We came here on a Sunday for a staff outing and chose the unlimited mini golf. The bartender recommended their house Old Fashioned when I ordered a standard; decent, but extremely overpriced. There wasn't much direction, and no one to guide us where to go. We figured out the kiosk ourselves and eventually made it to golfing. The courses are fun, but every shelf and table was littered with empty drink glasses and beer bottles from previous groups (anyone here ever heard of a ROUND?). My biggest gripe was the bar closing early, and staff already preparing and cleaning the course while we were still playing. They seemed noticeably frustrated that we were there, even though this was about half an hour before their posted closing time. Being in hospitality, that behavior gave off serious "please leave so we can call it a night" energy from basically everyone working. To the managers/owners: if you don't want people there until 10, close at 9. We paid a lot of money for this experience, and thank you for showing our team what not to do. 2 stars for the game and the concept, zero for hospitality and execution. GET IT TOGETHER. read more

This review is only for the mini golf and no food or drinks. Came here for a family outing and it was super fun! It's cool how modern and interesting the course is. Also super cool how tech savvy it all is as the sensors remember who is playing and how many moves you've made. There were three 9 hole courses. Each one was unique. We came in the middle of the day on a Saturday and the waits weren't too bad but I can foresee this getting a bit busy as the night wears on. Some people complain about the wait time but that comes with putt putt territory. Sometimes you get lucky and you're surrounded by small groups. Sometimes a big crowd of kids are in front of you so you wait a lot. To me that is just putt putt. There were lots of TVs so I can see this being a great place to watch a game and have a drink! A fairly fun place to hang out with friends, get something to eat and play some Indoor Putt-Putt golf. The golf courses are fairly neat, with fun, little quirks that are placed on each course. The food is decent, though I would recommend some light tweaks. The flatbread was essentially pizza, and the tomato sauce was a bit sweet without being tangy enough. The chicken wings were nicely cooked though the sauces were a tad ordinary. The salad had some nice bits but perhaps too much lettuce that were small bits, though the arugula was nice. read more

Fun place to go to get a drink, have a meal and play some indoor putt putt. It's best to make a reservation because it does get busy. They have a brand new food menu. We had the margherita pizza, birria nachos and birria tacos. They were all very tasty, would have liked a bit more meat on the nachos but otherwise it was very good. We ended with the churro dippers. Our server was fantastic and was generous enough to give us a couple gift cards to play putt putt! There's parking around the building and in nearby garages. I love mini golf and it's even more awesome when it's indoors in the central ac. It gets easily packed so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. Pros: I enjoyed the different themed holes they have, which made it more fun. Enjoyed the automatic scoring so we didn't have to do any manual calculations. Cons: There was still a bit of a wait even though we made a reservation ahead of time. It was pretty crowded in the seating area and there's always a wait for the other groups to finish before your turn. Sometimes the wait is quite lengthy depending on the party size. It's a nice group activity but I can't imagine coming here often. Be prepared to order drinks and stay hydrated during those long waits. Food took an eternity too. read more

Now I am not one for mini golf...but this place was a BLAST! It was so engaging, I don't think my attention was lost for even a second. No hole is terribly difficult, yet that doesn't make them boring. The lights, sounds, and displays on both the physical holes and T.V. were so entertaining. It felt just as comforting as an old-school arcade, but like nothing I've ever seen before. The biggest plus of the set up was the automatic scoring on the TVs because who wants to do math when drinking (NOT I!). Plus, then sore losers can't cheat!! The food and drinks were great as well. I love how each hole had glass holders for players so you could easily sip between strokes. We got pornstar martinis as well as buffalo chicken dip and a jalapeno burger. What a cool escape from the cold or heat!! This indoor golf experience is not only super fun but their computer generated courses actually keep the score for you!!! After registering you will be given a certain color to start at. That will be your course for 9 holes. At that point you could stop or continue to play/ pay for another round of 9 holes. The courses are colorful, creative, and provide sound effects. The facility also has a huge bar that offers both food and drinks. You can choose to eat at a table or enjoy your drinks while putting away. Each hole has a small two towered table to conveniently hold whatever it is you are snacking on. This is a cute spot that would make for a good date night. Unfortunately, the only day we were able to go on our vacation was Veteran's Day. Even though it was a Tuesday at 11am, it was pretty crowded with a bunch of kids being out of school. Not a fault of Puttshack, just bad timing. The intuitive ball was pretty interesting, we liked how it kept score. We ended up playing two different areas: Ruby and Sapphire. I've played at a Puttshack last year in Philly, and this one is no less different. It's a fun activity to do and drink friendly. They have four different courses and you're randomly assigned to one at check-in. There's 9 holes and each hole is uniquely created to make it extra fun. Some include a half pipe, beer pong, carnival like games, Tetris, etc. The golf ball is tracked electronically, so you don't need to keep track of the score. The drinks at the bar were pretty good. It was my first time going to Puttshack in Seaport yesterday and it was not, at all, how I thought it would be. I had known that it involved indoor putting, however, had no idea we would have to wait 5-10 minutes for each hole. Like yes, it was busy because it was a Friday night but the wait for each game was kind of a buzzkill. We did not get to try their food since we had gone somewhere nearby to eat prior to coming. I can comment on their drinks though! They were okay, a little too citrus-y for all the ones we ordered. Overall, it was fun when we did get to play. After we all finished, we had to wait again for another 10 minutes to play the next hole... eh. Maybe I will try coming on a less busy day on the week day or something next time. read more

Decided to try this out since we like putting some golf balls at the courses in the summer. Cool concept, easy to register on kiosk screens and head over to one of the two sides of the establishment to start your turn when time gets close. They have screens that tell you what groups up next and PA announcements when it's your turn up. Once in line and called a staff member helps you dispense your individual golf balls that are tied to your profile for the game. You grab a putt and go for it. Now when it's busy, you pretty much wait in line and it could drag on. I think if they had mini shot bars in between holes, that would at least give your group something to do while waiting haha. Super fun mini golf place for a date night or get-together with friends. My girlfriend and I made a reservation for the all-you-can putt $30 weekend promo. Upon arrival, we were informed that the first floor with the "Amber" 9-hole course and kitchen were unexpectedly closed. Despite that, we had a ton of fun playing the other 3 courses on the second floor. We stopped for drinks at the bar twice between games, there are a ton of places to sit and decompress, and each table had a set of outlets so I was able to charge my phone. All three courses (Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby) we played were very fun, though it was incredibly crowded and we had to wait a long time between each hole. Additionally, some of the holes had defects in their technology, so we had to ask for assistance a few times. The staff, however, were right on it and were super friendly and helpful. The gameplay itself was very fun and interactive - and each of the courses were slightly different. Ruby is definitely the most challenging, so save that one for last! We ended up spending 2 hours here, which called for a great night! read more

The establishment is great on its own - but if you're coming here at peak times like a weekend night, just don't come at all. We came on a Friday night for a group reservation of 4 people and it was TOO BUSY. We waited around 8 minutes EACH hole. it took us more than an hour and a half to complete a single course. INSANE. Majority of the time was waiting. We experienced so many faulty balls that didn't connect in our party and other parties ahead and behind of us which caused more waiting. The party ahead of us were so RUDE. On the tv it clearly indicates that our party is ahead of them, but they proceeded to cut ahead of us. It was so packed and there were so many people. People are not aware of their surroundings and are probably too drunk or just plain rude. It was an uncomfortable standing and waiting around for so long with drunk and rude people behind and in front of you. I don't blame the establishment for the behaviors of their customers, but it'd be great if they could manage reservations better and limit the amount of groups that can go at a time. And also have more staff to fix disconnecting balls. There were so many people that we couldn't even leave the course to find staff. It was so hard to squeeze by people to even get out of the course because everyone was in line for a hole. After playing the course, we wanted to get some food. The tables said we had to find staff to get a menu and order so we went to the bar in hopes to get served there instead. There were 4 of us and we intended to get food and drinks at the bar. Tell me why the people at the bar were so RUDE. Each one of them looked at us and ignored us. We asked one of the servers if we could get a menu and she said we had to find staff and sit at a regular table to get served food. So are we not allowed to look at the food menu at the bar? I ask the bartender for a menu, he doesn't speak to me at all and just hands me the menu and walks away. Like why are they all so rude. Went to Puttshack with my boyfriend the night of the snowstorm for date night. Since it was snowing it wasn't packed, but the last time we came on a Friday it was SLAMMED. We got drinks beforehand just a beer and glass of rose which I was not a fan of. The bartender was pretty attentive, however we noticed other staff members drinking. They were taste testing martinis which we thought was unprofessional and in plain sight. As for the food, I got the pepperoni buzz which was good and my boyfriend enjoyed the thai fried chicken. His only complaint with the fried chicken is that the pieces are so small so some of them were just burnt crisps. Ok seriously this place/concept is awesome! Need this in every major city, perfect rainy/cold day activity indoors. Bars on both floors, kitchen/restaurant, and 3 courses to help balance crowds. Best part - balls are programmed to your username so you don't need to track score/strokes. Just put your ball down/play. How smart! Now for the few notable downsides (and why this isn't 5 stars) - the iPads to book upstairs were not working! Adding one more game to our previous game/reservation was so difficult. Why?! An entire 10 minute process and the girl didn't seem to know much. Fairly sure I got charged by one of the iPads but then it errored out, and I had to restart on another iPad, so I need to call and have that additional charge corrected. We were looking for something to do in Boston during our 24hr layover. After having an amazing lunch at Quincy Market, we took an uber to the nearest mini golf we could find. So they give you an option to buy an unlimited pass or by 18 holes or you pay for nine holes. So I got the unlimited thinking that I would have access to everything unfortunately I didn't because they were having a private event. Which was not advertised on their website. So my reservation was for 7:30. I got there at 7:15 I was allowed to play but only nine holes. Because of the event that was going on upstairs. When I asked to speak to someone about it because I wanted to be reimbursed they told me that I can wait 15 minutes till 8:00 for the party to be over then I can play upstairs. I don't know who wants to take a 15 minute break between already being in the game and just sitting around doing nothing. But I left no complaints no nothing I told him thank you for his solution, at that point what else are you going to argue with he expected me to wait 15 minutes when I feel that that is on the company to figure that out or notified their customers in advance. Other than that it's a lot smaller than Going up I thought but the holes are pretty crafty a couple of them the robotics wasn't working. I didn't have anything to eat or drink because I ate prior to coming. Back to the Future Part II was released in 1989. When I was younger, I loved to see Robert Zemeckis's vision for what the future could look like 26 years later. Alas, we do not have a self-drying jacket, but the technology here is arguably over and above what he could have imagined. This is some of the most technologically advanced mini-golf I have ever seen! The system tracks how many times you've hit the ball, and displays it on the screen above. They also make it fun by adding hazards and bonuses which can help or hurt your score in addition to how many strokes it took to get the ball in the cup. For example: all holes have a green tunnel which gives you a hole in one plus a bonus. For hazards, one of the hole is a true or false game. If you guess incorrectly, you lose points. I love this spin to keep things interesting! The nine holes in a course are also unique and creative in their own ways, each with its specific challenge! There is one with drums, one with ducks, and one of the courses even has a skatepark-like element. However, this is related to one of my critiques. There are three courses, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald IIRC. When booking, there is no option to select your course - I went back and checked. I had the opportunity to play on two of these, and some of the holes were the same (such as true or false), and some were different (the skatepark one, for example). While I can understand the reasoning behind this, some ability to choose would be nice, for I want to try Emerald, and haven't yet. Considering the location and the experience, especially with everything that goes into it, I feel that the prices are reasonable, especially if you get the second game at 1/2 price! read more

Amazing experience with wonderful staff. Had a great time with my nephew. We've never had a mini golf experience that incorporated mini games into their holes; reminds me of Top Golf, but for putt putt. I'd definitely recommend a larger group to enjoy a longer experience with more laughs as the two of us got through 9 holes in about 25 minutes. We tried all three courses and enjoyed there were some differences between them-- wish for a bit more variety in the mini games. read more

After a VERY long day at work, hubby and I decided to try this out. Let me tell you - it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The golf was super fun! We signed up for two "courses" and ended up playing 3 because we were having too much fun. This place is so interactive - the lights along the courses, along with the screens showing scores as you go, are fantastic. Great concept and even better execution!!! But let me tell you about the food and cocktails ... they were just as good as the golf - if not better. We sat at the bar in between rounds and had food. The edamame was delish - the poutine is to DIE for - and the lettuce wraps (with beef) are addicting. The staff and bartenders were incredibly helpful and wonderfully nice! Wow, that sucked. Rainy day in a long weekend so expected it to be full capacity, but what is full capacity. We started at 5 and I'm just about to play hole 2 at 5:30. And the foursome ahead of us gave up and quit. Two problems - they sell T times to too many people but the big holdup is the technology. Each hole is supposed to recognize your ball when you place it on the tee. Not working half the time and nobody around to help. And most holes have obstacles that move or some feature like a prize wheel to earn extra point. Half of these weren't working. Also lots of dirty glasses and empty cans on the drink stands. Such a fun date night activity! I love how this place combines food, drink and mini golf all in one fun modern atmosphere. It's a two story extravaganza with the most modern golf set up I have seen. What a fun thing to do if you've got a little extra time to play a round of 9 holes with a friend or family. It is also a great place to plan a date, or meet up. This place picks up in people as it gets later in the day so I suggest getting a reservation, if you're going after 3 or 4 pm. And that goes for all the other locations of puttshack as well (I've been to a few locations now). They also have 4 different courses, including handicap available courses for those who can't do stairs. Honestly a lot of fun for anyone you'd want to bring. They do serve food and drinks here so it is a good time in a lot of ways. I think this place is a lot more fun with people but you could go alone. read more

My original review is below from Summer 2023, but here is my updated review with some details to add. I still feel the same for the most part. I will add that parking around the premises is nearly impossible. There are paid garages that easily charge you $20+ to park. The atmosphere of the establishment is definitely a vibe and as far as food, this is somewhere you'd want to eat light and not heavy. It's a fun place to at least visit once, and on my second time back, I can share that it's not worth another visit. --------------------- I love the concept of the courses while golfing, they had cute themes and a nice variety, but the courses a really short. Your ball is tracked digitally so you don't have to keep track on your own score which is such a cool concept! I hope they invest more into extended these courses, but in my opinion it is not worth the value of playing. I don't see myself returning to play again, but I will check to see if there are any changes periodically that might bring me back. As far as the food & service. The customer service is nice! Everyone is friendly and will help if you have questions. The food is expensive. Personally when the starters/ appetizers are just as expensive as the actual entree, you might as well make them entrees. Much cooler than expected! My husband and I came here on a Sunday afternoon with some friends. We made reservations online in advance, and it's a good thing we did as the place was packed! Everyone gets a ball that has their name electronically attached to it, so when you put your ball down to play, your name pops up on the screen. The ball also keeps your score electronically. Each station has a little table next to it so you can put down your drink, phone, etc. while you play. We didn't eat here, but there was plenty of open space with tables and a big bar next to the golfing area.
