I read the earlier reviews of this golf course which I found obsolete and way off. The Pro Shop staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Granted, the course and reservations can get congested resulting in a bit of frustration to be playing. However, its not what Yogi Berra would say, "No one goes there nowadays, it's too crowded". Rather, even with a little crowding, one leaves there with pleasant memory and wanting to come back. A very famous member there, Tommy T would reminisce from his overseas duty that Agawam Municipal Golf Course is numbah 1.

Garbage - water bottles, food wrappers, and liquor nips are strewn about nearly every hole. The nips have faded labels, so it looks like they've been laying around there since at least last year. Here's the kicker: I asked the pro shop clerk if the guys in our foursome could each have our own carts, for COVID distancing sake. He said we'd have to share carts, and if we wanted our own they'd have to to charge us more. More than $50. For a dump golf course. Never again.

Opening statement: The views of this course are worth 3 stars, alone…read more I met my eldest son at Westfield U. to drive him home, but we were going to take advantage of a BEAUTIFUL fall day by playing the Ranch, first. Our day started soon after we parked and two of the staff met us at my truck to offer to drive us up to the clubhouse. So nice and a great idea to keep golfers on schedule! They couldn't have been more friendly. We were quite early, as we wanted to warm up, but first we had lunch outside on the patio. Good food and friendly service, oh, and did I mention the view? After lunch, we met my sons roommates and played. The starter was very nice, as well as the counter staff, when paying. The course was in very fine condition, with very few leaves obscuring the fairways. The greens were in great shape, as well, despite the amount of play - just a well cared for course! The play was at good speed and we hardly had to wait at all, at any hole. We finished having had a GREAT day and I couldn't conjure a bad thing to reflect on. I HIGHLY recommend playing here. All of us were confused, because no one has talked to us our whole time golfing. And then he said he saw an empty can of beer in cart that wasn't purchased there and we need to leave. Eric ruined our golf trip for no reason. He should not be fit to manage an ant farm, never mind a club of that standards. He has absolutely no customer service. If I were the owner I would have a serious conversation with that guy. We'll never be coming back.

I've played a lot of golf courses, but Edgewood feels more like a post-apocalyptic pasture than a…read moremaintained facility. The fairways are dry, brittle, and full of clover -- like someone forgot this was supposed to be a golf course and not a bee sanctuary. The rough is so littered with lawn clippings it felt like we were golfing through a hay bale. Lose your ball? Good luck -- it's basically camouflaged in debris. Tee boxes? Some were so torn up I thought maybe we were supposed to tee off from the parking lot. One even had a full goose poop collection on display -- truly a wildlife refuge. And despite everything being bone dry, it's still cart-path-only on several holes year-round. Why? Who knows. Maybe the course just enjoys making you hike. The greens were actually decent, which was shocking -- like finding a perfectly iced cupcake in a dumpster. But by far the worst part was the staff. My friend and I were first-time players here, unsure where one tee box was, and briefly parked near it in the rough. Instead of offering directions or even basic decency, a man identifying himself as the "superintendent" yelled at us from across the road -- from inside his truck -- like we had just committed a federal crime. Maybe if they had better directions on the course as to where the next the next tee box is we wouldn't have had to do a circle Honestly, the interaction made sense; the fact the head greenskeeper was leaving at 10AM, because the entire course was poorly maintained. Joshua Lennie needs to get his priorities straight In short: Edgewood offers dried-up fairways, clippings galore, poop-laced tee boxes, and a warm welcome from a guy who thinks kindness is optional. I won't be back -- unless I forget what grass is supposed to look like.
