LOVED this place! The mini golf was wicked challenging and the fact that they had every video game console with almost every video game you can imagine was amazing!!! You can also play some Pool or grab your favorite board game and play as well! Not to mention it's only 15 dollars a day per person to use everything they have is such a phenomenal deal! I can't wait to go back

This spot is so much fun!!! The 18 holes minigolf course was challenging and so interesting to play! They have over 2000 board games and a lot of old school video games! After playing mini golf, and some of the more pub/arcade games like skee-ball, we asked someone to recommend a more table top and peaceful game. Quorudor was fun even though I lost both times. It's $12 for all day play ($10 if you come off peak), they stamp you so that you can leave and then come back! The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the dim lighting on the golf course but there is abundant light to play board games! Can't wait to come back and try out the other games!!

    More games...there are several "stations"

This place is quite literally a hidden gem and it's thee absolute BEST Gameroom I've been to. I have done many Yelp reviews and this has to be the first place that I've wanted to give like 10 stars. It's simply amazing and genius! I feel like they've checked off just about every box you can think of and that makes it stand out. It's located inside the basement of the Eastworks building, so if you're using your GPS it will likely take you to that parking lot. Follow the signs in the building and go to the basement. I add pictures to help others because I almost got lost my first time, but when I left and came back it was easy to find/remember my way. This is the aspect that makes me think "hidden gem", but they do have signs to direct you there. In my opinion, I'd much rather go here than D&B's or other arcades. One price gives you all day access to all of their games. Yes, I mean all for one price, which makes it super affordable compared to other places. It combines mini golf, table-top gaming, video gaming and nostalgia, but it feels so new and different from any other experience. While I was there I felt so comfortable and safe, which was important during COVID! It can feel like you're at home when you get so immersed into a game. The vibe is great and there is so much to do! There are tons of video games and even handheld games like Gameboy! They provide everything for you - the console, the controllers, the game itself, etc. If it requires special controllers for games like Rock Band, Guitar Hero and some shooters, they likely have it too! The video game set up is also SUPER easy and user friendly. Everything is labeled and you don't have to mess with any complicated settings since they use a switch box. You literally just push the button for the system you are playing and have at it! The games are generally set up in a timeline so you can literally take a trip down memory lane as you game. There are also binders with the list of games by system. It made it super easy to find the games that I wanted to play. If you're adventurous, the hosts can recommend some games for you based on what you like. The mini-golf course is SUPER cool and the materials used were wiped down after every use. You can tell that there was so much thought put into the design and it keeps you entertained for hours. There are also other recreational games like foosball, pool, shuffleboard and more! They sell drinks and snacks. Almost all of the drinks are throwbacks or nostalgic. As someone who does not drink alcohol, it was quite refreshing to see a place like this not serve alcohol. That means I could select from any of the options! I could also see this being a huge plus for parents that send their kids here. You can just focus on some great fun! The hosts were super friendly, informative and helpful. They enjoy the place just as much as you, which makes a huge difference because you can tell that they love and care about the place. They also take suggestions for games, etc. This place is an absolute dream come true and I am so grateful that it exists!! It would be my definition of the first true Gamers Paradise for the public in America. Everything about it makes you want to come back and I wish them the absolute best. I'll be back and I highly recommend it. Amazing job and kudos to the owner!!!

It was founded by Matt Snow, his wife Shelly Bansal-Snow, and longtime friend Chris "Crit" Crone. Matt has worked in technology for his entire career and has worked for various start up companies focused on ecommerce and analytics. He is also a huge fan of pinball and retro arcade games and had a longtime dream of opening his very own classic arcade. Matt and his partners set up their arcade at the Norwood Commerce Center: a 165-year-old historic mill complex that now operates as a multipurpose campus with multiple tenants. The arcade was a success and opened the door for franchising possibilities. A second location (owned and operated by Shelly's brother Aash Bansal) opened in Bloomfield (NJ) in November 2024, a third opened at Thornes Marketplace in Northampton the same month, and a fourth is scheduled to open soon in Suffield (CT). Each location features classic arcade cabinets, pinball machines, modern gaming consoles, racing games, rail shooter games, skee-ball, foosball, bubble hockey, air hockey, arcade basketball, Dance Dance Revolution, and even Guitar Hero Arcade. My sons and I recently visited Hometown's Northampton location while we were in town for the day. It is located in the lower level of the historic Thornes Marketplace. For $20, each customer can have unlimited play. My younger son is only 3 and was granted free admission, which is just as well because he is rather short and has trouble reaching the controls on most arcade games. The arcade has an excellent selection of classic arcade cabinets, pinball machines, and much more! I thought that it was pretty cool that they also have modern gaming consoles hooked up to TV sets: something that you don't see too often at arcades. Hometown also carries a small selection of snacks, bags of chips, cans of soda, and bottled water. While I wouldn't exactly call Hometown an "arcade bar" (something that owner Matt Snow hopes to change in the future), they do offer cans of "Hometown Arcade Ale" (American Pale Ale) which is brewed exclusively for the Northampton location by Progression Brewing Company who are right down the street. I enjoyed a can while playing some games; it was a nice, easy-drinking pale ale. We ended up staying at the arcade for two hours and had a blast the whole time. It's fun for the whole family. We look forward to returning to Hometown Arcade in Northampton (or perhaps one of their other locations) in the future!

I was genuinely excited about participating in the Holiday Market at Sonny's Place. I toured the grounds with one of their ambassadors, discussed my accessibility needs, and was told they'd help me secure a comfortable setup. I even took the time to alert their team about scam posts on Facebook from people pretending to collect vendor fees--trying to protect their community. Instead of being met with professionalism or gratitude, I was removed as a vendor without explanation. No courtesy call, no clarity, nothing but dismissive behavior from Mackenzie, the person handling vendor relations. After everything I shared and the effort I put in, her response made it clear how poorly these events are managed. To make matters worse, the building itself is not ADA accessible, which violates the basic principles of ADA Title III. As a full-time wheelchair user, that alone speaks volumes. Equal access should never be an afterthought. I came in with good faith, ready to create something beautiful for families and children. Instead, I left disappointed, stressed, and honestly shocked at how little care was given to accessibility or communication. Vendors--especially those of us in the disability community--should think twice before signing up. Avoid the headache and the heartache. You deserve better than this.

They also host birthday parties. General admission for kids 2 and older is $16.95, adults are free; if they have a sibling under 2, they are also free. I purchased the general admission ticket ($16.95) plus a pre-loaded $16 game bracelet for $26.95. Shoes are not allowed so socks are recommended. There was a snack area and tables for the parents. Restrooms were clean and had changing tables. The arcade area was small with an air hockey table, photo booth, and various arcade games. My toddler loved the dinosaur egg machine; there were toys inside those golden eggs. The playground has two levels and they were soft on the feet. The slides were steep but my son loved it; I can see why there's a disclaimer that it goes fast. There was an indoor go-kart track that my son also loved riding the little go-karts on; it went around the playscape. There were large Legos, blocks, a ball pit, a mini donut shop, ride on toy cars, and grocery store. We spent an hour and a half there and my son still didn't want to leave. My other son is a crawler, he still enjoyed the toys at the mini stores and the ride on cars. Overall it was 5 stars for my children and I; we look forward to going back and highly recommend it for kids 10 and under.
