I had a great night out at improv asylum! Very entertaining and well run show. I appreciated the reasonable prices and options for drinks and snacks. Super cool that your ticket also works as a voucher for a free espresso martini shooter at Umbria afterward! Great value for a fun night out

Absolutely hilarious. I saw the improv show on a Thursday night by myself. I bought tickets at the door and was let downstairs to where the stage theater area is. They have a bar in the back and the staff was very friendly. The improv comedians are amazing. I'm always so impressed at people who can do improv, because it requires intelligence, timing and quick thinking. They took audience prompts and suggestions to build the plots and situations of their skits. I laughed so hard.It was very therapeutic. Highly recommend.

When we first got here, we realized that we bought tickets for the wrong night. However, the staff was so accommodating that we were able to buy another set of tickets for that night and get a refund for the ones we bought. The show itself was funny! I love how quick the actors are on thinking on their feet. There are some skits that are scripted while the others are completely improv with audience participation/suggestion. They do a lot of that, so be prepared to be a part of the show, at least to the extent of shouting out some suggestions. I thought it was cool they had costumes and props to help elevate the scenes (don't worry, no spoilers here) What's nice about the "stage" is that it's right in front of you. The audience is seated in 4 sections to create a square and inside that square is where all the actors are. It gives it a very intimate feel, so even though there may be 200 other people in the room, it doesn't feel that way. The seats themselves are pretty comfy, they're standard metal folding chairs with a cushion for your butt. The bar is fully stocked and I love the seasonal drinks they had to offer. I got the "Witch, Please" (picture attached with other options) Overall, this is a really cute date night filled with lots of laughs

Awesome show as always! The cast is amazing and it's a great idea for date but fair warning the manager is a jerk.

A little disappointing. Maybe an off night. Drinks were fine. Worth the stop if you're in town.

Ask the Community - Improv Asylum

Can we take a 15 year old and a 12 year old to this?

I am pretty sure you can. When I went during their Saturday afternoon show there was a child there who was getting ready to start middle school in a few weeks. Not all of the content was appropriate but I think she made it out okay.

Mobsters and Lobsters is a mafia story laden trip that ends up at the south shore popular lobster eatery. Although Mother Nature and the traffic in downtown Boston decided yo play games with us the owner who's name actually is Tom Collins, started off with a quick quip yo get the folks settled and the first round of beverages were begun. Tom brings us around to the spectacular locations and spots where specific mobsters from the years past were doing their cunning and not so cunning work. Tom's knowledge for this thoroughly interesting topic is unmatched. His serious knowledge of the history of other significant historical places and events speckled with his dry "Bastan" humor. Made this trip extremely worthwhile. The duration was four hours long which also included a Lobster dinner at a local eatery on the south Boston harbor. I haven't laughed this hard in a long while. If you are in beantown for a spell. I highly recommend you and you motley crew join Tom for an interesting alcohol added trip back in time. I am positive your jaws and cheeks will be sore from laughing so hard. Be aware this is an "R" rated trip! But very worth it. Thanks Tom for making this a great memorable evening.

Everyone had so much fun running around Boston, talking to stranger and making complete fools of ourselves (despite the cold and wind, 3/3/18). We all bonded so much through this experience and made so many great memories. Not many of the girls knew each other prior to being bridesmaid together and this brought us so close. It has been weeks and we all can't stop talking about how much fun we had. We're already talking about doing another game with the groomsmen after the bride and groom get back from their honeymoon. 10/10 would recommend for any group outing!

There was a picture of the bride in our challenge books, we all got nametags with our team names on them. 4) You can be super competitive, or you can just have a chill good time. For the shy, know that a big part of it involves talking to lots of strangers. For the not-shy, you'll have a great f'in time. For those of you from here you'll be even more competitive cause you'll know exactly where to go and what kind of strategies to employ. I had just started dating my boyfriend (now husband!) and suggested that we go. While it sounded like the coolest and most fun experience ever, I didn't know what to expect. What I experienced at camp was incredible - fun, friendship, laughter, and an amazing sense of happiness. It truly made me feel like I a kid again, but you know, with an open bar! At camp, you can do anything you want and be whoever you want to be. They have campfires, theme parties, a color war, talent shows, boating, waterskiing, capture the flag, and an epic game of Slip and Flip (for those of you who don't know what that is, it's a slip and slide to a game of flip cup), and while I was skeptical of slip and sliding as an adult, I've finally embraced it and can't wait to play again. We've been to camp for the past three years, and I must say, I love it even more every year. I'm able to completely de-stress, unplug, and unwind, all while spending time with old friends and making new ones! I'm booked for camp this year and I absolutely cannot wait! I couldn't recommend this camp enough.

I attended the Boston Camp No Counselor weekend this past labor day weekend at Camp Caribou…read more I'd been debating attending a CNC weekend since I found out about it around the time of its inception. This year, myself and 3 friends pulled the trigger. CNCs description sounded like something out of your wildest dream. Reliving your youth and camping days while mixing in all of the fun aspects of being an adult, while leaving the boring parts behind. If you were like me, you had doubts. How could it live up? Will it fall short of expectations? Will the cabins suck? Will one bad apple ruin the weekend? What if it rains? Is it worth the money? The following are my honest answers... Yes! It lived up. I was completely impressed with the cabins. Large, clean, individual beds- not bunks, private bathrooms inside as well as a cabin house with toilets and showers. As for the people... 120 people, drinking, partying, playing sports, beer pong... And not one fight all weekend. Shocker right? Everyone was friendly and approachable. We made friends fast. CNC did a great job vetting for this camp. The NonCounselors deserve a special shout out. Jacob our director put on a great show. You know when someone just does a job... And then when someone lives for the job? These people lived it. They truly made the camp a great experience with the right level of order while allowing us plenty of freedom. Well now, what if it rains?... Well, it did. Sunday during our color war. We did it anyways... No one had any complaints. Still a great time and Blue took home the gold! Is it worth the money?... The amount of food, booze, and monster energy drinks we consumed this weekend was worth it alone.... Id hate to see that bar tab. As for the experience... I finally found something that made me forget about work for 3 days... It was a rule. The activities were great, wakeboarding on the lake, and dominating at dodgeball made for an exceptional time. An impromptu games of Kings in the cabin was a great way to break the ice. No one was shy or reserved. We all chatted and it was truly like being a kid again, which is what you'd hope for. In conclusion, The people who already made up their mind to go didnt need to read my review. If you are someone on the fence... I hope our experience helps you to make the decision. We'll be going again. I miss it already. Thanks to the CNC staff again, the camp staff at camp Caribou, and all of the people we met. Camp No Counselors is awesome!
