I came to F1 Arcade for an office event and it was a ton of fun! We all rotated in and out, trying out the simulation machines. I'm no driver... so I was quite horrible, but it was a blast! We stopped in the F1 arcade for a drink and to hide from the cold Boston winter day before our dinner reservation. The space is cool but service is spotty and it's a bit confusing how to get set up. We grabbed seats at the table but had a really hard time ordering drinks as there aren't many servers walking around and even when we walked up to the bar we waited 15 min to get someone's attention when the bar was half empty. Drinks were decent, I enjoyed the winter spritz but observing the people around us it seemed like there weren't enough staff members to help people to their seats to drive and larger groups were not attended to well either. I came here with a reservation for a group of 10, and we were set up in teams of 2-3 in a section of 4 simulators. We were able to choose between a range of easy to hard modes, which determined how much our car drifted and helped accommodate different skill levels. Each race lasted a few minutes, and it was nice to switch out when your teammate was racing to take a breather and socialize. The sound and motion effects were high quality and probably my favorite part of the experience. They really enhanced the immersion by bumping you around and bringing the roaring engines to life as if you were really on the track in real life. Overall, this was a great experience for a reasonable price (under $30 per person). As huge Formula One fans, this was a must do while we were in the city of Boston. Located in the Seaport district this location has wonderful food and beverage offerings as well as simulators for racing. The drinks can definitely get expensive with their pre-selected cocktails, but I will say that they were delicious as we tried both the reserves. For the racing, you have an option of three races or five races and we opted for three as only one of us was racing. If you have a large group and you want to race each other, you have that option from a team perspective. We did the three races option and it was around $30. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty crowded, felt a bit claustrophobic trying to weave through the groups to get to the seats and bathrooms. As for the game, I wish it could have been 5 games 6 min each rather than 3 of 10 min. Or, have a warmup round, or some time in between to socialize with your group (although you can do that before/after). Also, one of our simulators also turned out faulty (unresponsive to controls) for the last game :( Drinks were also just fine. What I thought was their spin on an espresso martini (victory lap) is batched and heavy on the coconut and milkiness. Wouldn't get again. The welcome to Miami was stronger and not too sweet while the sake sunrise could easily have been a mocktail. Garnishes are fantastic though. Not sure if I'd return. We recently visited the F1 Arcade for a date night. Definitely book reservations online before going in. Upon arriving we checked in and had some time to spare so we got drinks at the bar. We got a glass of rose and a beer, a little pricey for two drinks that weren't cocktails. Their food menu had a variety of items for everyone to enjoy, but we can't comment on the food itself as we didn't order anything. After a short wait we were able to go to our assigned driving simulators where an employee will provide some instructions. We did three races that went by extremely quick and had a minute or so in between. Our races were done in less than the thirty-minute timeframe given. First and probably last time I'm coming here. It was $25 per person for 3 rounds that each lasted around 8 minutes. The total time spent racing was less than 30 minutes as advertised. Here is the step-by-step process from my experience : 1. Walk up the stairs and get your ID checked. 2. Go to the front counter to check-in for your race. 3. Find your assigned seats and come back when it is time to start the race. 4. Check-in AT your assigned seats. 5. Each race is back to back within 1-2 minutes. 6. Finish everything in under 30 minutes. I really don't like the strict timing of events. You HAVE to check-in twice, once with the host and once at your seat. And you have to do this on a strict countdown. If you don't sign in within the count down then you are not able to play that round --- you skip the round and you don't get another round back. I also do not like that each round is back to back within 1-2 minutes. This is barely any break to snack or converse. Here's a tip, if you want to hang out and chill for a bit before racing make sure you get there 30 minutes + before your race starts. They should do a queue system where when you sign in you can join a queue or group at the time you want to race. And they should do this for each separate round so you can have time to relax in between. Everything felt very rushed. Overall, the game itself was fun. You can individually choose different modes easy, med, hard for your driving style. Seats were not very adjustable. Seats had minimal movement to mimic real racing. The bar is cool. Very pretty and the espresso martini was very good. Bartenders were very nice. read more

I took my brother and two nephews here so we could all race against each other. I had been there before and enjoyed myself and was looking forward to racing against family members. Unfortunately, that is not an option. You have to race on teams and switch from one driver to another each race. Ok no big deal, we would still be able to track who had better lap times since you create an account and race under that info. The app was not working for me and the attendant was not able to change what team I was on and I ended racing under my son's account..but whatever..no big deal. I was angry though because part of the appeal of this experience to me was that place started your stats regardless of whichever city you visit that has one of these arcades. We were having a good time until one of the racing pods stopped working. By the time we got an employees attention the race was over of course. We were advised that we would have to wait for the other three racers finished all of the races and they could allow for one of us to race once by ourselves against bots. We just left and I posted this rather than fight for a refund. So I walked in here with my fiancé thinking this was a regular arcade. I had no idea it was an F1 driving arcade until we got inside. I loved how nice the bar looked and all the dried florals inside so we decided to grab a drink and some truffle fries. Our bartender was very slow and not the friendliest. Not sure what his deal was but at least my drink tasted really good! I loved the dried raspberry powder on top. The truffle fries were bursting with truffle flavor and so crispy! Revved up for the F1 Arcade! I didn't even know these arcades existed -- what a cool surprise! I'm an F1 fan (team McLaren!) and have watched plenty of the PlayStation game with my husband, but this felt like stepping right into a Grand Prix. The immersive vibe starts the second you walk in, and even the restrooms are on theme! We didn't book ahead because we wanted to wing it. With two people, you race Head-to-Head and can pick either 3 or 5 races. There's just a couple of minutes between races, so be ready! We went for 5 races, which gave us about 50 minutes in the simulator. The tracks are preselected and you race as yourself with the real F1 drivers. I stuck with rookie mode for all 5 races -- those hairpin turns are tough! Race 1 was basically me by myself after a rough start, but Races 2-4 were a blast battling with the pack. By Race 5, I just cruised at my own pace and enjoyed it. They've got fun themed drinks (including non-alcoholic options) and good food too. Just be aware it can get pricey if you're eating and drinking on top of the simulator cost. If you're an F1 fan or just love racing games, you should definitely check this place out. If you're doing the "head to head" racing, I'd suggest the 5 races instead of 3. The 3 races were fun but slightly too short, we wanted more and ended up paying again for 3 more races! Which made it way more expensive than just getting the 5 races, haha. There were also some hiccups- our first race simulators weren't working, and we got charged for some items we didn't purchase, but staff was quick with moving us to different ones and fixing the charges. Ehh cool-ish concept but super overpriced and the racing game is ridiculously difficult. Once you get a little behind it's nearly impossible to catch up to the pack.... Frustrating. I tried both level 1 & 2 and they seemed equally hard. Also ridiculously expensive for 2 people to do 3 races (which was maybe 20 mins of racing it was I think $65)!!! Unreal! However the place is brand new and has a cool atmosphere. The entrance is pretty cool with the red lighting. When I asked for the menu- it was a weird time (like too early for dinner and a little after lunch) and there was basically only pizza and burgers. We opted to eat elsewhere at this point... I recently attended a corporate/private event at F1, and overall, it was a fun venue as you could use the simulator for ~5 minutes, compete with colleagues, and then return to socializing. Then, whenever you felt like it, you could join another race. Unfortunately, there was no instruction provided for the simulators / race format. The food was pretty decent, including bit-sized birria tostadas, guacamole, and beef sliders. Service was sufficient for our large group and kept the drink orders coming. While it worked great for this corporate social, I think I would be really disappointed coming here if I was forced to do three back-to-back-to-back races in less than 30 minutes. The simulators are modern with nice screens, but they give zero illusion that you are actually racing as the seats have limited movement, and you often feel "alone" on the track if passing opportunities don't come about. The food was all right. Overpriced for what it was definitely, but given this is in Seaport and the main attraction is the racing, that was too be expected. It was also hard to flag down servers at any point - the place was pretty busy and seating was first come first serve so it was hard to decipher which of those standing were people who worked there vs. just other patrons. I had a good time with my group but I think everyone should I know what to expect. I initially thought it was going to be more go-kart style but the later found out it's a simulator. I then thought the simulator would be something fancier than what you get at a normal Dave and Busters type arcade but it's very similar. It's still fun but I guess don't expect much more. I heard these sims are capable of more but the settings are turned down for the masses? Idk. They have a large cocktail menu and a small selection of food for when we went in the afternoon. The apps were good but a larger menu would've been nice. The service was very slow and bad though. Not sure if it was a one off but the waiter straight up walked away from me and our table when I asked for recommendations because I didn't have a chance to look at the menu yet. Then he didn't come back for 20 min we had to flag someone down just to bring us waters. The margherita flatbread was delicious tho - flavorful. Kept hearing about this place, so my friends and I thought we would give it a shot. We took the time to make a reservation a few weeks in advance to get a decent time on a Friday night. We had a 6:45 pm reservation and before walking in we were all carded. I wonder what would happen if I wanted to go into this place with someone that wasn't 21. Would they not be able to enter? The ambiance while walking in was very cool. The lighting was darker and there was lots of red everywhere. I will say the designer(s) clearly put a lot of thought and detail into the theme. While, I openly admit this was my mistake, I thought this was a go-kart place and not a simulator. Consequences, I was disappointed but able to get over that. What bothered me was that we had a party of 5 (on our reservation too) but we had to alternate between 2 simulators. Why have us make a reservation but not allow all of us to race at once? Furthermore, behind the simulators there wasn't a bar top for use to sit and watch. Instead we had to awkwardly watch our friends while simultaneously standing in front of a couple having a birthday celebration. I can't speak to the food there as we didn't eat any. I had an incredible time here at f1! Our first time trying it was NYE and they truly hosted the best party. Champagne toast as you walked in, Plenty of live acts, to keep you busy while you weren't racing, waitstaff was absolutely amazing with coming to check in to see if you needed anything. Food was so good; for arcades I was very impressed. We got the Wagyu Beef Sliders, Dynamite Fried Chicken w/ Chili & lemon aioli, and the Truffle fries. The racing was definitely hard for me even on the rookie setting , but still had lots of fun. Really fun vibes loved the lights everywhere!!!
