The rooms are so well designed with so much attention to detail and decoration, you really feel like you are immersed in the story. We had a fun time as a group of 5 completing "The Heist" -- it was definitely a bit of a challenge and they were gracious with their hints, such that we finished with a few minutes to spare. For this particular room, prior to starting, they advised us that we should work separately on puzzles so that we could complete the room in time. While this allowed for a high density of puzzles, it did make for more fragmented play. read more

Booked last minute on a Saturday night for the only a lot available - the body shop. The team was super helpful in making my reservations. When you show up, they have a waiting room with trivia and games to play. We did the body shop which was pretty good, we won but only with the help of our great host. This was our favorite escape room experience. Clean and professional staff and facility. I was a little hesitant about only being a group of 3 in their most challenging room. But the clues are not hidden in ridiculous places. They are a bit obscure but we were definitely challenged. There's a hint screen in every section of each room. Red Fox had been my absolute favorite escape/puzzle room experience to date. I've done all 3 rooms and each of them are unique in the ways they challenge, with the puzzle types varying from room to room while keeping themes to tie them all together. The GM's here are EXCELLENT at their roles, and I want to particularly shout out Xander and David. They are on another level of fun & bonding with their groups- my friend & I are the "passenger princesses" of the escape rooms and Xander was so kindly chatting with us thru the screen while we were a bit useless to the UBoat mission. David was incredibly helpful while also letting my boyfriend and I get to conclusions ourselves. He was also super fun with joking with us through the screen & really made our time special! The Heist was my first escape room experience, and I had a blast! The set dressing was immersive and the puzzle design was fun and well-geared for collaboration with my friends. (There were six of us playing.) Without getting into spoilers, the way some elements came together was so clever and satisfying. I'd especially like to note what a pleasure it was working with Tess as our gamemaster. She did a terrific job drawing us in, guiding us, and bringing a friendly high energy to the game. read more

Came back to do another room, The Heist! And it certainly did not disappoint! In fact, I liked it even better than The U-Boat! Initially, I had been wary since heist concept rooms can be a little overdone. And the premise was similar, a band of robbers looking to pilfer a precious diamond from an art museum. Without revealing any spoilers, I'll say that their version felt like a fresh take on a common theme! We completed the room as a group of 4, with 2 clues, and 7 minutes to spare. If we had been a larger group, I think we could accomplished the room without any hints. It was cool to learn that they are able to toggle the room difficulty based on your in-game performance. This made it just the right level of challenging. I'll certainly be back to try their 3rd room, The Body Shop (with horror themes) in the future! read more

We had an incredibly fun family adventure doing the Body Shop Escape. With a bit of help we made it out with seconds to spare.

This was my first time doing an escape room. The space is well situated and designed. It's welcoming before you even start the room. Our host was a young man, whose name I did not properly catch, who was warm and friendly. He walked us through what to expect (our group was a mix of old hats and novices) and was very encouraging. The room itself, the U-Boat, was well constructed and designed. Red herrings were minimized and our host was helpful with hints when needed. It was difficult without being impossible, intuitive without being obvious. Highly recommend this location, just for the staff, but the rooms really elevate it. read more

The difficulty was well fair but still tough, you get unlimited hints (which I appreciated), and they did some pretty unique stuff that I've never seen before in previous escape rooms. Red Fox was also super accommodating for my group as well, we ran late and they didn't have any issues adjusting our start time. They only have 2 rooms right now with more to come but I'm optimistic if they designed it like they did the U-Boat, it'll be spectacular. read more

He explained things very well and was helpful and generous. The entire place outside the game room was clean and well-designed. The waiting room was comfortable and had games to play. I did the Body Shop game room with one person so whenever we were truly stumped and standing around looking at each other the game room master would drop a hint on the timer screen to give us the momentum to keep going (which I appreciated because it kept the game moving and motivated us). The Heist is my fourth escape room and the only one I managed to crack. We only have two people but the owner adjusted the level of difficulty so it fits a team of two, which makes me really want to go back and try other rooms at red fox. We were also allowed to ask for clues when we feel lost. As a beginner, the sense of achievement is the one true key to remain interest. However, we were never privileged to receive as much consideration and customization in any other escape rooms in greater Boston. The owner of red fox actually cares about our experience and wants us to succeed. I sincerely appreciate that. The Heist is also full of fun with diverse types of puzzles. You will enjoy a full "brain massage" no matter what intellectual challenges you are looking for, even maths! Give it a try, you won't regret it! read more
