    Quanna go here with me?

If you quanna find a nice relaxing lake in the Boston area, then you quanna visit Lake Quannapowitt. At least give it a try and see powitt goes. Walking around this lake is lovely, a lot of people cycle and take pictures. It's peaceful and serene and you wouldn't know you were in suburban Boston. It will be a bit nicer once the building work is done, and I think it's a shame that they're building more and more things around the lakeshore. I guess nothing lasts forever. The best time is sunset, when it's absolutely gorgeous, despite a few mosquitoes. It takes less than an hour to walk around the entire lake if that's your thing. If you quanna know more, private message me.

Stopped in with the kids one night, Played at the park. Its great for both boys, not too big for the little, not babyish for the big one! The lake is soo pretty & it was around sunset & the skyline was gorgeous & made for great pics. Walking trails and lots of parking. Will def come back some time to hang at the park!

Great place to walk or attend community gatherings. Local shops nearby to get food or drink too.

Ask the Community - Lake Quannapowitt

I looked on Google Earth and saw several port-a-potties next to Spaulding Playground at the Lake. Are those facilities still available? Just thinking how children always seem the need “to go” at the most inopportune time. 😉…

There are portapotties by the playground on the church side. Didn't use them but saw them

Entry is $2 for adults, or you can pay $40 for a season pass. The parking lot is small, but there's additional parking at Dilboy stadium a short walk away. No food or drink allowed (besides water of course) which is a bummer, but makes sense for health and cleanliness issues. A few other reviewers thought the pool was dirty, but I haven't found that to be true. The locker rooms/bathrooms are a little rough, but it's an old community pool, what do you expect? It's pretty packed with kids so this is not the place to come for peace and quiet. Regardless, this will be a regular haunt of mine this summer for sure!

There is TONS of parking, some of it a bit down the street, but all free. 3. Also - there is a wheel chair ramp. This place is awesome because its quite clean (the pool, perhaps not the bathrooms, but they suffice) and theres space for everyone. You have to bring your own chairs/towels to sit on as they don't have them, but they DO have children's life vests for kids that may not own one (and can't swim yet). Shout out to the pool for being massive. I love this place!

There aren't very shallow areas for the toddlers like there are at some of the other DCR pools, such as Connors Memorial Pool in Waltham, which probably helps to keep the crowds down. But the pool is very spacious and has enough space both for lap swimmers and kids playing. The spray deck just outside is great for the younger kids, too.

It's a year later and they've done extensive updates to the pool location. 1. There's now an ADA regulation ramp with rails going into the pool for those in wheelchairs or who have trouble walking. 2. They added easier steps and hand rails for children and families to enter at the opposite end (long stairs that slope gently instead of ladder style.) 3. They have added permanent shade awnings around the pool, along with wooden benches underneath them (definitely still try to come early because those get snapped up quickly.) 4. The changing rooms are the same, but entering the locker rooms, there is now almost a rubberized "curtain" of small strips to walk through that creates privacy. Previously anyone walking by in the main corridor could see directly in. 5. The splash pad/fountain area has awnings and benches around it, and is ADA accessible. As of summer of 2023, the pool is open 7 days a week from 11:15AM-6:00PM. The changes have greatly improved the property, and it's a place where you can come and stay all day instead of roasting on hot concrete. They also have water fountains and outdoor showers along the pool deck for getting a quick drink and rinsing off.

My interaction with Laura was hostile and dismissive and appeared discriminatory. Call it what it looks like. Hatred doesn't elevate anyone; it exposes them. While this location seems stuck in petty, ugly behavior, the rest of us move forward choosing dignity and decency. I was contacted regarding an alleged outstanding balance, even though my bank records clearly show successful withdrawals for both my membership and my daughter's swim lessons. When I disputed this and provided documentation, both services were immediately canceled and a refund was refused. The issue was escalated to the Regional Business Manager, who acknowledged receipt of the documentation but continues to request additional bank statements in order to "investigate," further delaying what should be a simple refund. At this point, the issue is not missing information but unnecessary delays. I am still waiting for refunds for canceled services and expect this matter to be resolved promptly.

Sadly, this location offers zero other amenities like whirlpool, sauna, or steam. I can't recall a Y that hasn't had at least one of these and it's a huge nope for me.
