We are visiting from out of state and brought our four year old here today. He loved it and will not stop talking about it! We promised him an additional visit before we go back. He loved the young kids course - in his head he probably imagined himself to be Indiana Jones. For $11 admission ($9 when prebooked) kids get an hours playtime on the course. The older kids course reaches to the ceiling (impressive!!) while the younger kids course is about 3 foot from the ground. There are dancing fountains and a conjoined ice cream parkour, jelly bean/belly store, and a burger place. A+++++++ will be back before our flight next week !

Staff is not educated about special needs. They refused to accommodate my son with autism. My only request was him to be able to wear his earphones as he has always wear them while climbing in the rope course several times, for three years, even a month ago. They said NO yesterday because that was a "new rule" leaving my son without the opportunity to enjoy the playground. So, if a deaf need a communication device, he will be force to be without it because of a ridiculous "new rule"? This is a matter of discrimination , my son needs his earphones to regulate himself in a noisy and overwhelming environment so he can enjoy what is around him by being relaxed and focused. Seriously? After all of my explanations and a promise to leave the audio in my inside shirt pocket the whole staff (4 people) was still refusing to accommodate my son. What a horrible and discriminatory behavior from this company that supposed to work for kids, what a shame!

You can't participate without gloves. You can bring your own. They do have a limited number of lockers available to store valuables. The alternative is leaving them in your car or bringing them with you. I felt safe leaving my bag on a picnic bench. If you choose to leave anything in your pockets it is subject to falling out onto the ground below. I saw it happen. Enjoy!

There are different difficulty levels and multiple paths to complete for each level. 3 hours flew by and I didn't even go on every course. The check in process was a breeze and although it was very busy there was no lines or crowd. The safety tutorial did however feel rushed. I was NOT confident that I knew what to do but the locking mechanism made me feel safe enough to just " figure it out." I can't wait to return again with the rest of my family. This would be a great group opportunity for active families.

Zoar Outdoor…read moreis located on route 2 in Western MA directly across the street from the Deerfield River. Very beautiful area. After a brief safety video and briefing, we were given our rafting kit, loaded on buses, and brought up river to the raft slip, this was about a 30 minute trip north west. The raft trip ended across the street from where we started. An easy exit, we got out of the boat, returned our kit, and walked across the road to watch the video, and purchase souvenir photographs. We had an excellent day on the river during our 10 mile trip. My 14 year old son and I did the Zoar Gap trip which took most of the day with an hour break for lunch at a nice riverside picnic ground in the mountains. You can bring your own food( appropriately packaged) if you would like. They store it in a water proof bag and stow it on the raft. If there is even a hint of rain or you just don't want to get completely soaked, bring a three season jacket or rain coat. Also, you will be out on a river dress accordingly. NO open toed shoes! This includes flip- flops. You can rent shoes and wetsuits. If you have any medical issues like allergic reactions etc. I would either bring your own Epi Pen kit and medications with you, and stow it in the water proof bag, or possibly think about finding a less isolated outdoor experience. Be warned, white water rafting can be physically strenuous. The only issue I had was the lunch that was provided. Not that it was bad, it was well packaged and pre-made( not to order). If you have food allergies or don't like mayonnaise bring your own food. Zoar Outdoor is not really able to accommodate food allergies or pickey eaters. Mayonnaise was on every sandwich. I don't know why. They could just have provided packets on the side but they there were none available. My son hates mayonnaise so he only ate the chips, pickle, and cookies provided which got him through the remainder of the trip but not exactly a great lunch. One man we were with had a dairy allergy. I'm pretty sure he was not able to eat any of the food. I'm not sure why he didn't make sure a head of time if he could eat the food.I wish I had known the sandwiches had mayonnaise on them a head of time. Not a huge deal, we got over it. The trip was super fun! I would love to go again and will definitely choose Zoar Outdoor again.

It was easy but exhilarating; definitely a unique experience and I highly recommend. We booked a week in advance. The check in process was seamless. We stopped at the scenic waterfront Bayside Station and there was a s'mores bar available while sitting fireside. The wood-burning fire pits kept us warm. After staying there for about 30 minutes, we pedaled back to the beginning. With the same group, the 4 of us did the Sunday Morning Brunch Tour/Bayside Brunch at 9am in August for $270. The weather was a lot better now than in April. We stopped at the scenic waterfront Bayside Station where we were able to use our 2 tickets for alcoholic drinks like Mimosas, Bellinis, and Bloody Marys. Death Wish Coffee and juice were complimentary. There were also complimentary muffins, danishes, and other pastries and fruit. Adirondack chairs were placed facing the water to enjoy the views. The 6 mile roundtrip tour is always an unforgettable experience. The staff are always very friendly and offer to take pictures to capture the memories. A brief instructional talk is always provided at the beginning and now they have a microphone so everyone can hear. Safety is of utmost importance.
