No one came over for quite a while so I had to go ask someone for menus and service. Our beer was good we got Old Dog Brown from Smuttynose Brewing Company--it's was smooth. I liked my cheesesteak bomb sandwich, it was a good size and I liked the homemade cheese wizz sauce. Fries were good too! My boyfriend liked his Fish Tacos. Overall it was a pleasant experience and cozy inside although a little chaotic. Only thing was service was lacking even though they were friendly, they took a while to come over until I asked for service.

This is a classic Boston neighborhood bar with a typical Irish look and feel. Comfortable, casual, and exactly what you expect. Good setup to grab a drink and a quick bite before heading out. I ordered a burger and a couple of IPAs. My girlfriend had a wrap and a Chardonnay or two. Everything was solid. Not standout food, but close enough. What we ordered did the job and fit the setting. Service was friendly and attentive. Our waitress even called us "love," which added to the experience. Overall, this was a solid visit. Good location, easy vibe, and reliable food and drinks. I would definitely use this spot again before heading to a game. GO PATS!

Our waitress, Caoimhe "Kwee-va," was truly a standout and made this a 5/5 experience. It is so rare to have such caring, attentive service nowadays and we were absolutely blown away by her. Music by Caeltish was great!

We walked into a space where the walls are covered with photos of artists and music memorabilia, while dim lighting, packed tables, and frequent live performances give the restaurant a distinctly neighborhood feel. Whether stopping in for a casual drink or staying for an evening of music, the experience centers around the performances happening just a few feet away. The menu leans heavily into Irish pub comfort food with generous portions and hearty classics. We tried the Guinness Beef Stew and the Shepherd's Pie, both of which delivered rich flavors and exactly what you would expect from a solid Irish restaurant. Other popular items on the menu include curry fries, clam chowder, burgers, and traditional pub fare designed to pair naturally with a pint. The comfort food favorites consistently stand out, while opinions on some other menu items may vary. Service is friendly and welcoming, even on busy nights when the venue fills up for performances. The staff handles both diners and music crowds with ease, helping maintain a relaxed atmosphere despite the constant activity. Live entertainment is clearly a major part of the identity here, with regular performances ranging from Irish sessions and jazz to open mic nights and other local acts. For a neighborhood pub near Berklee that delivers on both hearty Irish food and live music, The Bebop offers a warm, energetic experience built around community and performance.

From the moment we approached him, his attitude toward us was unnecessarily hostile, and the entire interaction was honestly baffling. Without any reasonable explanation, he decided to kick our entire group out because he supposedly "didn't think we were 21," despite the fact that every single one of us had valid, government-issued IDs proving otherwise. We are all dental students who moved to Boston from different states, so naturally, our IDs are not issued in Massachusetts. The bartender then claimed that he only accepts Massachusetts IDs, which was particularly frustrating considering he had already served several of our other friends who were sitting separately from us, none of whom had Massachusetts IDs either. The inconsistency in his reasoning made the entire situation even more upsetting. I have never experienced being kicked out of a bar simply because my valid ID was issued in another state, especially when that same supposed rule was clearly not being enforced for everyone else. Whether he was having a bad night or simply decided he didn't want to serve us, there was absolutely no excuse for the way we were treated. What should have been a fun night out turned into an unnecessarily embarrassing and frustrating experience. As customers, we shouldn't have to wonder why we're being singled out or treated with such blatant disrespect when we've done absolutely nothing wrong. I will absolutely not be returning, and I would strongly discourage others from wasting their time here. There are plenty of great pubs in the area with welcoming staff who actually know how to treat their customers with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.

Although the game didn't end well, we had fun here. Lots of tvs throughout and a chill vibe overall. We ordered at the bar and the guy brought it over to us. I got a Sam Seasonal Oktoberfest and my boyfriend got a sun cruiser. I then ordered the steak and cheese with fries. It was really tasty but a little small. My boyfriend got the Honey Dripper crispy chicken sandwich. He was recommended this by the bartender--he loved it! Good recommendation!! Overall it was fun to be surrounded by sox fans to watch the game, and enjoy good food and drink. I loved all the neon signs and decor! I wish tvs were a little larger in size but it worked. I would come back!

Throughout our 2-3 hours there, we ordered truffle fries and 2 pitchers of mich ultra, one of the lightest and cheapest beers sold at any bar. Much to our surprise, our total for those 3 simple items were in excess of $90+ (which for reference, the fries were $12). This means, EACH pitcher of mich ultra was anywhere from $38-$40. Needless to say, this pricing is egregious, and we were completely shocked to see it on the bill. This was after we were kindly offered to be checked out from the table, so the bartender took my card back to the back to run it before bringing it back and presenting us with this surprise. Now, I am not one to leave reviews in general, and usually if I leave any, they are positive - due to fantastic or above-average food/dining/service/hospitality etc. Unfortunately, this is not one of those times. I will say, for what we had food-wise, the fries were delicious - although, this incredibly high differential in cost we were charged, for one of the notoriously cheaper beers in any bar, left me no choice but to bring it to light. I'm aware this is Boston, and I know F&B is at a higher cost today than in times prior in most bars and restaurants. But - with comparisons for the same pitcher of beer around the area ranging between $22-$26 per pitcher, the obvious is left to be seen.
