I honestly wasn't quite sure what to expect-- Davis is pretty pricey and fairly far from me. My friend had raved about it from years ago so I figured it was worth a try. My son LOVED it. My son has a weird affinity for goats so this was basically his heaven. We really didn't leave the goat area for long. The only other thing we did was the hayride, which was amazing and the animals come right up to the truck. I loved learning about all the different animals they have on the farm. We went in October and the goats were dressed up for Halloween which was adorable. My son loved the area where you can sit and hold the baby goats. For my goat loving son, it's definitely worth the fall trip. read more

Had a fun day today at Davis Farmland! The place is huge and so well set up for families. What really stood out to me was how much space the animals have--definitely more than I've seen at other farms. There are tons of smaller animals like goats and chickens roaming freely in big open areas, which gives kids so many chances to pet and interact with them. My toddler especially loved the pony ride, and the hayride was another highlight. The farmer guiding the tour over the speaker kept things light and funny. Everyone who worked there was so kind and helpful. We went right after summer break when the weather was perfect, and it was a great time to go--low crowds and absolutely no wait times for anything. We also grabbed food at the BBQ restaurant on site, and it was surprisingly good--definitely worth stopping for food. The only downside is that entry tickets are a bit on the expensive side, especially if you're going as a whole family. read more

This place is a great day trip in Central MA for kids age infant to any age where the child likes farm animals, playgrounds, imaginary play and water sprays. The place is clean and the staff are terrific. They have a secure protocol for each child leaving with the adult they came with. Even the music was a blend of pop songs and kids songs. The area is big enough to not feel crowded (and there were 2 busloads of field trips the say we went) but small enough that a 4 yo can spend 4 hours there and not be overwhelmed. read more

We love Davis Farmland!! Today was our third visit to the farm. Drove 2 hrs with heaping snacks and excitement, ready for a great day of animal snuggles and water play. Our day was not as smooth as planned. My daughter has autism and was easily triggered into meltdown today. There were many meltdowns that we pushed through, bc we love this place!! The last BIG meltdown was rough. I'd like to extend a HUGE thank you to Sophia and Cassy. You came in soft and supportive and met my daughter at her level. Quite literally one of my favorite places!! I used to go here all the time as a kid and had so many birthday parties here so it was so nice to be able to go back with my little nephew and cousins! It brought back so much nostalgia!! But this is just an incredible place for families with kids! There's so many adorable animals and many sections where the kids can go in and interact directly with the animals to pet them and get close to them!! They do an amazing job here and it will always be one of my favorite spots to visit!! They're also very good about children safety here! This is one of my favorite places to take my kids!!! There is so much to do and it is well worth the money. We are an animal loving family so my kids truly enjoy getting to interact and hold so many animals. (Kittens and bunnies to hold and then visiting the goats, turtles, chickens, etc.) The splash pad and foam area are plenty big and tons of fun to cool off on a hot summer day. The kids get some energy out while riding the pedal carts, doodle bug riders, and going down the slides. Of course, we always have to grab an ice cream on our way out. I also have to say that for kids, it feels very safe and it's not huge so there is a lot of activities in a reasonable sized place for walking with little ones. do not waste your money or your precious time at this place! My daughter wanted to go to the farmland, which cost almost $100 for us to get in plus $10 pony ride and $40 on food. Then my son wanted to go across the street to their second scam land and it cost again $90 for us to get in the same place. It then cost five dollars or more to do each activity. I am a single mom and if I weren't already there, I would've turned around and left when I realized. When we were at the adventure land, we were treated very poorly by not just one of the staff there. Some man accused me of cutting in line maybe there's a small chance that this happened but I know that my daughter was checked in before them. She was just waiting for the smaller harness to do the trampoline. This grown man told me in front of my kids that I was a bad mother, the staff did nothing, and the staff clearly saw that my child was scared. She was grabbing onto my leg hiding. Even though I'm pretty sure that I did not cut them in line, this family should have been thrown out for treating my five year-old daughter and I. I didn't give the guy any attitude, but this man just berated me. staff did NOTHING. I added everything up and I spent almost $400. I strongly recommend bringing your hard earned money and spending precious time with your little ones somewhere else. read more

This was the perfect activity for an 18 month old child. Normally when we go somewhere my son is quickly over it and he wants to go home. 5 hours into this trip he was asking for more. The toddler play areas are fantastic with so many great toys and safe structures to play on. The animals are incredibly friendly and gentle so the little one quickly got over his initial fear and was hand feeding and petting them after a short time. Bottle feeding the calfs was the highlight of the day and it was so much fun to be able to be a part of that. I was pleasantly surprised by the food as it was decent and there was a good selection for everyone. Plenty of picnic tables and shade for us to eat outside as well as indoor seating. As a father it was nice to see how much safety is prioritized here. It brings a great feeling of comfort to know they are strict about who they let in and ensure those leaving are leaving with their child. Finally, the staff is top-notch. Everyone we talked to was friendly and open to conversing with little kids just learning words. I wish I had gotten names to share but one staff member took the time to lead us the the pigs my son wanted to see and another invited us in to play with the calfs and even got my son to brush them. Overall it was a fantastic experience and we will definitely be back, especially in the summer time for when the water park area is open again. read more

Such a disappointment! If you are looking for an Autism friendly place to go this is not it! They will only allow admittance if you have a child 12 and under. NO EXCEPTIONS! Even if you are like me and have a child with Autism who just turned 21 and all he wanted was to see the cows on the farm for his birthday. He has the heart of a 6 year old but the manager there said he did not care. No exceptions! I explained that he has Autism and intellectually he is 12 and under but he did not care and neither did the snotty young lady there that just kept saying "well too bad that's our policy." So sad that they discriminate against people with disabilities and perpetuate it with the next generation. I wish I could have given them zero stars. read more

Took my grandson for his birthday. I was impressed by the young, attentive staff. They were wonderful. Very polite and accommodating! My grandson loves to talk and ask (a lot!) of questions and the employees were kind, patient and very positive to his questions and his birthday declarations! LOL. The farm has lots of open areas where the goats, lambs and other animals roam freely and the full cup of feed goes a long way for the little ones to feed them and enjoy petting and learning about them. There are play areas and enough shade spaces and benches to be able to spend hours even in the hot weather. The water park, still under construction, will no doubt be another huge draw to the park so we'll be sure to come back! Came here with some friends as a play date - the kids had a blast! You can't come on this side without kids as they also put matching wrist bands on you and your kid(s). And they do check it before you exit. With admission comes with a 15 mins hayride around the farm - which is fun as they tell you the history of the farm. There are a ton of things for the kids to do: - farm with live animals for the kids to see and feed - there are chickens and baby sheeps/goats that run around freely - a bouncy castle area with two bouncy castles - a pretend play area - which is amazing as the kids had a blast in there - a gem mining area - paid pony rides (which is a long line up) The apple cider donuts were good. read more

But seriously....three slices of over cooked brisket with two small sides, 4 1/2 ribs in a 1/2 rack and 5 beniots for $48.29? All this and no lube? Update: so now I've actually eaten the food. Still a brisket disappointment with fat not rendering properly but I had one slice and my dog enjoyed the other two so that's a thing and still hard, ribs were fall off the bone which in bbq terms is over cooked and the sauce had to much vinegar in it. The Mac n cheese was really good. Creamy, cheesy and worth getting. The bbq beans weren't bad but seems to have a bit more molasses than I would prefer but that is my own personal choice...you may love them. The Texas toast under the meat is a joke. It's for decoration not really eating. Pickles were really good, hopefully they made them but not sure. My 13 year old and I showed up today and were not allowed in with the combo tickets. Unfortunately the young man at the counter was quite rude about it. He just snapped "it's been our policy for 20 years." We are new to New Hampshire and drove an hour to get there. Nowhere on the tickets I bought did it say my daughter had to be 12 or under to get in. We started walking to the parking lot after being turned away and the same young man ran after us to grab our wrists and slice the wristbands off. This was not acceptable under any circumstance. My daughter is autistic and this was all a bit too much for her to process. Your facility should make accommodations for minors with disabilities. At the very least it should state clearly on the online tickets that you must be under 12 to get in. Exceptionally rude and unprofessional staff member. My daughter was left feeling like she had done something wrong after this interaction. Wouldn't recommend at all. I lodged a complaint and was completely blown off. My only complaint is that sometimes the workers can't seem to advocate for their space when it comes to showing the animals to children. That's no one's fault aside from management though. I love this place in the summer! There's so much to do and you can really spend the whole day, even if it is too cold or out of season for the splash pad. That said, on a hot day the play and spray area is one of the best I've been to. There's a bubble pit! And then a car wash! And a special area for toddlers. The ice cream is superb, lots of allergy-friendly options, adorable animals you can hold and feed and pet and of course a tractor ride. We've done a splash pad birthday party and they were so easy to work with. Great customer service, really fun party. Totally worth the hour long drive from Boston! read more

Unbelievable first time here with all 3 of my kids, my husband and I- while pregnant during covid! Let me start by saying I'm as sure I had to pack so much to make sure we were "safe" and boy was I wrong! Davis farmland is by far the cleanest business we've visited during covid and there hasn't been many due to being high risk, the staff did a phenomenal job from all the sanitizer and sinks all over, to the staff constantly cleaning and sanitizing right behind you or in front of you, to all having mask and still being beyond friendly! The bathrooms which we visited a few of were so so clean. We used the water park, hayride, pony rides and farm we also ate lunch there! We loved the animals!!!! The park was not packed at all and everyone kept there distance! This is a safe fun place to go during this awful time in this world and we loved loved loved it we drove over a hour and will be doing it again! read more

First off, I don't think Amy went to Davis Farmland. They offer AAA discounts, so we saved some money that we then applied to feed cups, so we got free feed. Walking in, we were greeted by a few goats and some sheep that my little one was wicked excited to see. The animals felt like they were very well maintained. I say this, as my little one's love for petting animals came about a few months back, we've been around a bunch of goats, sheep & horses. All the ones here were just softer overall. They offer great complimentary things that I never would have thought I'd see. For example -- a 'boo-boo station' in case your kid trips, or gets too close to the pecking animals. Forget sunblock? They have some that you can use - at no charge. Should I have said that? Oh well, please don't abuse it & ruin it for the rest of us. They have a decent place to eat - I didn't think the prices were terrible - but you have the option to bring your own lunch - so be prepared to pay if you don't supply yourself. The staff were helpful, bringing around both tiny & miniature animals for the kids to play with and answer questions. The playground was nice & one section had an age restriction of 3, but some parents didn't follow the rules and it showed; tisk tisk tisk. We left because the little one was getting wayyy too tired, but there were still things that we didn't do in our 3+ hours at Davis Farmland. This was a place that I could take my 1.5yo and let her run around without the worry about her being trampled by bigger kids - there was so much room to run, fall just have fun. Holy Smokes! I hadn't been here since I got lost in the corn maze about 20 years ago at a birthday party when I was 8. But my wife went early in the summer and she was raving: Baby goats, a splash pad, baby goats, cows, baby goats, playgrounds, you get the idea! So we went as a family one afternoon and it was excellent! I only give it 4 stars because 25 dollars a pop is a bit bunch with a family of four 100 bones is a bit much, but you get ALOT!!!! There are countless amounts of yes baby goats that you can hold and pet, my daughter and wife loved this (mostly my wife). There are animals a-plenty to pet and most of them you can go into their area and pet or brush them. The employees young and old alike were all very friendly and many of them are very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. There are donkeys, cows, turtles, snakes, deer, emus, donkeys, you name it!! On top of the animals (not literally), there is a large zero-depth splash pad and many little playground areas for kids. It would be easy to spend most of a day here and not have your little ones or you get too bored. Nestled a away a bit for sure, but a great place. read more

We took our 3 year old son and 11 month old daughter here today. I don't think we could've asked for a better day. The facilities were in great shape and there were so many things to do. My son is an animal fanatic and it blew his mind that he was able to pet, cuddle and feed the animals. The water park was amazing! There is almost too much stuff to do for his age though! At 3 he is still napping and we couldn't get through everything they have to offer since there are so many amazing attractions. We will be back and hopefully can explore what we didn't get a chance to see. The staff were all super friendly and so encouraging with the kids to interact with the animals. We felt extremely safe with our kids there as there is a pretty strict wristband practice where we all get matching numbers and you have to show them before leaving. If you have young kids this is a must do, especially if they love animals. But there is also so many other things that you could also make a day without even looking at an animal! read more

I went here this past week with my four year old daughter and her pre school class.. No complaints from me about the price of admission as we had a group rate that included the hay ride at less the the cost of general admission. Our guides were excellent. They were with us throughout the tour and explained so much to us. I had no idea that they were the largest farm animal sanctuary in the US or that they had so many endangered animals. While there were some animals that we couldn't pet, most of the animals were very friendly and came right up to the kids. The fact that it was just before their (the animals, not the kids), feeding time probably didn't hurt. There were baby goats and sheep came right up to us in the walkways which was fantastic for the kids. Someone smaller then them. There was a picnic area to sit and relax after the tour. I think it's great that they allow you to bring your own food into the park. There's a play park for the little ones to run off any extra energy. Good on their part that the Country Store is located right at the exit. I'd definitely come back again, maybe even take on the corn maze too. read more

Its the perfect place for kids between 2-8 but the whole family will have a blast. The animals are so well taken care of and the employees are very friendly. The waterpark is the best spot to wait for the sun to go down a bit and get to enjoy the bouncy house (it gets really hot). I would recommend bringing your own snacks as the food isn't the greatest.
