The Pawn Shop had a nice variety of puzzles and it was challenging enough that we felt like we all achieved something when we got out. The props were nice and in good condition. The person who greeted us and gave us the instructions was very welcoming and enthusiastic. Booking online was easy. The website says that the game can be for up to 10 people. I don't really agree with that and was glad we were able to book for just 4. I feel like 6 people might still be comfortable - but 10 sounds like.. just a lot. In addition to the game being fun, parking was super easy with spots out front and a private lot in back. I hope we can go back and give the Secret Lab a whirl!

Be ready to run, sweat, jump, crawl, and climb - I have bruises on my legs lol The rooms are really immersive - if you're in a jail themed room you can expect low lighting and crawlspaces. If you're in an army themed room you can expect to be speedy, climbing, or seeing flashing lights. The door colors tell you the level of physical activity so you can just do chill mental challenges if you wanted to. Two parts of each room - figure out the objective, and then actually complete it. If you fail you can exit the room and line up for it again (it goes quick) or go to another room. You can also ask a worker for hints. It gets hot in there quickly if you're doing physical activity challenges (some rooms are hotter and smellier than others) - but there are drinking fountains on the main level and fans blowing in the hallways. Make sure to wear comfortable activewear and shoes!

Since it was our first escape room, we chose Cosmic Crisis, and I think it was the perfect introduction. The staff was amazing, especially the general manager. He greeted us, explained everything, and made us feel confident going into our mission. I'm SO glad they offer unlimited hints because we definitely needed them! We used the entire 60 minutes and literally finished with only seconds left on the clock. The space was also very clean and well maintained, which made the experience even better. It's located in a mall plaza, so there's plenty of parking, lots of stores, and food options nearby. Overall, such a fun experience. This seemed like more of a low-budget, amateur place compared to the others. We did 20,000 leagues and I was shocked when I walked into the room because it looked like a file room with a couple of wall decorations. You didn't get the feeling you were trapped miles under the sea. The puzzles were tedious (including having to do math and read a map with tiny print) and not intuitive. Some of the puzzles, such as the math puzzle had "run rules" that you needed to know (and could only find out by asking for a hint) in order to solve it. There were way too many combination lock/open the box puzzles. Other places have things like chessboards where you need to put the pieces in the right place, books that you need to pull out in the right order, etc. This room had only a couple of non-lock puzzles. It was also just a single room, so no secret doors or passages. The staffer was in the room with us, which was odd and took away from the experience. This is definitely not a room I would do with kids because there's no way they would be able to solve 95% of the puzzles. Also not a place I would do as my first escape room, as it may turn you off from doing one again.
