Lots of creative and challenging puzzles, and cool themed rooms. Great for team building!

Such an amazing escape room experience - the sets were detailed and the puzzles were both immersive and challenging. We have done a lot of escape rooms all over - and this was definitely the best! read more

Had a great escape room experience. Friends and I did the U-Boat one. The effects of this one were very cool. The game master was the owner himself. He explained things very well and was helpful and generous. The entire place outside the game room was clean and well-designed. The waiting room was comfortable and had games to play. FYI this place is in the basement. read more

This escape room was so fun and the staff was lovely! I did the Body Shop game room with one person so whenever we were truly stumped and standing around looking at each other the game room master would drop a hint on the timer screen to give us the momentum to keep going (which I appreciated because it kept the game moving and motivated us). The theme of the room was so unique and fun and it was interesting to see the story unfold as we worked our way through the clues. The one hour flew by so quickly! It's definitely an experience worth your time and money. Will be going back to try the other games! read more

The Heist is my fourth escape room and the only one I managed to crack. We only have two people but the owner adjusted the level of difficulty so it fits a team of two, which makes me really want to go back and try other rooms at red fox. We were also allowed to ask for clues when we feel lost. As a beginner, the sense of achievement is the one true key to remain interest. However, we were never privileged to receive as much consideration and customization in any other escape rooms in greater Boston. The owner of red fox actually cares about our experience and wants us to succeed. I sincerely appreciate that. The Heist is also full of fun with diverse types of puzzles. You will enjoy a full "brain massage" no matter what intellectual challenges you are looking for, even maths! Give it a try, you won't regret it! read more

Oh my goodness this was such a blast! We were a smaller group but still had a wonderful time and everything was really well put together.

Two first timers (me - 54, kid - 16) and two 20-something pros did the U-Boat Rooms. SO GREAT! I am so impressed with the detail that went into planning this escape room! I really don't want to give away too much because it is so cleverly constructed with maximum authenticity and attention to detail. We worked with 4 other people and it was a joint effort to the finish! We did receive a few gentle nudges from the eye in the sky but we did the majority of the work on our own. At the conclusion, the host walked us through puzzles we didn't work on when the groups separated out of necessity. We finished with 2:30 to spare!! Highly recommend! read more

Really fun puzzle, highly thought about. We were three adults, one 12 year old and one 8 year old. The smartest one of us was the 12 year old. We did need a lot of hints given the low number in our team, but the puzzles were top notch. Would go to the remaining two. read more

We did the body shop w a group of four and it was rlly fun, finished with four minutes left! The place itself is very cute w lockers and a waiting room with puzzles. Cute bathrooms too read more

This is now my favorite Escape Room experience in Boston. Unlike other rooms that require random poking 'round for clues and answers, the objectives here focus more on solving logic puzzles as a team. They were satisfying and challenging. The experience is pretty immersive and the set(s) are very well done. The lights, the sound - the creator(s) put a lot of love and care into the game and it shows. We're all looking forward to doing their next room when that becomes debuts next week. read more

The best escape room I have gone to yet! 10/10 would recommend! The escape room was very intricate and fun! It was a very clean space and Nico was a great host! read more

We had a blast! We did The Heist room with the kids and it was great. It was challenging, but we got clues and were able to solve. The kids (11&8) were able to participate and helped with solving some of the puzzles. It was wonderful family experience. We loved it! It was a present for my husband's Bday, and the owner was very accommodating, suggesting that they'll hide some special messages in the room. It was such a nice surprise to see the Bday message. So overall, would very much recommend this! read more

We did the Body Shop room and had an amazing time! Really well designed room with smart and engaging puzzles!

Red Fox Escapes is amazing! We had a birthday party for a group of teens and they loved it. We did the HEIST acting as a group of thieves trying to steal a giant diamond from a gallery. There were tons of puzzles to solve in each room so we could work on different challenges at the same time or work together. Each room has a monitor where the staff can offer timely just helpful enough clues to help keep participants from getting too frustrated. I highly recommend it for any family, group, or team wanting to have an adventure together. There is a great lobby and lounge which was perfect for gathering before we started. The staff was very friendly. If you're at all anxious about escape rooms, this is the place for you! The puzzles are VERY challenging but doable with as many hints as you need. I've spent 20 years producing educational content for children's television shows specializing in fun and engaging activities. This was maximum fun and adventure! read more

Some of the best escape room experiences we have had were here. Nice staff. Creative environments, diverse skill puzzles.

I have done sososo many escape rooms and this by far is my all time favorite place. I did the Body Shop with one of my friends and everything about the story line was amazing. The puzzles were so well done, I am still shocked over how brilliant and well made it all was. WILL. BE. BACK. read more

This was my second escape room experience. It felt immersive and detailed. It was challenging but not defeatingly difficult. There were a variety of different types of puzzles to solve, which was cool because it appeals to different types of thinkers. I enjoyed the entire experience, and if I lived anywhere in the area, I'd come back for any future rooms they open up! read more

We had a great time at Red Fox Escapes for an office event! Everything was well-organized, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were a fun challenge. Would definitely recommend! read more

Incredible atmosphere, the puzzles are just the right amount of challenging, the layout and decorations even in the waiting room are incredible. I've done about 6 Escape the Rooms now and feel the attention to detail at RedFoxEscapes is head and shoulders above the competition. I can't wait until the new rooms come in this year. Also: you can complete the Heist with 2 people; it makes for a great romantic date, a fun team building activity or night out with friends for something different than drinking and watching your TV on your weekend again. read more

I had so much fun with my friends here! Our guide's name was Jenna. She was one of the most upbeat people and she really made us feel excited about the experience. I couldn't recommend this escape room more. If you are lucky you may also get Jenna as a guide!! read more

We had such a phenomenal time at Red Fox Escapes. We've done several escape rooms in the past, but this was by far my favorite. The room was thought provoking and tailored to various thinking styles. I appreciate that there was less searching and more logical reasoning. The owners certainly put a great deal of time into creating The Heist and I cannot wait to come back to try another room! read more

Red Fox Escapes - The Heist - Escape Games Near Me - Cambridge, Massachusetts

Tried my first escape room a few weeks back downtown and had such a great time, we decided to try another for my boyfriend's birthday. We came to Red Fox because it was a little closer and highly rated, it did not disappoint. We did the U-Boat and would recommend it to others looking to try an escape room in Cambridge. Excellent service too--we had accidentally paid for a 9th person and didn't realize we'd counted ourselves wrong until we got home. They were very kind to refund us for the extra add-on even though we were the ones that had miscounted when we were there. We will definitely be back someday to do their other rooms! read more

This was my family's first time at Red Fox Escapes and we were super impressed! The Heist was super fun and well executed - you actually feel like you're breaking into a gallery like in the movies. The staff were great and gave us clues when we needed them, since we were a small group and had a lot of puzzles to tackle. Some of the puzzles were hard, but they were all overall fun to attempt and satisfying to solve. A few components of the escape room were also super cool, but I can't say more than that! Highly recommend! read more

This was my first time there, I had my daughters birthday party. We did the U-boat and it was amazing!!! The girls had an fabulous time, it really made you work together and think. Think this is a great place for team building for job, or just a bunch of friends having a great time. We cant wait to go back to do the heist and when they open their new room!!! Love love love, you so need to go read more

Very helpful. Gave clues just at the right time. Fun and clever set up. Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice waiting area.

A bit pricey, but overall this place was great. The booking process and the employees were very professional and the experience was excellent. read more

We participated in the Heist as a team-building exercise. This was, personally, my tenth or so room at my fifth company, but most of our team had never done one before. The quality of the puzzles is excellent - as is their support to ensure a fun time! Setting and production value is also top-notch. Lastly, the best aspect was the "customer service" - flexibility, support, concern for a team member with a recent foot operation and limited mobility (Marie set up two chairs for her) - all spoke to a top notch experience. Definitely already planning on coming back! read more

We went to Red Fox as a family of five. What a HUGE success!!! The facility is wonderful, the staff is lovely, the attention to detail is impeccable, absolutely worth a visit! read more

So much fun! The U Boat room was super cool, it was like being inside a real boat! Challenging clues but our game master was super helpful when we got stuck read more

I had never done an escape room before so this was a whole new experience for me and given that it was the general feeling of being overwhelmed is a given, but regardless of it the puzzles are creative and some even are adaptable which makes sure the experience is unique on every play through and ensures you'll be getting your moneys worth, the set and it's design are intuitive, and our game master (I'm not sure if that's the right term, apologies) Mary I believe her name was (or Marie), was a total sweetheart and made sure we had fun. Would highly recommend! read more

Our group of six retirees had a fantastic time figuring out the puzzles at the Body Shop! We are rookies at escape rooms, so we depended on Zander to give us hints (probably more hints than the average group!) but Zander was very patient and non-judgmental. He knew exactly when to send a hint so our experience was absolutely fun and engaging. There were so many unique surprises that made us laugh, yell, and scream with delight. read more

Well done, great fun, quite a challenge with a lot of surprises. Will have to try their other rooms

Super fun escape! Just the right amount of challenge and "support" (aka hints). We played The Heist. The puzzles are unusual and innovative. No off the shelf props here. Everything is made by the owners. Nico, one of those owners, was friendly and welcoming, greeting us when we arrived. He clearly loves building games and it shows. Highly recommend. read more

Had a lot of fun with four of us doing the Girl Scout escape room! Lots of clever puzzles, recommended!

A hidden gem in the heart of Central Square! What a fantastic escape/escapades room! if you want an exciting fun challenge with just enough twists to keep you and your gang wholly engaged and firing on all cylinders, Red Fox Escapes is for you! Props to GameMaster Bianca - you deserve several rounds of ice cream! read more

Me and the boys pulled up and had a blast. The puzzles were so fun and Jenna was awesome. Highly recommend!

I've been to many escape rooms but none that could compare to the U-Boat Room from Red Fox Escapes!!! It was extremely clever, and honestly at first I was freaked out that our group of first timers was way out of its league. BUT thankfully the guide perfectly monitored our struggles and gave us just enough hints to keep us engaged and on target. Check them out, you will not regret it. read more

Loads of fun and escapism for groups! There are several rooms, each with its own set of challenges and themes. Highly recommended! read more

We had a fantastic time at the Body Shop. This was the third time we have been here and we enjoyed all three. We were especially lucky to get Bianca as our host - she did not give away clues unnecessarily and made the experience very fun. Recommend for all groups of all ages. The youngest in our party was 10 years old. She did find the horror part creepy but still enjoyed the experience. read more
