The photo booth is totally worth it!

I got to bring some friends from all over and told them about this place! We were treated very well with checkin and our dining and had the best time in the carnival. The drinks are so good, my friend loved the Go Fish and I had one of the Spritz! A standout performance was Wilder! He was very conversive and knowledgeable. We also had a good time with Angelina, Olivia, Rachel who helped my friend who had a walker. She truly appreciated the time they all gave her to get her where she needed to be! Thanks again Swingers!

Had a good time at Swingers Boston. It was smaller than I imagined and the bartenders seem inexperienced but it was fun. $25 for 9 holes and a 1/2 hour of carnival games was fair and many games you could play in a group. Didn't try the food. The look was amazing in the first floor and a bit simpler on the second. However the course on the second was very challenging. Loved the feel of the place.

We had an awesome time at The Swing in Back Bay. It's a great all-around spot -- perfect for date night, girls' night, or even a fun night out with friends. The bar, arcade and mini golf make it a really unique place to hang out, and the snacks and Thai appetizers were surprisingly good. I wouldn't necessarily call it a full dinner spot, but definitely a great place to grab drinks, share some food, and have fun. The DJ also really brought the energy toward the end of the night which made the vibe even better. Only thing I could see is that the golf areas might get a little crowded if the timing isn't managed well -- but overall a really fun spot in Back Bay. Would definitely go back.

pretty cool place! The arcade area smelled like fresh cut flowers, it was wonderful. The place is drink-intensive, but the lychee martini and the slushees were phenomenal. The mini golf flow was good, but we were often waiting a lot. There was not a wide walkway or anything, it is somewhat cramped. Drinks are also served on the course. The pizza was decent, the fries were reminiscent of frozen fries, I don't know if they were fresh or not. -1 star because the coat check line alone took a solid 10 minutes, on top of the whole mini golf thing being a line, and it was loud enough I wish I brought earplugs. The casino area gives you 30 minutes to play, but there were even lines for the games. A decent amount of the games had an API out of order message or pieces got stuck.

Closer to 3.5/5 but I rounded up. I visited when they first opened and we booked a reservation for Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm. We purchased the Full Swing package for $122 including tip. The package covered 9 holes of mini golf, carnival card, and $70 food credit all covering 2 people. I am not sure if tip is included by default or if it's fees but weird that you can pre-add it before any services were delivered then of course they will prompt you to tip again on site. For the sake of not forgetting it's probably best to just wait until you're in person... I'm fairly certain we ended up double tipping. We each ordered a mocktail at the bar so we tried both. They were tasty and nearly as expensive as main drinks. There's no easy parking nearby unless you want to pay a lot at the prudential garage which we relented to give that it was raining. Upon checking in they will give you a mini golf score sheet. The bottle neck for the mini golf course is waiting your turn. They do have servers who will take your drink orders but it was painful and we saw many people bail after doing the first hole. Each hole gives you the opportunity to get the gold path which will give you a hole in one. Sadly I did not achieve it. The course was fun but also annoying there's always another group breathing down your neck. After the mini golf we headed upstairs for the 30 minute free play at the arcade. They had some fun games and your typical skee ball, ticket carousel, water shooting and horse race games. The countdown timer starts immediately after you tap your card so I would not recommend doing this if you are waiting for food or golf since you may have to leave. You earn tickets for level of success for the games. My SO won most of the rounds of the water shooting race so that was an easy 100 tickets. Then there was the ticket carousel which you could get one to try and get the bundles but your card will be locked as it's counting the total slowly. Once your timer runs out you can use your tickets for the CHANCE to use the claw machine to get either merchandise or teddy bears. That can be a bit aggravating since you're not guaranteed a prize and each attempt is 100 tickets. Somehow me and SO managed to get a small bear and the large one after using up all the attempts. By 6pm the atmosphere changed and the DJ started to play music much louder. They dimmed the lights so we decided to order our burgers to go to use up the food credit. Adding $6 for bacon on burger is downright criminal... the burgers were fine for what they were. Overall it's a fun venue to meet with friends but be prepared to spend quite a lot of $ for the experience. Not sure about the replay ability I did notice they had a separate course upstairs.

I had a lot of fun here! The space is really nice and clean. There are TONS of employees here and each one was friendly and helpful. Each round of mini golf is 9 holes. I found the holes to be fun and a suitable level of challenge. We went at 4PM on a Sunday and had the course all to ourselves. It did get busier later in the evening. The experience also includes 30 minutes of unlimited carnival game play which was super fun. The live DJ was awesome! I'd highly recommend Swingers for a fun outing with friends or family.

Came here during opening weekend and went to get food first. Our server Gisele was kind and attentive. The loaded fries, moz sticks, and burger with pretzel bun was delicious. Loved their personal Guinness glasses with a split the S for swingers. The courses were super fun and loved the carnival card included with our reservation. Excited to come here again.

It responded right away that it would optimize for a place that appeals to cocktail nerds and is open on Mondays. I directed me to Wig Shop, and said that Wig Shop even has a cocktail named in honor of John Gertsen, Boston's much-missed (he's in SF, last I knew) founding bartender at Drink and Number Nine Park. Wig Shop did not disappoint: fabulous cocktails, an easygoing vibe (my two buddies and I were able to chat without yelling from 8pm until 11:30), comfortable banquettes (with, incidentally, backs that are high enough to be supportive but low enough that you can spread out your arms on them), and wonderful service. The service, in particular, lives up to the "cocktail nerd" aspect that the LLM highlighted: our server knew the drinks backwards and forwards, and knew exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned the drink in Gertsen's honor. I'd recommend this place to cocktail nerds, and to anyone who wants to have a drink and chat with friends. We'll be back soon.

The Wig Shop was on the list... what a coincidence we were just going to be there. So, obviously, we made it a point to check it out. It was very last minute, so we had no reservations, but we checked opening hours and were there almost on the dot. Thankfully we were able to get in. The way they are setup is that if you are a party of 2, they sit you with another "couple" to maximize space. This is fun, it makes you have conversations with strangers that for the time you are there become "friends". Hopefully you have the same good experience we did and not have anti-social people in front of you. The drinks are fun and strong, and they have a full bar for those who want something more classic or have a drink of choice. They also have food, which looked really good.

This place was awesome!!!…read more If you are a Gen X'er, and love great cocktails, you will love this place! So we are from out of town; Texas, to be exact, and we were in Boston on vacation. We were looking for a place we could get some drinks and appetizers, and maybe watch some sports. A person in our group found this place online, so we gave it a try. We loved it! The 80s & 90s decor, as well as the 80s & 90s music they were playing made it an instant hit for our Gen X group. Every single song that was played was on my personal playlist, so we sang along and danced at our table to the tunes that took us back in time. There were some early 2000s songs played, too, but all songs played were songs we know and love. So needless to say, we loved the music!! Also, the drinks...oh my, the drinks. They were so, so good! Some in our group had the Adult Caprisun, including myself. It was so tasty, and served in an actual pouch, which brought me back to my 80s childhood. Another in our group ordered the Pink Flamingo which came with a little inflatable pink flamingo that you could take home with you. We noticed that the drinks were just perfect, too; not too strong with alcohol, and not watered down, either. The food was okay. It's bar food, so it's not going to knock your socks off or anything, but it hits the spot if you are drinking and hanging with friends. Our server was good. She was attentive to our needs and took good care of us. It was interesting to me that we, a group of age 50 somethings, were the oldest among the clientele, as everyone else was probably in their 20s or early 30s, but we didn't care. We had a great time! The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because someone in our group wanted to watch the Red Sox game, and apparently it was on Apple TV that night and the bar didn't have Apple TV.

The atmosphere is very casual and low-key, perfect for grabbing drinks and a bite without any pretense. I ordered a flatbread listed as a Margarita, but it was more like a cheese pizza than a true Margarita. It was still decent, just not what I expected. The online menu did not match what was available at the restaurant, which made ordering a little confusing. On the drink side, the wine selection was underwhelming, but the beer list was solid, and the cocktail menu stood out. They clearly put more focus on mixed drinks. This is not a fine dining destination, but it works well for what it is, a laid-back bar with better-than-average food and a great drink program. I rate it 3.5 stars, but will round up to 4 for the strong service and cocktails. It is a good choice if you're looking for a casual spot downtown with good energy.

In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.

Our waitress was really nice and did well with our large party. Their menu is mostly apps and smaller plates, so if you're looking more for a large meal this is not your spot. I got the nashville hot mozzarella sticks which were actually pretty good, I liked the tomato relish they put on top and the ranch was really good. Dive Bar Diva was my cocktail which was pretty good. My friends seemed to like their drinks and bar bites. After dinner we went upstairs to the club and got to skip the line (thankfully). The line for the club wraps around the building down the street most nights, so we got lucky. Dance floor is upstairs and it's pretty small, just one room. There were two DJs that night, and the music was really good. Bar was fun, they handed out free chicken tenders at one point and were squirting shots into peoples mouths out of gatorade bottles. It was awesome. Bathroom line upstairs for women was crazy, only one bathroom and it took a long line. I suggest going downstairs... but at least you'll see the famous cheetah print walls! I will say trying to get in contact with the reservation staff was difficult but finally they answered after days of my friends and I trying.
