I was meeting people here, otherwise I'd never heard of this place. I'd recommend having a bigger sign outside - with the number of people that walk by, it might attract more people to come in. They also provided us with recommendations of things to get. We ordered mostly drinks and appetizers. The food was good and arrived warm. However, there was no parking nearby

A friend recommended it to me as a fun place to dance salsa and bachata. I didn't know there were places like this in Boston. We went in and paid a cover fee at first. They start off with a class to teach basic techniques. It gave everyone a welcome feel to learn the steps and practice dancing with others. Then they open the floor for everyone to come in and dance. You are more relaxed at that point because you have learned the steps and already danced with most of the people there. It was great to meet several girls that I probably wouldn't have even talked to without the class. I love bachata so it was great to get in the moment again. The price was great for the class and a fun open dance floor afterwards. I enjoyed my time and will definitely be back next week.

I guess everyone is a beginner at some point! I hope to go back and improve my skills!

Since my dad and I are both club members we were seated in the members dining area which had a more quiet atmosphere with only a few tables set up. The staff was extremely friendly and quick to serve. I think this was definitely the best dining experience I had on my trip. Appetizer: - I tried an octopus appetizer and my dad got the clam chowder. I could tell he loved the clam chowder since it was devoured withing minutes and my octopus was grilled to perfection and wasn't too chewy in texture. We also ordered wine and I found it a bit funny this place had white claw on the menu so had to order one of those as well:) Entree: Crab stuffed Lobster- This was the wow factor of dinner! This was basically a crab cake on top of a lobster but was delicious and super flavorful. The presentation of the dish was already impressive and left my stomach very happy. Dessert: - I had the flour less chocolate cake which was satisfying but like any other flour less chocolate cake you can have. My dad tried the apple crisp which was delicious- crispy and very fresh. Overall, the staff was helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. I feel privileged to have dined at this classy establishment and hope I can enjoy the great views and food again in the future.

Maybe it's the mid-1980's decor that has not been updated? Anyways, the only thing this place has going for them is the lovely city views from the 36th floor. The buffet had the tiniest burger sliders I've ever seen, but also some of the biggest shrimp cocktail and plenty of oysters. The passed hors d'oeuvres were tiny clam cakes, tiny lobster fritters and tiny mac & cheese balls. Overall they tasted fine/average, but I was really surprised at the small serving sizes. I think there are definitely better event venues in the city...

A group of serious businessmen…read moreand women sitting around a long conference table, in suits, giving speeches mostly about their work, or their own life (albeit in a resume-format). It was dull, uptight, and inclusive. Boston Toastmasters could not be farther from that! I attended a few meetings as a guest initially in May 2013, and much to my surprise, it was a youthful, upbeat, and incredibly diverse club. No dress attire (though it doesn't hurt when you're giving a speech), job (many clubs are only for certain companies), or experience required. Most meetings draw crowd of 40-70 people, including a plethora of guests. People of all ages, races, statuses and styles, yet everyone is incredibly supportive of each other and their respective journeys to improve their public speaking skills. Many come just to listen to speeches! All the club officers are very welcoming and run the meetings and club smoothly and efficiently. There are opportunities to socialize after the meeting when a large group heads to Cornwall's in Kenmore Square, as well as informal group dinners and picnics open to members and their significant others. Whether you are looking to nail that wedding toast, give a great presentation at work, or even just work up the courage to speak for a single minute during Table Topics (a portion of the meeting where even guests can participate), then Boston Toastmasters can be, and wants to be, for you.

(Any more than anyone from here would expect decent Chowder in San Diego.) My local friend chose this place, and I couldn't be more impressed. It started with this amuse-bouche, which was this frozen grapefruit treat that they poured some tequila on top of. (I uploaded a video of it.) We ordered a Red Crab Aguachile, Habanero Chicken Rancho Quesadilla, and Beef Gorditas. I would describe all of them as Mexican-inspired. They took the flavors and ingredients of Mexican cuisine, and then ran with them. Nothing was "familiar," per se. That is to say, if you're looking for Authentic Mexican cuisine, I'd suggest coming over to my place. :) But this food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was super helpful, giving us plenty of time to order and consider the menu, there when we needed him, and didn't rush us to finish. The vibe in there is super warm, with some interesting decor. My friend said it was a little louder than normal because of a private party that was happening.
