I had such a fun time here. I read previous reviews that the set up/training time takes twenty minutes but it was only five minutes when I went. So we had plenty of time to play. I went to a 4:30 reservation on a friday night and it was super empty so maybe that's why it felt like I had a lot of time to play. But once my session was over, it was super packed. There are games at small tables around the room that you can play while you wait which is such a great concept. The actual VR play space is in the center of the room with a lots of area for you to move. I would definitely come back. read more

This is the weird kind of business I like to see randomly popping up in the city. Sort of the Boda Borg/Escape Room type mold, something to do in the 80% of the year when it sucks to live in Boston. The space is very try-hard future tech, something that might be a good setting for an B-movie knock-off of The Last Starfighter. It doesn't smell as bad as you might expect. The games are pretty fun, especially if you have a bunch of friends screaming obscenities at you. There's no point in doing co-op, it's much more fun to fly around blowing your loved ones' heads off. For all the fun, it's just way too expensive. $50 for an hour is just kind of ridiculous, especially since they count in that hour all the set up time. If you have a big group, that means you're paying $50 for 30 minutes of play and 30 minutes of watching the two dudes they have on staff struggle to put your helmet on. Last time I went the game went black and had to be reset. Better believe I was paying $1/minute for that. A quick adjustment of price and being up-front about setup time and cost would make this place much better. As is, I wouldn't do it again. read more

Cool concept but machine didn't let you play a full game. Kept getting kicked out of the games every 5 minutes. We got extra time, but not worth it when you can't play a game without getting kicked out. Very friendly staff. Terrible experience and they offer 20 percent off next time, but it's just a headache to play. The VR in woburn mindtreck was 100 percent better and they ran out of business. I was really looking forward to checking this place out on a rainy date night. Wow, what a disappointment this was, though. We showed up 15 minutes early like the email stated. There was only one woman working at the time. When our assigned window of time started, she was helping the group before us remove their headpiece and still needed to give us instruction. Once we were finally in the device, the screen told us we only had 37 minutes of play time. We spent more time fumbling through the menu and the controls than actually playing the VR. It was a massive waste of time and money. I love the concept, but the execution here is poor at best. There should be an instructional video to explain the controls while we wait for our window (email does state show up 10-15 minutes early), there should be a catalogue to look through while we wait so we can figure out what we want to play, and games should be assorted by single and multiplayer in the menu for those who come with a group looking to play together. I hope this place can figure things out. It's a fun concept, just charges wayyy too much for how disorganized they are. read more

It was a little difficult to find but was a nice place. There wasn't much in the way of signage out front but GPS lead us there. Ring the bell & they come up to greet you & bring you downstairs. We mainly went as an activity for my 11yr old while we were in Boston for an overnight stay but we all had a great time. It was my first time playing the VR games and I wasn't very good but started to get the hang of it. My daughter loved it. They had a lot of game choices with levels to select so I think it's a great activity for groups with different experience levels. Would definitely recommend. read more

When I first arrived, I pressed the door buzzer to be let in but apparently the button doesn't work and they didn't bother to leave a sign stating this, so I was outside waiting a while before I decided to call them to let me in. It took me calling the place 3 times before someone finally answered and let me in. I decided to do a 1 hour session at this place with another person. The thing that I wanted to do the most was the Co-op escape the room but apparently the game was not working. The 2 guys there wasted 20 minutes of my time telling me to do various things to get the game to work before finally giving up and saying the game was busted. Next we decided to try the other multi-player games that they suggested but the big surprise was that pretty much all of them were not working. Finally we managed to find a vr ping pong game to play. We played first to 10 points but after someone got to 10 points, the game froze and the guys spent like 5 minutes trying to trouble shoot the issue. At this point we spent a solid 45 minutes trying to find a working game and only got about 5 minutes of us playing ping pong. After the time was up one of the guys asked if we had a great time. I let him know I was disappointed with my experience and that I really wanted to play the escape the room game. He then went on a rant about how it wasn't their fault but the fault of the gaming companies for developing bad games. Right after that he insisted we pay full price for the 1 hour experience and didn't suggest any alternatives to make up for the bad experience we had. I will absolutely never come back to this place again and I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went a few weeks ago and had an amazing time. The owner was super friendly and since I was there on a week day right when the owner had a few minutes to talk to me. I'm a tech and science enthusiasts so it was great that he took the time to just talk to me about vr in general. There are a ton of games, but just like on your home console not all are created equal. He gave me some great recommendations. I've recommended it to a few of my friends and would to anyone who asks. An extra bonus is the opportunity to support a local business which in my book is always a plus. So if you want to try VR or go again I recommend checking the place out, You'll have a great time. read more

This experience was so bad, the employees were so lazy and wouldn't help me join a game I was trying to join. The controller I was using was so bad it I was about to smack it against the floor, and the guy who was telling us what to do was so lazy he wouldn't explain of what to do. Key to amaze was sooo fun!! 10/10 definitely recommend you've got to Check it out. Went for a date but i could definitely see all ages enjoying this place for some family fun. Everything was clean and sanatized which was something I was definitely concerned about. Nate was an amazing help, he recommended really fun games and overall made it a great experience for us. This place is awesome! I went with some of my friends and really didn't know what to expect. I thought that it might be mildly entertaining, but, I was proven wrong. The VR experience they provided was so cool and there's really no words to describe it; you have to experience it yourself. I would 10/10 recommend this to anyone, especially if you have not played multiplayer VR games before. Very knowledgeable and lovely staff, as well as amazing VR experiences. Super accommodating of larger groups and even playing different games at the same time. Definitely an experience you wouldn't find anywhere else, especially without the usual wires for the VR headshots connected to the ceiling.
