This was one of the many recommended rooftop bars of Boston. We were able to get a reservation here same day so we came here. The patio is nice and the view of the skyline is pretty! We wanted to start with the frozen espresso martinis but they were out so we ended up trying different drinks- I had a spritz that was refreshing and my friends had the coco Rita & the lemon blueberry Tini- we had two rounds of drinks before the frozen drinks were ready again. They tasted like a mudslide/milkshake so was a nice finisher to our night here. We had snack throughout our time here. The mezze platter was OK, the cauliflower was gross and flavorless, the cheese was iffy. Really we just munched on the hummus and the pita bread. The oysters were decent! And the spinach artichoke dip was also fine- not the best but not the worst. I did really enjoy the pita bread. I have one of the best restaurants experienced here at Deck 12! We had reserved the gondola table right on the rooftop. It was a great view of Boston. Highly recommend for a scenic view and pictures. It was very cold the day we went. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were kept warm. They adjusted heating lamps and brought us very warm blankets. They even were able to move us indoor when it got very chilly. The margarita pizza and truffle fries were great to snack on while we gabbed. We got white wine for the table. I highly recommend getting the chocolate fondue. It came with apples, strawberry, marshmallows, and churros. These dipped in the decadent chocolate tasted amazing and was so fun. Sebastian was a great waiter who kept checking in on us. He even offered to take picture of us outside. Overall, I highly recommend this place. read more

Deck 12 makes for a good rooftop bar. We ordered Nana Connie's Meatballs, Papas Locas, and New England Clam Chowder. All of which were tasty - even if they were a dollar or two over priced. Even though they have heaters on the deck I'd still recommend dressing for eating outdoors. Service was to be expected. They didn't rush us as we were busy yapping and probably only judged our meal choice a little :). read more

We stayed at the Yotel during this trip to Boston and had a credit from the resort fee to use at the bar. After checking out on the last morning, we went up here to enjoy a coffee and mimosa. The view from the rooftop is gorgeous, they have a good amount of seating both inside and out, with umbrellas that they bring out when it starts to get sunny to protect visitors from the elements. We decided to sit inside at the bar and we were so glad we did. The bartender, junior was absolutely incredible. He wasn't supposed to be working this Sunday but was covering for someone else. Lucky! He instantly was so friendly and walked us through the different menu options, giving advice and recommendations along the way. He made me a special iced coffee with whipped cream, and my friends mimosa was just the perfect ratio, authentic and delicious. We even unexpectedly got a second round because of it. We tried tiny samples of the melon margarita that he was batching to make into a frozen cocktail for the day, and it was also delicious, he is a wiz behind the bar! He was also willing to engage in conversation about everything under the sun with us - my friend recently was back on the dating market and picked his brain for advice on dating in Boston. He kept it professional and classy while still making us laugh and giving us the real deal. We almost regretted not sitting outside on the rooftop at first but this experience made our trip to this hotel worth it (since the room was otherwise super tiny and the bathroom had no door) Thank you Junior!! read more

I really wanted to love our experience at Deck 12 because the space and patio atmosphere are beautiful, especially on a nice night in Seaport. My friends and I went on a Tuesday after work specifically hoping for outdoor seating and a fun dinner/drinks vibe. Unfortunately, the service experience throughout the night was extremely disappointing. We waited quite a while to even be greeted by the host when we arrived. I completely understand restaurants get busy because I work in the industry myself. But it felt like the lack of acknowledgment continued all night. We sat at the bar while waiting for our patio table and weren't greeted by the bartender for about five minutes with no menus or acknowledgment. Even just a quick "I'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. We ordered drinks at the bar, and once our patio table was ready, the bartender told us he'd bring them out when they were finished. After being seated, we were told our server would be right over. The bartender brought our drinks. Another 10 or so minutes go by and then he brought water pitchers, mentioning our server was busy and would be over soon. But another 20-25 minutes passed before anyone came to our table. We eventually had to ask the host about it before we were finally helped. By that point, we were starving since we had come straight from work. The food unfortunately didn't make up for the experience. The nachos were surprisingly small for the price (barely enough for one person) and arrived somewhat cold. To their credit, the manager did remove the nachos and a round of drinks from the bill, which we appreciated. Completely baffled by all of the terrible reviews; have heard that the food menu was redone recently though, and is much better now. I love this rooftop! The service is friendly, very accommodating and there usually is not too long of a wait. The views of the skyline of the city are beautiful! I went for lunch while staying at the hotel, and tried the beef empanadas, and the smash burger with truffle fries. The beef empanadas were a bunch of tiny ones, all very crunchy with a "secret sauce" that was the best part about the appetizer! The smash burger was 2 patties, caramelized onions, mushrooms, pickles, and a BBQ aioli sauce- and was just as delicious as the appetizer. The flavors combined so well together, and the patties were juicy, despite being "smashed". The truffle fries were thin, crispy, and served with Parmesan, truffle oil, and a garlic aioli (per my request). ALL of the food I tried here was fresh out of kitchen, with unique flavors, and all very delicious. Most certainly not the "bar food" we had expected. Deck 12 is a rooftop bar in Seaport on the top floor of the Yotel Hotel. They had a long wait on the day that we went at around 9:00pm on a Friday so we ended up sitting inside. It was pretty dark, crowded and loud but is a classy place to go with a friend for the downtown vibe. The food and drinks are a bit expensive but the quality of the ingredients and portion sizes make up for it. The drinks were strong and garnished well - very fancy. The truffle fries were good, I just wish they came with more aioli. The deck 12 nachos were made with plantain chips instead of tortilla chips and the chicken looked a little undercooked but everything was seasoned well. All the dishes were good for sharing and were very filling. I'd recommend visiting at least once just for the ambiance and a drink if you're in Seaport. read more

Deck12 has such an incredible view of the seaport area and one of few rooftop options I know in the city. The ambiance is very lively even on a weeknight which I liked. Service is very accommodating and nice. There's not a whole lot of food options, I had the buffalo chicken burger which I thought was alright! had a good spice level and chicken was crispy but nothing special compared to other chicken sandwiches I have had. There is a long list of fun cocktails to try! I had the strawberry not'cha tini which was pretty yummy but a funky color for presentation, but i could taste both the strawberry and matcha. Stopped by when they first opened. Wanted to sit out on the rooftop. Only two groups were sitting out there. When we asked to sit outside we were told they had nothing available. Anyway, we sat at the bar and had one drink each. My wife had a cocktail and I had a Sam Adams - almost $40 with taxes and automatic tip (18%) included. By the way, no one else came during that time to sit outside while we were at the bar. Stayed at Yotel and had to check out Deck 12! We came for brunch and it was pretty quiet, so the servers came by and checked on our table quite a bit. We got the waffle burgers and poutine for brunch. The portion sizes were pretty large so we had a lot of leftovers. The food overall was just okay. I thought the waffle burger was way too large so it was a little hard to eat and enjoy. We came when it was snowing, so I'll definitely be back to try sitting out on their deck and trying out their apres menu! read more

An amazing rooftop/penthouse experience in downtown Boston! It was raining, so we couldn't sit on the rooftop, but we sat on a room that had great rooftop views. Everywhere inside had a view with windows all over, which made it feel as if you were right out on the rooftop. Our reservation was for 6:45 and we got there an hour early, and because it wasn't busy, they sat us right away. I got the sangria to drink, and it was so delicious that I got another one. This is mostly an appetizer/small plate place, so we got the fried calamari and the chicken ranch flatbread. Both were picture perfect and very tasty. I really liked how the calamari was in rings and little octopus form lol. The garlic aioli with it was a must. The flatbread, I could have done without the onions, but it was just what I needed to fill me up. Waitress so was amazing. Highly recommend this spot for an early stop before dinner! read more

Was staying in this hotel for work for about a week and we stopped in a couple times for both drinks and food. They have a lovely rooftop and a great drink selection, both alcoholic and NA. I do wish they had THC seltzers as listed on their website but I understand there were some regulations that impacted their ability to serve those. For food, we got mac n cheese, side salad, and banana split. I was unable to get a picture of the mac n cheese but they must have updated their recipe recently as it looks different than what is pictured in other photos. They also did not have fondue, which I was disappointed by as it looked delicious. read more

We were looking for a rooftop bar in Seaport, and stumbled across Deck 12! They're located in the Yotel hotel. The rooftop was actually beautiful and had the perfect views for the vibe we were looking for. There were heaters outside which helped with the cold, and that was super appreciated too! They had tons of drink options - I went with the Just Peachy and it was sooo good! Definitely get this if you enjoy sweeter drinks. Food-wise, we weren't hungry enough to get food but they seemed to have a pretty good selection. Service was quick and our server was super friendly. The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was that they were playing the same 3 songs on repeat the entire time we were there lol - but either way a great place for drinks! read more

Took and hour for 2 drink and 1 app (that was forgotten to be rung in). Location charges gratuity for all parties automatically but the bill reflects "service charge." Manager let us know the server was supposed to tell us that when he greeted us which they were not surprised that our server did not. Letting us this they are well aware of that issue. read more

This bar was on the rooftop of our hotel so we had to check it out. The view is stunning! We went late Monday night (930/10pm) and we had our choice of seating. They seemed like they were close to closing so we didn't stay long. The drinks are pretty pricy, but not unexpected for a rooftop. I came to visit my friend in town, and she suggested we check out Deck 12. Luckily, it was an unseasonably warm evening and we were able to snag a reservation in the outdoor section, Apres. The atmosphere is really neat, especially all of the Adirondack chairs made out of skis. There were plenty of powerful heaters near each group of chairs. The view was great! My friend and I both ended up getting the same drink, Not Coming Home, which was both fruity and a bit floral. We split the cheese fondue, which was a very generous portion for 2 people (though I do wish it came with more bread!) and the flavor of the fondue was spot on. I went here for my 22nd birthday brunch and it was a perfect way to begin the celebration! We requested an outside table when we made the reservations, as we knew the view was incredible, and it did not disappoint! I got an aperol spritz, it was very refreshing! I also got a side of bacon and potatoes to snack on, they were the perfect size, and tasted delicious. A Boston rooftop may not be your first thought of a place to hang on a chilly day in January, but Yotel's Deck 12 will prove you wrong with their Apres menu and fun vibes. We made a reservation for a gondola, which is the most heated option. Be sure to make a reservation because they don't allow walk-ins on the roof during this time! You are also able to reserve adirondack seating, which is partially heated, and chair lift seating, which is drinks only. IMO the gondola is the most comfortable option, so book a few weeks out to get that since there are only 2 gondolas! The views are great, there are lights and good music, and the menu is a fondue-lover's dream! We started with a glass of Portuguese Blend red wine and the Four Cheese Fondue For Two, which came with an array of accompaniments (including some non-standard fare) like pretzel bites, cornichons, toasties, potatoes (my fave), mushrooms, and dates. There was a great amount of cheesey goodness, and we weren't able to finish it all... since we needed to save room for dessert. The Dark Chocolate + Pinot Noir Fondue for Two was so decadent, with accompaniments including giant marshmallows, brownie bites, angel food cake, and strawberries. We also couldn't finish this, and the kind server offered to wrap up our leftovers so we could take our goodies home. She also took our photo! Overall, the service was so friendly, multiple people checked on us, and they even gave us blankets when the wind started picking up. Seated on the patio with my party of four--the views were gorgeous. I was celebrating my birthday so I was excited to have a good night. The main problem was the HORRIBLE service. Our server barely acknowledged our table. We waited over AN HOUR for water despite asking the waitress four separate times. We gave up and walked up to the bar to get it ourselves. We were completely ignored the entire dinner. No offers for other drinks, refills, or anything. Our server barely made eye contact or said anything to us. I know places are often understaffed these days, but given the price point for this restaurant, that type of service is unacceptable. To make matters worse, we quickly realized that our server was providing good service to every other table in her section except for us. Two members of our party were Black, and despite our best efforts to sympathize with the clearly very busy server, it became clearly discriminatory given that the table of all white people behind us received far better service. I don't throw that accusation around lightly but it became quite clear by the end of the meal that the server was racist and her lack of customer service was clearly rooted in some sort of bias. Additionally, we ordered one espresso martini and never received it. We waited for more than 45 minutes before cancelling it because she clearly never even put it in. Oh, and the food was extremely overpriced for what you received. Hate and bigotry should never be tolerated, especially in Boston of all places. Never been so disappointed with service before in my life--especially at an "upscale" restaurant like this. Could not recommend this place LESS! Especially if you are person of color. read more

Believe the bad reviews. The food was not good. It's hard to ruin a pretzel, but when it's bland and tough on the outside, and somewhat gooey on the inside, you've done it. The drinks tasted like dishrag water, save the sparkling wine I got, which was fine! Not to say this adds insult to injury, but... They didn't have standard condiments like yellow mustard for their pretzels. The onion (?) mustard they served with them instead was extremely gross. The view is great and the service was okay. I guess what I'm saying is you can come here for the beer, wine, and view, and not much else. read more
