Andover Sportsmen Club is the way to go. Do make sure you don't need to refill your car with gas on your way out of North Andover late on a Sunday evening, however, or else you might find yourself at the mercy of your misguided GPS driving through a residential neighborhood, and then rescued by a British couple (bless their hearts) who drive in front of you to guide you back to civilization and, lo and behold, a gas station that, unlike many of the others you've driven by, happens to be open.
