MULTIPLE groups and families were in the same situation as us. We all got bamboozled. I asked to speak with the manager for a refund. No can do. But we can refund you IF you give us more money to switch your pass to a membership. LOL. And, it's one thing to enforce the (sneaky) terms and conditions. It's another thing to enforce them, but express a sliver of empathy while doing so. Nope, there was none of that. Hmm, you wonder why sales aren't doing well (on top of some headline news.) TLDR: gold pass is NOT = gold "membership" subscription. Customer service was abysmal. So sad, I used to love going to Six Flags. Bye.

The rides were running with several open chairs which contributed to hour long waits for each ride. Security was called a couple times for line cutters and the response was to just let them keep their spot and ride the ride. The haunted houses were a joke - we waited in line for one of them for 30 minutes and were not even close to half way through because it hadn't moved more than a couple yards forward. There is no reason why those shouldn't have been close to continuous, the houses are just walk throughs! The food lines were also ridiculous, we sat in a fried dough line for 30 minutes because the staff were chatting instead of putting the pre fried dough on plates, it was already cooked they literally just had to put the toppings on it. Also they were absolutely using dirty oil or something for the fried dough, mine was inedible. Tasted like they'd been frying chicken or fish or something in it prior to the dough. Crowds really were not that bad either, we have been to this event on more crowded nights but the place was just ran so poorly you couldn't actually do any of the things advertised. Overall the experience was awful, especially compared to past years. Usually the food is great and the houses are all great but this year was terrible, we will not be returning any time soon.

The water park does not have a ton of shading, more umbrellas in the area would be nice and like always people put their towels down and don't return to the chairs. Reserve ahead of time especially on weekend days when it's hot out because they do sell out. It's crowded in the picnic areas but we were having so much fun in the water we barely got out. If you are overweight or not reasonably athletic you will probably want to bring a chair. Our favorite parts were the highest zip lines and the big slide because the wait time was more reasonable for both. We got wakeboarding passes but it was so crowded and slow moving we didn't even try. The crowds thin out after 4 so if you don't want to spend all day come after noon. 10-11am and you are waiting in line to get in even if you did the waiver in advance.
