This was such an amazing experience!! We had the absolute best time! First off, the interior is beautiful! They've done a great job with the decor of the space the entire environment is stunning!! They start you off with a tasty welcome drink made by the class teacher (which was delish!!) along with a selection of cheese & charcuterie. When it's time for class to begin, the setup is great with everything you need to make the cocktails! I took the classic cocktail making class where we made 4 drinks (Apple Jack old fashioned, speakeasy bee's knees, classic espresso martini and pineapple jalapeño whiskey sour). All were so delicious! (And I don't usually like whiskey or mezcal but I loved these) They also teach you so much about different liquors, qualities, history and more and they turn it into a fun trivia competition between each other to see who can answer the most questions which was so fun! Would absolutely recommend

Had my first class a few weeks ago and loved it!! I truly had (and made) such great cocktails, with tweaks and twists of flavors I wouldn't have known I would like together at all if it weren't for this class! The set up was so cool, there were so many things involved, and I really enjoyed how there was always something to do or listen to. Learned a lot and shared great mems. Can't wait for another class!

Friday night attending a cocktail making class at DrinkMaster is so much fun! Learning how to make cocktails with a group of enthusiastic people made it even more enjoyable!

The Craft Cocktail Class was so different and fun. I didn't know what to expect going into it, but I can absolutely say I learned a lot of interesting history and some surprising techniques for building a layered drink that is absolutely delicious! The rest of the group was friendly and it was nice how everyone was interested and engaged. Great vibes all around.

You intend on becoming a bartender. To be clear, I am explicitly excluding what some people call "mixologists" (where that term isn't yet passé). I mean, you'll be armed with the fundamental knowledge and skills to serve booze. Mostly to patrons who couldn't tell you (and probably don't care about) the difference between a daiquiri and a mai tai. 2. You're looking for a fun social activity to do. This could be with a significant other as a date, or with a group of friends that are interested in expanding their drink knowledge beyond Bud Light and Irish Car Bombs. Plus, you get the added bonus of becoming TIPS certified in case you decide to pursue a profession in bartending. The morning TIPS course is, by nature, somewhat dry and technical. Our instructor did a fine job with offering enough participant engagement and real-world anecdotes to spice things up. There's really only so much you can do to make a video-led instruction fun. For the "mixology" portion of the day, you'll actually get some hands-on application with speed pours and you'll experience what it's like to get behind a bar. You'll learn some information (or misinformation, in some cases) about alcohol products and their history. And finally, you'll get to practice slinging a number of classic cocktails. And by "classic cocktails" I mean "colored water mixtures at the same proportions that classic cocktails would be." That's right, folks. You will touch zero real booze products during your class here. Caveat emptor. All in all, it's a day of socializing and gabbing about drinking. And anyone who's against either of those activities is straight-up unpatriotic in my book.

The course instructor told us stories from his experiences throughout the lesson. We also had a few people volunteer to role play some of the instances. The mixology component was a ton of fun. Don't do it. 350…read moredollars (2005 price) later, you will neither feel that you have been through any type of school whatsoever...nor will you be a bartender. The program involves semi-abusive training in "classic bahhhh" from a cranky old missus who insisted that the classiest restaurant in Boston was a steakhouse that saw its heyday out in the '70s along with the disco era and angeldust. We barely practiced with the fake range of liquors behind a fake bar. The missus and her bartender slaves did teach us how to eyeball a liquid ounce into a highball glass full of ice, but I think I inadvertently mastered that during freshman year of college. The most interesting part was learning about all the different families of hard liquors and their manifestations in cocktails that no one has ordered since the first James Bond movies came out...but this is an education that can be gained from the local library or some light googling if you have a passion for booze. One other slight value to the course was bar safety training. For some reason, it was the first time I realize that bartenders intentionally ignore your demands for more drinks if you've been given the "red light" (can't pick change off of the table, excessively friendly to waitstaff - hahaha). This has changed my worldview to some extent as I now mask any effects of alcohol if I want to get more. But anyway, if you want to become a bartender, you have to beat the streets and get lucky or get lucky and know someone who has an in. Then, you learn on the job. I'm sure this is common knowledge, but in case anyone was as naive as I was in the summer of 2005...because this 4th floor center is all too cleverly located near I-93 to capture the "tuitions" of country mice...

You watch a home made wine video which tells you to pour "about this much into a glass" and doesn't give specifics, and you watch an old budweiser video on how to pour a beer. The classroom itself is outdated. The teacher also tells you one thing, then does another because "she has a ton of experience" so she feels she doesn't need to show everyone the right way. The worst part is they advertise that they can get you a job when you graduate but you don't get any follow up emails or phone calls. I have emailed my instructor multiple times and have not heard back. Save your money and do not go to this school. You can learn the same thing from flash cards at your home.
