Challenge yourself and gain confidence while having fun! Great way to spend a few hours making memories with your family or friends. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The courses are well thought out for all skill levels. There are plenty of tables to sit and watch, many are in nicely shaded spots. Ok to bring snacks, a lunch, or water. There is a variety of snacks and drinks available to purchase. Gloves are a must. You can't participate without them. They do have them in multiple size onsite to purchase. You can't participate without gloves. You can bring your own. They do have a limited number of lockers available to store valuables. The alternative is leaving them in your car or bringing them with you. I felt safe leaving my bag on a picnic bench. If you choose to leave anything in your pockets it is subject to falling out onto the ground below. I saw it happen. Enjoy! read more

Extremely fun place. It was not only a good time but it was a challenge, which I appreciated. I went in thinking everything would be tailored to children but I was very wrong. There are different difficulty levels and multiple paths to complete for each level. 3 hours flew by and I didn't even go on every course. The check in process was a breeze and although it was very busy there was no lines or crowd. The safety tutorial did however feel rushed. I was NOT confident that I knew what to do but the locking mechanism made me feel safe enough to just " figure it out." I can't wait to return again with the rest of my family. It's a self-serving adventure park with a mix of obstacles and ziplines with varying difficulty levels. It's not a scenic area but there are courses with a lot of shade and you're in the forest. And other courses where you're not covered by trees and it's open. When I say "self-serving", it's completely different from another adventure park I went to and there are staff members helping each person move safely at every junction. At Boundless, you are on your own and it's self-paced. If you get stuck, there is a staff member on the ground you can shout to for help. And trust that I got stuck, but it wasn't that bad. I was able to pull myself back up after a slip. Did 1 yellow, 1 green, and 1 blue course. It lasted 2 hours, which was the ticket I purchased. If you're scared of heights, I suggest starting with a yellow course and work your way through the levels for a better challenge if you want. Gloves are required and they sell them for about $6 or you can bring your own. The staff are friendly and responsive. My phone dropped without me knowing and the staff alerted me. 2 cons: They don't sell any real food & they don't have actual bathrooms. Just portable toilets. They should partner with some food trucks. Located 1 hour from Boston. If you have a stamina for adventure, I highly recommend this place! You will have fun whether you're a kid, teen, or grown adult!! read more

Whether working with them by email or phone, they were helpful and had a "no trouble at all" approach which made them so easy to work with in the planning. Enjoyed spending the night at Boundless Adventures. Kids (ages 9 - 12) had a blast. They were able to find courses that matched their ability & comfort levels. Loved the courses in the woods. Plenty of staff and all were very friendly. Easy online ordering & waivers. Hints: Bring your own gloves. Wear comfortable, warm clothes for night climbing. It got chilly. Wear bright colors/glow sticks to find each other on the course (but not orange because the staff wear that color) Each course took us 20-30 minutes. Plan accordingly, especially as time is running out and there are obstacles you want to try. Ask the staff! They had great advice about where to find the longest zip lines, easiest ways to get across hard obstacles, which course to take for easier/harder challenges. We could not have had a better day! Got there at 4 to celebrate my sons 14th birthday. The staff were super kind and calming especially when children needed assistance on the course. The western being 72 helped too and no mosquitos!! At 5:30 they put the lights on so the forest illuminated and made the night magical! Visited Boundless Adventures today and had a great time. As an adult, it was a bit of a challenge to do the courses just because I'm not as limber as I used to be, but my 14 year old little brother had a blast. The ropes and zip lines were a great deal of fun. I highly recommend it for families with kids. Also, the young ladies in the registration building were wonderful and very friendly, and told me as a first-timer what I needed to know. Suggestion: make sure you have plenty of time here, you don't want to rush through everything. a minimum of 2 hours is good, 3 if you want to try the entire set of courses. The only critiques I have are these: When getting into my harness, the young employee who put it on me was not happy to be there (it was obvious), and the minimal instruction he gave me was garbled and useless; he really didn't care. Too fast, and not helpful. The second young man who gave a more in-depth instruction to our group was better, but it was also rushed (he even said, "I'm going to go over this quickly." Why? there was no one behind us waiting). As a first-timer who would be 20+ feet in the air in a few minutes and didn't know how to use the carabiners, I felt the lesson could have been slower. I realize they work with lots of customers dozens of times a day, but they have to realize not everyone is knowledgeable about a ropes course (and may not be comfortable in a harness with carabiners). Lastly, the price ($60 each for two hours, $70 each for three hours) seemed excessive. For a family with an adult and two kids you're talking in the $200 price range; seems like a lot. But short of that, if you have an inkling to go, give it a shot! it's a lot of fun and you'll be talking about it for a long time in the future. read more

This high ropes course has top-notch staff and a series of courses with a wide range of difficulty levels. The staff on the ground and the administrative staff have all been attentive and responsive, clearly invested in helping climbers have a great time. When we reported some possibly-unsafe aspects of the elements, the staff quickly made an effort to respond and to carefully check on the details of our complaints, and by the time we returned, they had repaired whatever needed it. As for the actual climbing experience, my husband accidentally dropped his eyeglasses while climbing, and a staff member noticed and immediately picked up the eyeglasses, making sure they got safely back to him. The first time we visited Boundless, we only tried the yellow and green courses that are off the left side of the main platform, because the line to get on the courses to the right, which go into the forest, was much longer. It was a very sunny day and there's little to no shade on those left-side courses, so we got hot and tired out quickly. But yesterday was overcast, so when my husband and daughter took a left-side course, they had a fine time. The right-side courses are great, especially if it's super sunny, because the forest provides a lot of cool shade. The yellow and green courses are great for people starting out with high ropes, and there's quite a jump in the challenge when moving up to a blue-level course. My husband and 10-year-old daughter enjoyed their climb yesterday, and got a great workout! read more

This is an excellent option for kids. I was watching my niece and nephews, all teens/pre-teens, and I took them here. It was a little expensive, but absolutely worth it. 1) It's an active activity 2) It's outdoors 3) It's unique and fun. Over the years, we've done all the usual activities with kids - bowling, mini-golf, movies. These days, we look for something off-beat to do that keeps the kids active. This was a perfect fit! - When you arrive, you check in at the first big yellow trailer you see. There's no signs that say "check in here" or anything - you really have no idea where to go - some signs would help. I say this because we walked over to the little hut where they keep all the gear and the guy ended up walking us back. It's no big deal, just some signage would help. Bathrooms are great; there are those outdoor portapotties BUT they have a big white trailer on site that is just 2 bathrooms. That is a nice upgrade. I say this as an older white dude. You pay per kid, and then they hook you up. Each person gets a nice harness and can borrow some gloves. They do a rather quick and hurried instruction. This should be slower and allow each kid more time to perfect how to use the gear. The guy giving the instruction was nice but you could tell he does this a hundred times a week because he steamrolled right through it. The kids (and adults) had a hard time following him. They do get a little practice with their gear before going up, but they needed more because once they got 30 feet off the ground, they were confused or stuff didn't work right for them. Thankfully, they were all together up there and helped each other figure it out. To note - there are 2 clips you use, and one is always locked onto the line to which it is clipped. The other is always unlocked. You use a little red thingy to press against the clips to lock/unlock them. This action will unlock a locked clip while simultaneously locking the other. And - you get a big thing to use when using a zip line, but no testing with it before you go up. The kids had trouble with this up top too. Adults and employees on the ground would yell up to coach the kids, which worked fine. It's a single large ropes course with numerous difficulty levels built in. There are trails along the ground so adults can hang out in the shade and keep an eye on their kids. It's fun just watching them maneuver around the challenging courses. About a third of the course is in direct sun, and the rest is in the shade / trees. It's very cool - all new - looks great. Kids' equipment worked fine once they got the hang of it, and they all very much enjoyed it. Excellent activity for kids and for adults looking for something different! read more

We went to Boundless Adventures this past weekend with the family. My kids are 9 and 11 and we all had a blast!! I did one course of every difficulty level (3 with the kids and husband and the hardest black course by myself) and all were fun and challenging. There are 4 course difficulty levels, yellow, green, blue, and black, each with age limits with and without an adult. My 9 year old is the fearless one and wanted to go on the harder courses, so I told her we'd come back once she was old enough. You really need to be a certain height to be able to do some of the obstacles so I totally get the age restrictions. The staff was so helpful and professional. They even came up and rescued my son when he got stuck on one of the more difficult courses. We are already planning to return with an adults only crew to take on some of the harder courses we didn't get to during this outing! read more

There were many different course options with different levels of difficulty which was super helpful considering I was more scared than my kids. Hello, my fellow Yelpers! Today, I wanted to review Boundless Adventures in Berlin, MA. After about a 40 minute drive from my home, we arrived on the gravel road leading up to the place. We saw a trailer on site, a number of porta-potties and a mix of wood and steel suspended from varying heights. My wife and I went to the trailer and picked up our tickets (we had a Groupon for them)...and then we went to the Harnessing area. A young woman found a harness for each of us and adjusted it to our individual specifications. I felt like I was going on a mountain adventure when they were done and I can honestly say that while it was an adventure, there were no mountains involved! After Harnessing, we listened to a safety briefing and learned how to work the safety hooks that were part of our harness, along with the zip-line trolley. After doing a little practice, they turned us loose in the park for three hours. They have several courses that you can go through...they are all color coded and in order of level of difficulty they are; Yellow, Green, Blue and Black. Some of the courses are age restricted, but if you are 14 or older, you can go all the way to the Black course, without an adult. We got onto the starting platform, where all the courses start. We started on a Yellow course, of which there are 3, just to get a feel for what it was like. While I found the Yellow course to be a bit too easy for me, my wife found it very challenging and stopped after that course. Part of the allure of this place is challenging yourself beyond what you think you are capable of...and when I stepped up to a Green course, I found it challenging for me and after seeing what the Blue course entailed, I decided that Green was my limit. You are securely hooked to the steel security line so there isn't really any danger of you falling and hitting the ground, but there is potential for injury regardless so it is wise to be careful, because some of the obstacles particularly at the Blue and Black levels are quite challenging (picture a 60 foot space with only two steel lines connecting them...you have to cross using ONLY those two lines). There is some forethought required because the difficulty of the courses ramps up pretty significantly from Green to Blue to Black...once you begin a course, it is difficult to go back because you've got to go through all that you went through to get there, and there isn't a way to quickly get back down to the ground, if an individual challenge is too difficult. The general rule is once you start a course, you finish the course. However, I believe that in the interest of safety particularly for older folks like myself (and granted, I do not believe that my age group (50+) are the intended audience for Boundless Adventures), that there should be a rappel rope from each platform so you can rappel down from a platform before you try a particular challenge, if you believe that the challenge is too much for you (That's the only thing I would improve about my experience there). All in all, if you're looking for something physically challenging and very different, go to Boundless Adventures and let the sky be your limit! read more

Just be warned you'll leave with a couple bruises and well earned muscle soreness! :) A negative is that when my friends were finishing up the black course, an employee that was supposed to be supervising decided to pack up his car and leave. This adventure ropes course is great and the staff onsite is amazing. We booked a group event for our Boy Scout Troop for the last weekend they were open. We booked in advance, and the owners were great to work with, allowing us to add numbers to our initial booking. We were one of the first groups to get on the course in the morning, and the climbing was perfect. There were courses to fit every ability level and apprehension level as well. At all times you are securely clipped to a safety cable, and there is no way to unclip yourself.The onsite staff was quick to offer help if needed, suggesting ways to tackle obstacles or routes. We witnessed a staff member doing a "rescue" where a girl had forgot to attach her trolley to a zip line. She was perfectly safe, and the staff member climbed up the obstacle, went hand over hand, rigged a pulley to hoist her up, and crawled with her back to a platform. I was very impressed. Finally the "black" level courses are tough, after 2 1/2 hours of climbing, if you're already tired, I suggest you wait until next time. And that's another great reason to go back. read more

I can't believe the staff here. I accidentally booked the wrong location in Purchase, NY instead of Berlin,MA. Easy mistake if you only read the first word of an option. We arrived and the park was closed. When I called and explained to the NY staff they arranged for us to come in with a private group a half hour later and even refunded the difference in cost! Everyone on the staff seemed genuinely happy to be at work and made for a great day. The course was very well kept, in a beautiful setting, and had enough to challenge all skill levels. This was my first visit post Covid and the experience was as great as always. There's online registration and waiver fill in. When we arrived the employees were masked and did temperature checks. They no longer lend out gloves, and though we brought some, the ones for sale were nicer, so we went that route. All of the employees were masked, and a guest masking policy is enforced on the main platform and on the course elements if you're being rescued. As always, the courses and gear were well maintained, the courses were a fun challenge, and it was a lovely afternoon out. If you've never been, stop waiting and get out there, it's a great workout and you'll love it. read more

Such a great experience, every single time! I have been here 3 times in the past year, and each time I have more fun than the last. Usually we go with kids ages (8-12) and adults ages (20-50) and everyone has a blast. The staff is so great, always patient with everyone and always ready to help you or answer any questions you may have. This is such a fun activity for families, or literally anyone! Customer service is great too, if there is a chance of rain with lightning they explain your options. Very clean and organized as well. I cannot say enough great things about Boundless Adventures. They are worth every penny. Recently went and they are very aware of the restrictions with COVID-19. If you book in advance and there is a weather or any other issue preventing your arrival (less than 48hr in advance) they will not allow canceling reservation only rebooking it. What a couple of days we had!! Our high school brought 30 students grades 9-11 for 2 days of Boundless Adventure and it was awesome. They loved the freedom to challenge themselves at their own pace.
