They thought of everything! There were even some snacks (cheese, meats, and focaccia) to start and the water and soft drinks were free. It was set for 5 couples but one didn't show. My husband didn't know anyone before hand but quickly chatted and talked em with everyone. The pace of everything was great. We made dessert first. Then we made the salad with from scratch burrata cheese, marry me chicken and homemade fresh pasta. It was truly the best experience. The dessert was a layered red velvet cup with mascarpone cheese. It was heaven! The class was hands on and the staff were all so friendly. The space was clean and welcoming. Two bathrooms were inside the kitchen area. The menu can change per class so be sure to book what you like best. They offer a variety of classes and is not just for couples if you do the classic cooking class. Worth the price, hands down. So glad we came here and got to experience this. We will be back for sure!

We got demos for everything that wasn't made by us but enjoyed the foods that our chef chose for us to make, such as the burrata! We had wine, cheese, meat, and focaccia when we got there and made our dessert, burrata, and pasta before assembling the whole meal. There was plenty of food to take home and we left stuffed! Our class happened at the start of a snow storm so only about 14-16 out of 20 people came which helped create a more intimate setting.

Holy shit, what a gas... As part of our social engagement…read morefor work. We were designated to go on a bus tour of the Boston scene. Not necessarily the usual Boston, the underground Boston. Mobsters and Lobsters is a mafia story laden trip that ends up at the south shore popular lobster eatery. Although Mother Nature and the traffic in downtown Boston decided yo play games with us the owner who's name actually is Tom Collins, started off with a quick quip yo get the folks settled and the first round of beverages were begun. Tom brings us around to the spectacular locations and spots where specific mobsters from the years past were doing their cunning and not so cunning work. Tom's knowledge for this thoroughly interesting topic is unmatched. His serious knowledge of the history of other significant historical places and events speckled with his dry "Bastan" humor. Made this trip extremely worthwhile. The duration was four hours long which also included a Lobster dinner at a local eatery on the south Boston harbor. I haven't laughed this hard in a long while. If you are in beantown for a spell. I highly recommend you and you motley crew join Tom for an interesting alcohol added trip back in time. I am positive your jaws and cheeks will be sore from laughing so hard. Be aware this is an "R" rated trip! But very worth it. Thanks Tom for making this a great memorable evening.

I've done three of their tours, the one at Museum of Fine Arts (why does the boy mummy wear gold…read morelipstick?) the one throughout Backbay and the one throughout the North End. As a Boston native, this made what i thought I already knew, new. It was, in 2 instances. a fun competition between business colleagues, and in the 3rd a fun day out with my grown niece. I highly recommend, great fun!

Today I had a truly lovely talk with CCA Teansport. First of all, Diane D (I asked for her name so I could write a review) was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and up to the task of me changing my mind about when I wanted to depart about four times in a row. She booked four rides for me within minutes and then I asked her if there was any chance CCA had airport transportation. I have tickets for two concerts this week in Virginia, and I was so hoping to go because the singer on tour will likely never tour again, but I was having a great deal of difficulty getting a ride into Boston Logan. Diane was so happy to help and got me a ride immediately. I have recently been dealing with a great deal of pain and I haven't been treated very well , especially in hospitals, by some of the doctors and nurses. I was just released from the hospital this past Wednesday. To talk to someone like Diane today, who made me feel like a real person rather than another number, was truly heartening. It was everything I needed. I'd like to thank her from the bottom of my heart. And thanks to CCA, for hiring someone so skilled in customer service.

Deep Dive--"Atlantis Rising" Provides a Watery Challenge!…read more Hello, everyone! Christian Krenek, the Dauphin d'Escape Rooms, is back with another review! I first heard that PanIQ was opening a location in Boston back in September of 2021, and gathered some friends (all escape room and puzzling pros!) to head there in March of '22 for my birthday (and 35th room total!). We chose "Atlantis Rising," a deep-sea adventure. Your goal is twofold: make your way into the sunken city of Atlantis, and then recover whatever treasure you can find inside. The room design is top-notch, especially because the space is relatively small. The Atlantis section is particularly well-done, with mood lighting and mysterious underwater sounds. Our group did have a slight problem seeing some of the effects, which is intentional (it's murky in the sea!). It might help to bring along a flashlight! The best part of any escape room, though, is the puzzles, and PanIQ did NOT disappoint on that front. I was particularly impressed by the number of tactile puzzles in the room--lots of hands-on and interactive challenges. PanIQ also does a good job of making sure that there multiple puzzles to work on at once, thus avoiding bottlenecks and getting people stuck. It CAN be overwhelming--the room is a full sensory experience--but there are plenty of opportunities for breaks if you need them! My only advice to potential players: go with a small group. We had six adults ranging in size from small to large, and the room only holds seven--and speaking frankly, at times we felt the crunch! :p I think this room would be ideal for a group of three or four players, but we still had a blast with six, so don't let that discourage you. If you DO go with a big group, though, be ready to split up and tackle multiple challenges! All in all, our trip to the depths was a success (we escaped with 15 minutes to spare--that's 29 wins, 6 losses for me!), and we're excited to return to PanIQ to see what their remaining three games have in store. Until then, have fun, everyone!

Probably my one of my least favorite escape room of the many Ive done…read more We did The Red Wire room, ranked as medium difficulty but is definitely intermediate. Game master gave us hints over the loud speaker unprompted/unasked and spoiled the game multiple times for us. Like dude, just give us a second. An incredibly important unlock is done by pulling on the decor, which we were instructed not to do, so he had to tell us to do it. The climatic end puzzle didn't work because the technology didn't work. We figured it out, did it right but it didn't say it was correct. So we spent the next almost 10 minutes trying to figure it out a different way only to be told that we just needed to do it slower and we were correct. Like what?? To improve this room: 1. Provide paper (needed to keep track of numbers, if you did this room you know exactly what I mean) 2. Label it as intermediate the puzzle alone is reason enough but oh my god- I wouldn't spoil it because that's rude but there were multiple times that it was INSANE like the "" puzzle was actually the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. 3. Fix the tech or at least provide the needed info: If a code needs to be typed in slowly, say that. One of the code input screens you barely had the ability of a touch screen so you had to slam your finger into it. 4. If your room is so dysfunctional that your game master is forced to give unprompted hints, that's a sign to get back to the drawing board. What I will say is this game had two very impressive technical aspects, sadly they were part of two extremely difficult puzzles but still, impressive. Overall, for the hefty price and very high ratings this place has, we were extremely disappointed and honestly angry. We have done around 12 escape rooms as a group and have never been through one so dysfunctional and disjointed, with a Game Master who actively ruined our game but was also forced too at some points due to the room's issues. Thank god I brought some good friends so at least the company was enjoyable. Refund wanted for sure.
