Our friend told us about the free Wednesday night shows so we decided to check it out! You have to get there a bit early. The lobby doors open at 7 and people wait in the lobby until the theater doors open and then you go in and it's open seating. We sat in the seats along the back wall on the second row so we had a good view and yet not right in front. The show was great - I'm always amazed at how the actors take topics from the audience and build the show around them. They were all really good! There's an intermission and restrooms are right in the lobby. We did SpotHero parking at a nearby lot which was about a 10 minute walk from the venue so not bad. Afterwards we just walked a bit further down over to Bova bakery, since we were in North end might as well! It was a nice warm summer night. Overall a great time was had by all!

The Yacht offers private sailing around the Boston Harbor with amazing views, perfect for those romantic candid wedding photos. The Event Coordinator was extremely helpful from the beginning, helping to walk us through our options and ensuring that we had everything personalized down to the last detail. The food was delicious and we had a great variety. I especially appreciated how quick they were to accommodate any dietary redirections and made special arrangements for the children to have chicken fingers. I had around 90 guests and we were all blown away with the quality of the food and the service. It was abundantly clear the thought and consideration that went in to helping us plan this special day. Having our wedding on the Elite was such unique experience and we are positive it left a lasting impression with our guests. We played giant Jenga and Cornhole on the top deck as we enjoyed each others company while snacking on passed appetizers. The top deck is the ideal spot for us to take wedding photos as well as a perfect place for our guests to take their own photos of the Boston skylines. As if on cue, immediately after our dinner was served a rainbow glowed over the boat while a stunning sunset eased us into a night that we wished would never end. I would highly recommend choosing the Elite Yacht for your wedding venue if you want to have a wedding night that you and your guests will never forget!

I came here and on a client appreciation party and although everyone was polite. There is vast amount of improvement to be made. To be clear, I will do the pros and cons. Pros: The interior of the cabin boat look was fine. The dining room was standard. And the space and the views were great. The chairs outside on the deck were appropriate for the type of boat, but this was more a place of capacity versus full luxury. Staff was polite. The Cons: There had to be 50 people on board and there's only one bartender. We shouldn't have a line and why aren't the drinks being passed like champagne. I don't know who chose the music, but the audience were primarily 78 years old...let's put a little bit more elegant shall we? Not everyone everyone's gonna be into classic rock. Although I appreciate history while the captain speaking, he spoke a lot during dinner and it was a little bit too loud while we were eating and chatting. Moreover, we couldn't see anything because it's dark out... a little annoying . This is not that type of cruise... not necessary. The food was horrible. It levels with bad cafeteria food. It was buffet style with a selection of brussels sprouts and a salad next to tilapia fish, chicken and prime rib. They basically piled on all the protein on top of each other so I took what was the best thing which was the beef which was OK they had fingerling potatoes. They were pretty much bland and this is what killed me literally was the uncooked brussels sprouts which I mentioned to the catering manager I had one bite. It was bitter. Tried to spit it out, but there were no napkins so I elegantly swallowed it and regretted it. That's a good indicator that was uncooked, and that set off the whole vomitous journey for me. Yes I got sick in the bathroom and got sick at home with extreme stomach pains. Even though it wasn't necessarily food poisoning, it was pretty much a horrible experience that set the tone and thank God it was actually in the end of the night. Couldn't wait to leave the boat. Table setting as fine except I had a dirty fork and I showed it to the catering manager.... Seriously? The service was OK, but they need more training. Firstly, there shouldn't be one bartender when you have people on board. There was a line. This was a client appreciation party. This should make the guest welcome not like we're standing in line on a booze cruise. Second of all it was passed hors d'oeuvres where fine but when you offer shrimp cocktail, there needs to be more elegance. It was served with a huge mound which looked incredibly unappetizing and this is not really how you should serve shrimp cocktail you might as well just leave it on the side of people to get themselves because the presentation was plain horrible. They also had spanakopita and sirloin beef and toast and it was served to me when the toast and beef was fallen apart, so I said "no"and Moroccan chicken, which are probably the most decent things but again not the best. The bathrooms were decent for the boat, but the toilet was broken because he was barely flushing. That's pretty much my experience about a this client appreciation party, but there needs a lot of improvement. This is not worthy of the name elite. If you're going to be elite, it has to be very exclusive and honestly, I just went to a party on the Spirit of Boston and it was on the third deck below and their buffet had a nice carving station and the presentation was far more superior. Also nice that they included a DJ on a dance floor. It is not my interest to tear down an already established business, but I just believe that the name Spirit Elite should match the hospitality standards . There is room for improvement.

Working with Rafi on setting up the event flow and discussing the details was super helpful and one of the few non-tedious aspects of orchestrating what felt like a wedding weekend! The entire team who were on site were phenomenal -- engaging, happy, helpful and fun for all our guests. We had a big group... 40 kids, 50 people around our (parents) generation, and about 30 in the grandparents generation, and people from each group commented about how awesome it was to have entertainment that was actually fun for people of all ages. We had the jigsaw puzzle maker, and people got to take home nice keepsakes, and we also had the escape room, which was a lot of fun! Kids were able to be successful at it, and it also challenged parents (I say this from experience!) We are grateful we don't have to plan another brit mitzvah, but if we did, we wouldn't hesitate to book Eureka again!

I want to separately say that having Rafi as a partner in event planning was invaluable - he came to the venue prior to the event, met with us several times, provided numerous suggestions and advice (on timing, music, highlights, etc.) and coordinated with the venue, caterers and photographer. I had my wedding reception at the George Dilboy VFW Hall on August 1, 2009, and it turned out…read moregreat. My husband and I had a small budget for our wedding, but wanted to find a place we could celebrate with about 75 people that would be close to our neighborhood. I had made all of the arrangements with Pat, the Manager of the VFW, and she was a really nice older woman who helped with the contract and getting the caterer set-up. I think we paid about $300 to rent the hall for 4 hours, and we put a deposit of $250 for the cash-bar, which is refundable if your guests spend at least that much through out the night. There are also hooks all along the walls that you can use to hang things for decorations, but there are limitations on what can be put up, or taken down, since it is a VFW. The hall is surprisingly nice (I didn't know what to expect for a VFW) and there is a small stage at the front for the DJ. They also provide standard round tables, rectangular tables, and chairs for events, at no extra costs, which was super nice. There was a good size bar at the back of the hall, with reasonable prices for drinks, and a small kitchen that the caterer could use to prep for the wedding before hand. The only thing I wish was that the hall could be entered from the front of the building instead of the back, because the front entrance is quite pretty, but the back entrance leads to a darkish hall-way that smells of cigarette smoke permeating from the bar downstairs. Once you are inside the hall, though, everything is great, and the price can't be beat, since it's close to public transportation and has plenty of parking in the lot out back.

I know the commander well and neither he nor the bar manager (who both process applications) would ever say something like that. They welcome all new veterans with open arms and, unlike the last commander, have instituted a policy of paying your dues if you're still serving. We also do NOT have a family and wife chapter. There is a Ladies Auxiliary and Associate Membership. EDIT: Better late than never edit responding to ST, There is no one in our front office named "Paul". This was brought up at the meeting held after I saw this review as well and there is no Paul on the Board of Directors or in any command/leadership position that is ever in the front office. Furthermore, they are not working to bar non-pro war groups from marching. The first review smacks of some sort of troll/wank. I am female, a veteran, a full fledged member and I attend meetings and am part of the voting process at this post. And I have to say, I'm pretty pissed that this crock of BS is still on here.
