Brought my family here while they were visiting and it was definitely a hit! It was super easy to make a rezzie online and we signed our waivers ahead of time. Check-in was pretty fast - there was a tiny bit of a wait but that gave us time to go to the bathroom. We completed the "body shop" and I def. recommend trying this game out.

Hannah was amazing with us in the escape room The Body Shop - she was so fun and a great host and knew we didn't want any help but just checked on us in the right amount of time!! She also protected us when there was a creepy guy outside and helped us get out through the back entrance!! Our hero!!

This place was great. We did the U - Boat. The staff did a good job explaining everything in the room. The room felt like being in a Submarine. Every clue lead to another great surprise. There was like 4 rooms total which made it more fun because we had to go back and forward to solve the codes. Overall, a great time

I'm obsessed with this place! My friends and I have completed all three rooms and are patiently waiting for them to finish their next construction! If you like to do escape room for a challenge, select the UBOAT. If you're looking to do one that has a lot of puzzles for big groups or just to split up and not work on the same thing select The Heist. If you're looking for a really interesting story, select The Body Shop. Every room is super fun and interactive! Each has unique twists and surprises that Id hate to spoil here I've been to so many escape rooms and this one is definitely a place I'd recommend!

Boda Borg was so fun we went 2 nights in a row on vacation. Our group is usually fans of escape…read morerooms but this is that with MORE activity! Be ready to run, sweat, jump, crawl, and climb - I have bruises on my legs lol The rooms are really immersive - if you're in a jail themed room you can expect low lighting and crawlspaces. If you're in an army themed room you can expect to be speedy, climbing, or seeing flashing lights. The door colors tell you the level of physical activity so you can just do chill mental challenges if you wanted to. Two parts of each room - figure out the objective, and then actually complete it. If you fail you can exit the room and line up for it again (it goes quick) or go to another room. You can also ask a worker for hints. It gets hot in there quickly if you're doing physical activity challenges (some rooms are hotter and smellier than others) - but there are drinking fountains on the main level and fans blowing in the hallways. Make sure to wear comfortable activewear and shoes!

Boda Borg was such a fun experience. The quests are creative, challenging, and full of variety. It did get pretty hot inside while running around, so be prepared to sweat a little. We could see that the AC was set on 69 but the temperature was 78 so the AC may have been having issues. They also had some industrial fans to help cool it down. They provide free lockers but you can't bring a water bottle with you in the quest area. This was an awesome group activity that requires problem-solving, teamwork, and physical activity. We only paid for 2 hours but could have definitely stayed longer. Highly recommend!

So, this was technically my first ever escape room (I did a 5 Wits one years ago, before they were…read morea "thing"). That means I didn't know quite what to expect, but was super exited. We did pretty well, but did not escape the room! And we consider ourselves to be fairly smart people. An hour is definitely not enough time and I would be impressed with anyone who gets it in under an hour on the first try. When I first walked into the room, I thought it would be very simple. Wrong!!! Don't judge a book by the cover. I can't wait to go back! I almost wish we hadn't had her explain the final clues, so I could have done this room again. My only complaint: the new punchcards are nice, but if you've paid for all 3 rooms, they should do more than just $3 off. Maybe 50% or even just $10 off...

On the bright side, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. But overall, a thumbs down…read moreexperience compared to the 20+ rooms I have done at other places in the area. This seemed like more of a low-budget, amateur place compared to the others. We did 20,000 leagues and I was shocked when I walked into the room because it looked like a file room with a couple of wall decorations. You didn't get the feeling you were trapped miles under the sea. The puzzles were tedious (including having to do math and read a map with tiny print) and not intuitive. Some of the puzzles, such as the math puzzle had "run rules" that you needed to know (and could only find out by asking for a hint) in order to solve it. There were way too many combination lock/open the box puzzles. Other places have things like chessboards where you need to put the pieces in the right place, books that you need to pull out in the right order, etc. This room had only a couple of non-lock puzzles. It was also just a single room, so no secret doors or passages. The staffer was in the room with us, which was odd and took away from the experience. This is definitely not a room I would do with kids because there's no way they would be able to solve 95% of the puzzles. Also not a place I would do as my first escape room, as it may turn you off from doing one again.

There's a fun mix of puzzles, some of which we had never seen before, and our game master was a hoot! My only (spoiler-free) critique is that there was one puzzle at the end that we were a little unclear as to what we were supposed to do, but otherwise a fabulous time was had. If I'm ever back in Salem I want to try their other room, it also looks great.

The Witches Hollow escape room was a lovely and very story centered Escape room experience…read more My friends and I have done a number of escape rooms together and separately and this was the first escape room I have ever participated in where competition with a ticking clock was not front and center to the entire thing. There was no clock present at all! And we learned, after we escaped, that they have additional puzzles they add if players are getting through the puzzles quickly. Because it's story centered, they want you to get from point A to point B, but the puzzles were still difficult enough to be satisfying. The production value was fantastic - a lot of attention to light and sound design and a beautiful set and props. It was a great atmosphere to lose yourself in for an hour. Bravo. I don't live that close to Salem, but kind of hope my friends will want to organize to try the other room. Other less important stuff: Though they don't have their own lot, they are located on a public pay lot. They are about a 10 minute walking distance from the downtown witchy area of Salem. There is a Starbucks next door which can be convenient for meeting up before and debriefing after. Check them out - a really great experience.

We did "The Heist" (which I think is one of their easier rooms) with a group of 8 people--7 adults and one kiddo. The rooms themselves are really elaborate and I was surprised by how advanced all the tech was. There were so many different kinds of creative puzzles, and they were challenging enough to keep us on our toes but not so difficult that it got frustrating. You get as many hints as you need, with no penalty for using them. Your guide watches via camera and jumps in to help as needed, but we only ended up needing one minor hint the whole time. We finished in about 45 minutes of the available hour. I think a big part of that was having a bunch of grown ups in the room, it might be difficult for an all-kid crew, but maybe that's where the hints come in! I noticed that on the website some of the rooms (particularly during busy times) are "Shared" games, so if you don't want to be paired with strangers, make sure you fill your whole game! The person running our game was so nice (I think his name is Anthony!), making sure we understood how everything worked and joking around with us before and after we finished. All in all we had a great time, I would 100% come back!
