I had never been here before but took my son with two friends for an informal birthday celebration…read more All three kids are neurodivergent. First, I want to say make a reservation for one of their interactive game room on their site before your visit. I made a reservation for a 60 and a 30 minute game for a total of a 90 minute experience. My son chose Party Box and The Floor is Lava. When you arrive, the person checks you in and you wear a head piece and move your entire body to solve physical challenges and puzzles. All three walls are interactive. Because the instructions go rather fast, I stayed in the room and helped the kids with instructions. Party box was like 10 different games and puzzles that were appropriately challenging for the 12 year olds in the room. They had to be aware of their bodies in relation to their character on the screen. The Floor is Lava is like the television show but more achievable. Bottom line: This is a really fun place and the games are physical virtual reality experiences that I would prefer over sitting at home with video games. Families can have a really great time and this would be a great place for a date! The young lady who was working that day was running the place single-handedly. There was a fire drill while we were there and we had to exit and wait for the mall to let us back in. I think her name was Chanel, and she was a picture of calm. When she let us back in, all the servers had to be restarted and this delayed us about 45 minutes. Despite everyone being in this woman's space and asking questions, she stayed pleasant and poised. She deserves some recognition for that. It was a lot to manage so I stayed out of her hair. But other people were not as gracious and this was totally out of her control. When a game is over, the room records a fun TikTok style video for your party. I would come back often. The cost for 90 minutes was about $50 a person but that is comparable to other gamebox places and I like the physical aspects of the space. My neurodivergent children enjoyed the experience immensely, even with the Fire Drill.

The back party space was decorated beautifully with a fun Happy Birthday theme. They were very "hands off" and aside from getting the Squid Games started in 2 of the boxes, they simply left us alone until we asked for more plates for the cake. Fun entertainment for both young and old. Prior to their party, we came here on a separate visit to do a FREE demo of Squid Game, which allows you to try out a game for approximately 15 minutes. We ended up having so much fun that we committed to the full hour of gameplay. We can't wait to come back and try out some of their other games like Psychedelic Mansion, The Floor is Lava, Angry Birds, and their latest edition, BATMAN!

I went to a 4:30 reservation on a friday night and it was super empty so maybe that's why it felt like I had a lot of time to play. But once my session was over, it was super packed. There are games at small tables around the room that you can play while you wait which is such a great concept. The actual VR play space is in the center of the room with a lots of area for you to move. I would definitely come back.

The space is very try-hard future tech, something that might be a good setting for an B-movie knock-off of The Last Starfighter. It doesn't smell as bad as you might expect. The games are pretty fun, especially if you have a bunch of friends screaming obscenities at you. There's no point in doing co-op, it's much more fun to fly around blowing your loved ones' heads off. For all the fun, it's just way too expensive. $50 for an hour is just kind of ridiculous, especially since they count in that hour all the set up time. If you have a big group, that means you're paying $50 for 30 minutes of play and 30 minutes of watching the two dudes they have on staff struggle to put your helmet on. Last time I went the game went black and had to be reset. Better believe I was paying $1/minute for that. A quick adjustment of price and being up-front about setup time and cost would make this place much better. As is, I wouldn't do it again.

Before we could even walk in, we were told every single person entering the building has to sign a full liability waiver. Not just people jumping. Everyone. I decided to actually read it. Most people probably just click through. The waiver says you are giving up your right to sue if you or your child gets hurt, even if it's because of their carelessness. It requires private arbitration instead of going to court. And the part that really stood out to me: if your child injures someone else and that family sues Launch, they can try to pass those legal costs onto you. There was no alternative or limited waiver for people who just want to do mini golf or arcade. We asked. We were told it's mandatory for everyone, no exceptions. It also still references Covid distancing and temperature checks, which makes it feel outdated and not carefully reviewed. On top of that, the place felt older and more disorganized than we expected for a relatively new location. I understand that trampoline parks need waivers. But requiring such a broad outdated legal agreement from every single person who walks through the door, even if they are nowhere near the high risk attractions, felt excessive. We chose to leave and spend our money elsewhere. Parents should take a minute to actually read what they are agreeing to before signing.
