We paid $20/person which includes a mini lesson on how to shoot and then about 20 min of shooting time on our own. We came not too long after the shop opened so there weren't many people in there yet. We got 2 whole lanes to ourselves. After you complete the lesson and you come back, I believe it's $18/per half hour There aren't many lanes, so if you have a group larger than 4, it might be a tight fit and might want to call ahead to make sure your and your group will have a lane. Overall it's a lot of fun! Would recommend if you just want to shoot for fun or you're a professional and need a space to practice

For reference, they're located in "St. James Plaza" across from CarMax, with a deceptively narrow ground-floor entryway (the facility is upstairs on the second floor - elevator available). The entrance is clearly marked, however. They have two sets of open hours: summer (Tues-Fri 6-9pm, Sat 1-5pm) and winter (Tues-Fri 6-10pm, and Sat/Sun 1-5pm). My family and I managed to get to Tangy's just in time for an hour's range time prior to their 5pm close time on a January Sunday. The place was not exactly full, but certainly in full swing. Several clearly-experienced people were doing target practice with a little extra space to themselves, a group of renters who looked like they were simply enjoying the occasional outing were on a set of lanes, and numerous more serious archers were getting gear adjustments or shopping for new equipment. Two people were on staff helping out, and they had their hands full. Thus, it took about ten minutes for my 4-pack to get lanes and rental equipment, but then we were set up and good to go. Our time went quickly. Range and rental time aren't exactly cheap. All first-timers are strongly encouraged to participate in a $25/person mini-training. Aside from that, adult rental of equipment is $5 for bow/arrows, and $3 for children while a lane will run $18/hour for adults and $13/hour for youth. My family has all shot before, so we were saved the training time and fees, but it was still $78 for a family of four for one hour. However, it's worth mentioning that if you plan to come regularly, many of their frequent guest programs (from 5-hour range time cards to full memberships) offer noticeable discounts. Tangy's tagline is "Where every level of archer feels at home" - to that end, my older son (11) described the experience as challenging but welcoming; my younger son (9) described it as "ultimately awesome." My wife liked that we were given some space to shoot as a family without too much oversight. So there you have it - their story checks out. I'm sure we'll be back in the near future.

This is an older…read morebowling alley, and occasionally the lanes get stuck, but it is well run and very family friendly. Legion bowl is clean and the employees are super helpful. In addition to Bowling, there are also pool tables and lots of video games so the kids have plenty to do here. You can also order food from The Pub on Park, which is next-door and they will bring it to your Lane. Great time and we will definitely bring our kids back here for another youth group event.!

Only store in RI that specializes in Paintball, and they run the same deals that they do online. The one dude that is always working there goes above and beyond. He knew I was looking for a new mask in a certain color, he showed me options, and was waiting on one more that I liked to come in. He held the one that I was looking at aside for me so that when the other one came in I could actually look at them side-by-side and try them on. The dude has been helpful in getting me back into the game without breaking my bank. I spend a lot of money on goalie equipment for hockey, so I always do my research when buying sporting equipment online. More often than not, the prices at RI Paintball are better than Amazon.

Also a photobooth that takes Susan B. Anthony coins (ask the front desk). There are other games as well that are newer and give tickets. There's a bunch of old kiddie rides for a quarter (horse, carousel, etc...). The beach itself is very clean and well maintained. There are water slides that the kids have a blast on. Paddleboats for $8/ 1/2 hour. Showers, bathrooms, giftshop that sells shovels, pails, etc, concession stand (that has the best hot dogs I might add.) Parking is good. Admission to beach is $3pp for non-burriville residents. Coinstar eat your heart out. A quarter in the swear jar? Absolutely not. My spare change goes to Spring Lake Arcade.

I have found my new summer oasis and its in Burrillville of all places…read more While Yelp! has the arcade listed, it is so much more than just an arcade- the arcade really is the cherry on top of a really enjoyable summer spot. This was the most meticulously maintained swimming area I have been to in my 26 almost 27 years of being a water baby. I do not discriminate and will swim in anything (see: Hope Pond) but Spring Lake will be getting my business from here on out. Its fresh water, and a large body of water at that- gentle little ripples striking the beach- no waves. Nothing to shock you as you get acclimated to the water, which has a warmer upper layer but a super chilled (and refreshing) underneath. The beach appears to be raked daily and was free of garbage, large rocks, etc. The water was fairly free of weeds and dead stuff too (believe me that much is ga-ross to step on). While hanging out plenty of fish swam on by and some minnows and tadpoles too. I take that as a sign the water isn't horribly dirty. The facilities are beautiful. The floors weren't even wet on a fairly busy Sunday when I went in to change. They also have a concession stand that had some decent priced snacks. IF you need to work yourself up to go into the water bring a bag of change and get that adrenaline running playing pinball and other vintage to current arcade games at the Spring Lake Arcade, machines run on their original coinage, starting at a penny up to a quarter + I played quite a bit of 10 cent pinball. It might cost a bit more to go to Spring Lake if you're in a big group as they charge per person, not by the car load, but for a solo trip or a weekend jaunt for 2 or 3, its still a steal or comparable in price, plus no traffic, no inane teens, no boomboxes or otherwise irritable and unsavory activities.

We returned last weekend to do The Mausoleum. It was a blast!! The puzzles were very well thought out, pretty difficult and the ambiance was a lot of fun. Theming is super important to me and they do it right here!! Andy was our Escape Master and really made the experience that much more enjoyable. His enthusiasm and wit were perfect for when we needed a hint to make it to the next section. He was kind and personable and never made us feel stupid, which I think is pretty important. Escape RI is really an adventure for those who take part of it.... The staff sends you into a themed, immersive game space filled with puzzles, and you have to solve them all in order to "escape" within the hour. Now after the pandemic, all games are private, so you only go in with people you know. The are several room and several types of experiences! While you play, the venue is being constantly monitored by a trained Game Operator, and an emergency exit is always available in case of discomfort or actual emergency. You are never locked in a room. The lights may get dim at some points, but there's no (intentionally) spooky music or sounds, no frightening pictures, and certainly no one is going to jump out at you. All surfaces are sanitized regularly by the staff. The base price to rent one of the rooms is $79 which includes two admission tickets, which is also the minimum number of players needed to play our games. Each additional ticket is an additional $29 per person. Each room has individual capacity limits. The smallest game room can hold up to 4 players, two of the game rooms can hold up to 6 players each, and the largest game can hold up to 10. Our group needed some help in some of the rooms with the puzzles and clues, so you can ask for help and the operator will help you with hints. At the end of the game, we did not Escape, but it was a fun experience about teamwork, leadership, puzzle solving, and much more.... LOL...
