There are a number of different trails to explore that are well marked/kept (similar to all Trustees spaces). After some rain in the area, some of the areas are a bit muddy, so one may want to keep an eye on the weather/bring hiking shoes or other shoes you don't mind getting some mud on. You can also hear the hum of the freeway nearby. I also saw a wild turkey on this hike, which I trailed behind for about 10 minutes, haha! Glad to run into a fellow hiker on this trail! :)

This park is great, though it would be better for 2 - 5 ages. Older kids can still play here, just…read morenot as much to do. Anyways, onto the playground! Parking is fairly easy, there is a parking lot. Most of the playground is accessible, besides 1 swing. There is 1 swing over sand, 2 swings over rubber, and 1 bucket harness swing over rubber. The is sensory and musical, play equipment in the first part, as well as imaginary play. Secondly, there are low monkey bars and a climber. Next, there is a straight slide and if you go a little higher there is a spiral slide. To get on the playground, there are stairs, a curved ladder, or the monkey bars. For older kids, there is a semicircular climbing net. There is also a baseball field, pickle ball courts, a basketball court, picnic tables with shelter, and 2 trails leading to neighborhoods. It is fully of activities for the younger set, and it would be great to go there for 15 minutes to half an hour!

Rest: there are places all around the banks to plop down or set up some folding chairs. There is lots of tree coverage and shade around the lake. Bugs: Plenty. (I think they're primarily baby dragonflies because it's Spring and 'tis the season) Accessibility: There's a parking lot! (G-d bless the 21st century in which natural areas come with parking lots) It also is along the Narrow Gauge Rail-Trail so it's accessible by a bike/walk path. You do need to do a tiny 1-minute hike down a small hill to get to the lake. Swim-ability: Rules for swimming are unknown. I can tell you that right on the edge of the lake, it's a little scummy, so I'm not sure it's appealing/a good idea to do so. No trash though! All in all, a wonderful lake to visit, might not spend the day here, but still worth the pretty views.

It is an easy hiking trail with an accessible parking lot. The length of the loop trail is about one mile with marks. During the winter, the trail could be muddy after snow or rain. If you were looking for a stunning place, Fawn lake may not be the first choice.

We walked a bit to the right and there were so many dogs - it must be an unofficial dog park, or happy hour for the dogs. They were all so cute. My friend had come before so he recommend we walk to Wright's Tower since it gives a vast view of the neighboring houses and landscape but also Boston in the far distance. It was a perfect hike of about 45 minutes there, and about an hour back since we did trailblaze a bit. We were following a GPS, but there are colors and signs periodically on the trees to guide you through the trails. I wouldn't say its too scenic, but it is relaxing and the terrain is perfect, with some spots being intermediate level but mostly all of it being beginner or easy. We did see some people on bikes, and others jogging. When we got to the tower, we went inside and climbed the stairs to the top. From there, you can look out in all directions to get some really nice views. It is worth the climb. We plan on eventually going back and trying longer or more challenging trails. But overall I think it's a gem that isn't too far from the city.

We parked in the lot for the ski touring, crossed the road, and were on our way. We did the North and South loop of the Acorn trail, totaling about 2.5-3 miles. The trail was decently traversed, but I would definitely recommend hiking/snowboots in the winter. It was very peaceful and beautiful here - tall pines and some big pastures.

There are two "lots" available for parking as well as the street which depending on when you go, is not too bad. (Do not park in the church lot to the left of the spots by the playground). Can't say that I have seen the sunrise, but the sunsets are beautiful. In the summer sometimes you can rent out kayaks or pedal boats. There are two playgrounds for kids (one by church lot, other by honeydew side). Really pretty to see during the different seasons. Definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere outdoors to exercise, sit in the sun, enjoy a picnic, etc.

On the way back from Lowell, I decided to ride all the way home to the city. I was able to mainly take back roads and trails (Bruce Freeman to Reformatory to Minuteman), which was very cool! I'd definitely come back again.
