Homemade ice cream is the star but families love it for the mini golf and driving range and chip putt. I enjoyed the chocolate mousse with raspberry. My son had moose tracks. Friend had double trouble. It is just all so good. Creamy and full of flavor.

Did a round of par 3 . Course was not in real good shape. A lot of debris on greens and rubber tees were really tattered or non-existent.

This is going to be a very mixed review with a story to tell that will explain the rating…read more Yesterday I hosted a bridal luncheon for my new daughter in law in visiting from London. The service from the young ladies working the event was excellent. They were sweet and helpful to all of my guests. The food was outstanding, from the passed appetizers to the lovely and delicious buffet lunch, and ending with a delicious chocolate mouse. The tables were set beautifully and the large picture windows made it a lovely venue to spend the afternoon. My guests had a wonderful time and more importantly, so did my daughter in law. My issue is with the planning of the event. I found out 5 weeks in advance that she would be visiting so I had to put this together quickly. I spoke to the food and beverage manager via telephone on April 7. She said she could accommodate us and would e mail a contract. I then ordered invitations. When I didn't receive the contract I reached out to her via e mail the next day as I could not in good faith send out invitations without a contract sealing the deal. She wrote back she was too busy to see me but would get me the contract. She didn't. I reached out again early in the week and got no reply. I finally drove there and walked into her office unannounced 5 days after initial contact. She wasn't pleased to see me and told me she was very busy but did spare a few minutes and we did the contract. That continued to be the way this went. She didn't reply to e mails or phone calls when I had questions. I set up a meeting with her to review the menu in person instead on April 14. We did that and she said she would e mail me the event sheet. She didn't. After many requests it was finally sent to me on May 17, 4 days prior to the event. I had ordered wine glasses as favors for the shower and again, via e mail and telephone, asked when I should bring them by. No response. I finally reached her via telephone on May 19 and she said I could bring them over. I walked in with the case and she was down the hall from her office. Barely acknowledging that I was there she said leave them there on the floor, which I did and I left. Another question which went unanswered was if I could take home the leftovers. Yesterday during the shower she came to my table where I was talking and leaned in to whisper in my ear that I could not take leftovers due to a health law? I think she said. I was in the middle of a conversation and barely heard her. At the end of the event my 3 sons, the groom and his brothers, made an appearance to say hello. They asked if there was anything to eat so I asked one of the servers. The buffet had been cleared but I had seen that there was plenty left over. She needed to check with her boss. The food and beverage manager came out to tell me that she would charge me for 3 more people if my sons got food. I asked her what her plans were for the left overs and she told me she was throwing them in the trash. So I asked if you are throwing them away why can't my sons eat. She again told me she would charge me for 3 more people. At that point I told her to throw them away. This is a hospitality industry and she was anything but hospitable. I have 2 more sons who I will presumably be making showers for future brides, but I will not be having them here. And that is a shame because the event itself was well done. And that's the only reason they are getting 3 stars instead of 1.

I recently attended an event at Twin Hills. The room was nice but the food was terrible. The…read morechicken parmesan was definitely frozen. There was no sauce with it it was dry. The food was not hot. Not impressed. I don't know what they paid for it I would have been upset. I don't know about the golf...the food was much to be desired.

It's time for an update!…read more I want to start by saying if you have yet to come what are you waiting for?! But in all seriousness we have done a lot up here since I put the farm on the map. Lets start with our new kitchen! We have built a beautiful kitchen which has helped serve some delicious burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, fries & grilled cheese for you to munch on. While waiting for your order you can walk to the other side of the building to grab a craft beer from Fieldcrest Brewing Company. We do not yet sell ice cream but the plan is to have it in 2023! We do sell cider donuts and s'mores in our country store to help with that sugar craving. We have a stage for our live music! Starting mid July we start our summer concert series which has been a huge hit with the community. I personally love seeing our field covered with lawn chairs and smiles every weekend. We provide lots of games for the kids such as sport balls, tumbling towers, and disc golf while you are enjoying the tunes of your favorite musicians! And when you need a break you can take a tractor ride around the farm! During the week we have provide sunset yoga as well as farmers markets! What better way to enjoy the views than supporting your local community vendors and or taking in some relaxing yoga with friends and family. We still have all your favorite apples for picking AND we planted 250 more trees with plans this fall to plant even more! This will help us prolong our season to Columbus Day Weekend a few years from now. Please do not climb on the trees. We do provide apple pickers for those hard to reach apples. Any broken branches could increase the risk of disease and or kill the tree. The farm has now also turned into a venue for events! We have had a few weddings now this year, including Dan and his new wife Brooke! So if you are looking for a wedding venue why not here! Please scroll through the many pictures to see some of their pictures for a visual. Some things you may notice when coming up, we no longer have the pumpkin patch and the cows have been sold. We have butchered two of the cows so if you are looking for some grass fed beef just find Dan or myself and we'll let you know what we have. A couple reminders: Please drive slow. This helps keep the dust at a minimal, our neighbors will appreciate it, and with all the children running around we want to keep everyone safe. We do not allow outside food and alcohol beverages. Please leave your coolers at home. We are a pet friendly farm! Please pick up after your furry friends after they do their business. This is a farm so you will come across bees also enjoying the apple. Look before you step when picking apples. Could easily step on a fallen apple and roll an ankle. We do encourage exploration! The view from the upper hill is amazing and we recommend taking a walk to enjoy the scenery. And without saying please pick up after yourself, a clean farm is a happy farm. Thank you in advance for coming. We look forward to making Fern Valley Farms a destination for you to come and enjoy with friends and family for years to come!
