    Blackberry lemonade
    Emily B.

I'm so glad I found this place because it's super cute! There's so much to do like chess, checkers, pickleball and so much more. They have a tent for some snack food like popcorn and pretzels and a bar with some nice cocktails. I had the Tito's blackberry lemonade which was alright, a little watered down and super light on the vodka The swings are a huge highlight for me as well as the nice big Adirondack chairs places all over. My only issue is the entrance and exit are kinda confusing. Yes I'm not a Bostonian but I found it super inconvenient that to leave and go back to the main road, I had to go ALL around the back and do a huge circle. Just could be advertised better as the signs are also very small.

What a fun space. Super happy that our hotel was nearby and we could play on the lawn for free. I loved the overall concept and atmosphere created with games, music and other fun activities.

I live across the street and never go here. The swings are gone (Summer 2024) and replaced by this alien / UFO centerpiece 'thing' that you can't anything with other than admire from a distance. I think they should bring back the swings.

A cool hangout space with live music and plenty of activities for the kids. I tried a couple of food options: the pulled pork sandwich was bad, the carnitas tacos were ok. I did like the chocolate chip cookies which were reasonable for $3. I did not like the surprise 23% admin fee added on the bill though, seemed excessive and wasn't advertised.

Sropped by prior to opening seeing we were staying at the Element across the street. The night before it was closed for a private event. Lots of activities and concessions. Check their social media for their listing of events. Cool spot!

How cool is this place? They have live music, light up swings, drinks, food, corn hole, and ping pong. Am I missing anything? Probably. This is a super chill place to hang out with friends, family or to go on a date. My inner child was freaking out over the light up swings and the ping pong tables.

Came here this summer to see Blue Man Group audition and the Blue Man Group perform at the end. That, I loved. However, the venue itself? No friggin' shade in such an expansive piece of real estate for a concert (or, rather, the only shade to be had was from the central sound system tent's casting its shadow...) Blehhhh....nuff said.

The Lawn is a super cool idea and it was great to come here to hang out and relax. My girlfriend and I played corn hole and bocci. The swings were really cool and surprisingly comfortable. I ordered a Southie-Rita which was alright. Would definitely love to come back at night.

This is a great playground for both kids and Adults! That's right! For all you adults who are still a kid at heart, this place is right for you. There was a band when I came to Lawn on D and they were playing great music under the tent. Here at the tent you could also buy food and drinks(this is where being an adult kicks in). They have some great beer from local breweries and they have some great crafter cocktails. I was a bit hungry so I got the burger which was pretty good, but I still liked the beer better :) I then shimmied over to the outside where the historic swings are located. They can fit up to 2 people not too comfortably, but what kid wants somebody else on their swing? I know I don't! They also have some cornhole and a giant Jenga so there are many options and I promise that you won't get bored. If you wait till night you'll see the swings glow which was super neat to see. This is a cool hangout spot and it's definitely a good time.

Lawn on the D is a great spot to come with friends to chill or even on a date. It's a free outdoor area with lots of games and cute instagrammable swings that light up at night. There's also a tent that serves snacks and drinks but you can also just bring food and picnic on the lawn if you want. There's plenty of big versions of games such as connect four and jenga along with ping pong tables and other things. It's a really chill spot.

Cheese burger. Bacon tasted like rubber.

Tonight after our dinner we enjoyed walking through here and Boston Public Gardens for a good 1.5 hrs catching up with our daughter. There was a growing crowd of happy people (families and children too) cheering the Iraq World Cup team who will play their first match tomorrow against Norway here in Boston. About a dozen Boston police were watching from the sidelines on their motorbikes and I prayed all would stay peaceful. Meanwhile, pedestrians, dog walkers, families were enjoying the fresh cool evening amidst the grandiose trees, lawns, ducks, fountains, and historic statues. Boston Commons is a normal urban park in some ways with a playground for kids, a pond, park benches, a carousel, baseball stadium, and food vendors. It's also part historic park with monuments including one of the 54th Civil War all black regiment, a plaque saying this is the oldest park in America and others. It's also a part of the Freedom Trail. There's also a small cemetery in the park. The park is both busy and relaxing. It's smaller than I expected but that may just be because it felt like I went through it quickly. Time flies when you are having fun so maybe distance does too. Boston Commons is a must stop on any trip to Boston.
