It gave us pretty much just enough time to play 2 strings. Theay was $190.00 for this package. There was also $10.00 in coins for the kids to play cluded in the package for the arcade area. They supplied plates, forks and table cloth. It was your typical bowling lanes. They had arcades there too so there was more things to do there. The ravage gave out many tickets which was nice! The place was how I remember bowling lanes, lol, long outdated but fun. They had old score tables but they did keep track for you. It was a nice feature because I don't remember having that when I bowled 25-ish years ago. They do make pizzas there and have some snacks but there was something wrong with their oven so we ordered from the pizza place next door. They had soda vending machines and for adults it appeared they had some choices for alcoholic beverages. The parking was decent. Easy in and out. The place was busy mid afternoon. We had a great time. The employees were kind and polite and very helpful. My only complaint is that the bathrooms were filthy. We would definitely come back to bowl again.

The lanes are in good condition and it's an affordable place to visit. There are pool tables as well, if that's your thing. The small arcade at the front entrance can kill some time and is a great distraction for younger kiddos. There isn't much of a food service, so you've got what the soda machines against the back wall will provide for you. The staff is friendly, and there is a 4% discount for paying with cash.

A classic Candlepin Bowling alley and family owned Mom & Pop shop in every sense. The decor…read morereflects a time when the game was at its peak and was the 'in' thing to do on a Friday night instead of sitting at home watching TV or playing video games. The lanes themselves are well maintained in terms of finish and mechanics of the pinsetting equipment considering the business has been in operation for OVER 50 YEARS. They do lack automatic scoring, however in Candlepin bowling, automatic score systems are not always accurate due to the the use of felled pins in subsequent shots. Frankly, if you have a problem with writing on a piece of paper to keep score and think that is a reason to complain, you're a moron. Additionally they have a nice array of Brunswick tournament class billiard tables. There is also a bar and lounge with a decent selection for such a small operation and everything is modestly priced. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because their hours fluctuate unpredictably. Generally one can find them open on a weekend afternoon, but if you're looking for something to do after 10PM, it's rare that they're open that late. I highly recommend a quick call prior to arriving to confirm availability. Do yourself a favor and experience the classic New England tradition known as Candlepin Bowling at Canal Lanes.

This place has character, and character does require some patience. When balls returned, sometimes the hopped off into the neighboring lane and came hurdling at you, which was frightening and amusing. There were issues with the pin reset. But on the flipside, this was an incredibly neighborly, welcoming place, even for an outsider like me. Note: summertime hours are spotty, so be sure to call before coming.

I was genuinely excited about participating in the Holiday Market at Sonny's Place. I toured the grounds with one of their ambassadors, discussed my accessibility needs, and was told they'd help me secure a comfortable setup. I even took the time to alert their team about scam posts on Facebook from people pretending to collect vendor fees--trying to protect their community. Instead of being met with professionalism or gratitude, I was removed as a vendor without explanation. No courtesy call, no clarity, nothing but dismissive behavior from Mackenzie, the person handling vendor relations. After everything I shared and the effort I put in, her response made it clear how poorly these events are managed. To make matters worse, the building itself is not ADA accessible, which violates the basic principles of ADA Title III. As a full-time wheelchair user, that alone speaks volumes. Equal access should never be an afterthought. I came in with good faith, ready to create something beautiful for families and children. Instead, I left disappointed, stressed, and honestly shocked at how little care was given to accessibility or communication. Vendors--especially those of us in the disability community--should think twice before signing up. Avoid the headache and the heartache. You deserve better than this.
