The club house as well as the restaurant is exactly what you desire after 18 holes. Can't say enough about club pro Eric Nelson. His assistant Brandon is always available for 'the extra's' needed to maintain the 'club' atmosphere which is always apparent. Can't say enough about groundskeeper Ronnie and his assistant Ben. The greens are always lush and the fairways well maintained. Angel the 'chef extradanair' creates great dishes in the restaurant with golf themed names. Truly a great team! All of us were confused, because no one has talked to us our whole time golfing. And then he said he saw an empty can of beer in cart that wasn't purchased there and we need to leave. Eric ruined our golf trip for no reason. He should not be fit to manage an ant farm, never mind a club of that standards. He has absolutely no customer service. If I were the owner I would have a serious conversation with that guy. We'll never be coming back.

For the amount of play this course gets, the greens keepers here should get an award. It seems as…read morethough there is a tournament at Oak Ridge daily. However, every time I have played, the course is in remarkable shape. If you do something well, stick with it, I suppose. Every time I play in a tournament at Oak Ridge, it is exactly the same. Burgers, Dogs, Sausage on the grill for lunch. Blocks of cheese and tray passed kielbasa with a dollop of mustard at cocktail hour. Salad served family style with a fantastic dressing at dinner. Fine if you play in one tournament per year, a bit funny if you play multiple times per year. I have run a number of tournaments for charity in the past at a variety of different courses, including Oak Ridge. Oak Ridge is on their game, from beginning to end. They make the experience smooth, from guiding guests to their carts upon arrival, to the end of the round scoring, thru cocktails, dinner, and whatever ceremony you may have. Rest easy - they got it.

From what I understand, this course has been resurrected via a combination of the golf pro and his staff, the head greenskeeper and his crew and the town of Agawam's commitment to putting out a great product. I read the earlier reviews of this golf course which I found obsolete and way off. The Pro Shop staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Granted, the course and reservations can get congested resulting in a bit of frustration to be playing. However, its not what Yogi Berra would say, "No one goes there nowadays, it's too crowded". Rather, even with a little crowding, one leaves there with pleasant memory and wanting to come back. The holes are easy to find, although the leaves in the fall are a problem when it comes to losing balls. The only downside is the carts and the cart paths. First of all, it's at a golf course so if you're getting married outside you know the lawn will look amazing. They made planning a wedding so easy! Everything was right there so we didn't need to travel around. The ceremony was simple and right out front on a beautiful patch of grass leading to a great arch. The background views made for great pictures. The reception is where everything went from great to amazing. The appetizers were the best thing I have ever had; bruschetta and coconut shrimp. Dinner wasn't a let down either. We were able to choose from many different options and settled on prime rib, stuffed chicken and stuffed sole. All of which were preceded with soup and salad. No one was leaving hungry. Now cake, this came from an amazing bakery in Holyoke (which I have reviewed as well) Cerrato's Pastry Shop. Best of all the cake was INCLUDED in the price for food... yes you heard that right included. Made writing checks so much easier and my wedding planner just needed to send them pictures of what I wanted and she did the rest. Now to talk about Tori, the wedding planner, and her staff. They were all very professional. If I had any questions I just emailed Tori and she was very prompt at getting back to me. On my special day our waitress made sure that if there was anything we needed she would be there. I must say I highly suggest this venue for anyone looking to make a stress free amazing wedding.
